You have to give Ralph credit for being the lead singer because he caught himself from slipping and Plus! he didn’t miss a note while he was singing. Another thing Ralph isn’t breathing hard from singing and running around the stage dancing fast 💨 now that’s what you called real talent.
No group could touch New Edition. They didn't just do the 'doo-wop' routines, they did Hip-Hop/Street-styled moves no group in history has done yet, INCLUDING The Jackson 5 as iconic as they are.
Ralph was so sexy, he had that charismatic aura on stage. Ronnie was the most fluid dancer, amazing to witness . But, still, I can't stop watching Ralph.😍
Overdue Books and Paige's ... He was always the cutest 😍 up until maybe 5 or so years ago. Age has recently caught up with him, and he doesn't look as young as the others in the face. Ronnie, Ricky, Mike, and Johnny look great now--especially for their ages. Bobby could stand to lose a few pounds and give them to Ralph. 😂
Amari Hanifah That is exactly the problem. I think he was greying and thinning, so he chopped off his hair. And his mustache & goatee are too thin. Ralph is gorgeous with thick, black hair. He also needs to gain 10-15 pounds, and he'd be PERFECT again. 😍😍😍🙏🙏🙏
I remember going to this concert in 88’ at the UIC Pavilion in Chicago. New Edition, Bobby Brown and Al B. Sure....Nothing short of amazing! The good old days. Still have my ticket stub. #NEFan4Life 😊
I was at that same show, it was 5 of us and I was 14, was the best show ever. I was at the All 4 Love show also, I was 12 for that show and Michael B had stomach flu so every other song he was running off stage and none of the 3 other missed a beat and Mike came back in step. They will always be the best.
New Jack Swing not music or art....we literally watched the tape they released back in the day with all their videos and one day we were watching motown 25 and the next day it was N.E.....I kid you not. Hell, we watched the OJ trial because he didn't want to trach class at all.
I ain't seen nothin until you've seen the NE Heartbreak performance on Soul Train. He *almost* drops the mic, but caught it in the smoothest way possible. It was just genius!
I wish someone would upload New Edition Past and Present. This performance was on there and I used to have this VHS. Maaaan, the memories. Someone has that dang thing and needs to give up the goods!
This one is good but go and check the Crucial performance out at The New Edition and B. Brown Heart break tour. Live in Philly. OMG Ralph was getting it in. He tore that stage DOWN!! Bad to the bone. All I could do is 👀👀👀👀
Probably the closest we gone get to seeing footage from the Heartbreak Tour. I wish it was on VHS or DVD or something! Im always seeing comments of people talking about how amazing it was, im sad
Quanezia McGaughey absolutely the best along side the late great Cholly Atkins Motown's Choreographer who taught all the greats including the Classic 5 Tempts
New Edition offical is JUNE 29 Everyone! So spread the word. Show N.E. love by viewing videos from now til that day and after. Much to N.E. for bringing such great music over the years.
Ok. Is this NOT from the “Heartbreak Tour?” And just look at that quality. WHY hasn’t there been an official release of the tours from the ‘80s. God I can’t stand when entertainers sit on material that is intriguing to fans, AND could make them A LOT of money. This really upsets me.
Javaughn Lemonius I agree. I wrote this two years ago and since have been blessed with actually FINDING a recording from that tour as well as many others. They’re on my page NOW! 💜
Please don’t be at NE, I don’t know how this clip snuck threw the cracks, but I believe NE was selling their tours back in the day on their website! The NE HB Tour is on RU-vid, but it’s really grainy! MCA st the time is the one who should have made a quality video! Not NE! These gentlemen have been getting the rough end of the stick on production and money, but I think they are being appreciated now! Not a diss to you are anything, because I love NE, want anything I can see or hear from them, but it’s just not their fault! Peace!
when you say better, you have to be very careful ! The Jacksons were a strong self-contained super musical talented family unit with a dynamic lead singer/frontman...what made the Jacksons great is because EVERYBODY KNEW THEIR ROLE & PLAYED IT WELL ! MJ can't play bass like Jermaine & Jermaine can't play keyboard like Randy.....Same thing with New Edition...EACH component is important regardless of who has a bigger solo career or who was a better singer or dancer
WHAT?! A performance where you actually get live singing & great moves...Say it ain't so...LOL N.E. is classic, timeless and they still getting it done
let's get this clear....STOP WITH THE COMPARISONS !! The Jacksons set the STANDARD for what New Edition has been doing for 30 years....When New Edition came in the game, they just took the Jackson 5 blueprint a step further by combining the old school steps with the new school hip-hop breakdancing..MJ had to LEARN how to come to the hood & pay money to learn how to be a street dancer...NEW EDITION WAS ALREADY THAT GROWING UP IN BOSTON
I love it. Go and se their Crucial performance @ the live Philly concert. You think this one was good. OMG, that one in Philly was ELECTRIFYING!! Let me know what you think.
I look at a situation like New Edition and their enormous performing talent and just shake my head at how the World overlooked them, basically in favor of (even I got love for) New Kids On The Block who, is a lukewarm copy of N.E. New Kids On The Block deserved success but, N.E. was robbed. $1.5 Billion in record, ticket, & merchandising sales should have went to them. They were the 'Michael Jackson' of groups back then.
Hey, all creation's magnificent beings..I feel like I must say that..EVERYTHING will be ok..whatever it is that you are going through..IT IS NOT that serious..there is sunshine after the cloudy storms..A NEW DAY is just around the bend..JUST BE STRONG and hold on..UNWAVERING FAITH is all we need! :D
I saw the Heartbreak tour in 1989. My dad dropped off me, my best friend, and my auntie (chaperone) at the arena. Couldn't tell my 13 yr old self nuthin'.
@clayfamily LOL Yeah he did, but he recovered nicely. LOL! I remember going to see them at the big tour they did with MC Hammer, Guy and Michele at the UIC Pavilion. Nice show.
I see it time and time again these new singers sound like horrors live and the excuse their fans give is it's hard to sing and dance at the same time well new skool this is what talent is all about getting them both done with class OLD SKOOL ALL DAY!!!!!!!!! AND DON'T GET IT TWISTED NEW EDITION STILL PUTS IT DOWN IN 2012 YA HEARD ME!!!
It didn't hinder MJ's dance prowess being with his brothers...IT ENHANCED IT..In addition to Jeffrey Daniels Of Shalamar, Tyrone Procter (Soul Train), The Lockers, MJ copped a lot of shit from his brother Marlon who was the main choreographer of most of the group's famous routines which makes sense because they were the dancers of the crew along with Jackie...MJ even says this in his autobiography..
@LGKids Oh my goodness! I remember renting that video from Block Buster! I first saw that on my 12th birthday back in 1991and I really DID loose my mind! They were so cool!
