They were a little before my time but I am so happy to have learned more about this legendary group. Ralph was the man with the voice and smooth dance moves.
I was 14 years old in 1988, when I fell in love with this song and I just turned 49 2024 and I'm still in love with it if it isn't love that I feel for them❤❤❤❤..😢😢thank you RU-vid..😘
Recently, i saw a interview of the group. They all seem to agree that Ronnie is the best dancer in the group. They agreed based on Ronnie’s ability to lean a dance routine faster then anyone in the group. When i heard that, i was amazed because all of them look flawless.
You gotta give it to NE: it takes a serious degree of focus to be able to nail this performance -- with changes to the original choreo and a slightly shortened performance time, no less -- despite it being too easy to miss steps because the audience in front of you is dancing to the words and freezing like deer in headlights during the beat breaks lmaooo. Props to NE, they are consummate professionals.
You hit the nail on the head, I was thinking the same thing. How distracting it must be to have a live audience, that close, most of whom have no rhythm, and be able to hit your steps.
Is It Just Me? You, All Notice How Happy The Group Is, When It's Just The 5, Of Them? Their Steps Are Together. They Don't Sing Out Of Turn. NE 4Life!!!!
Ralph is very selfless. Anybody who questions Ralph being the lead need to educate themselves with Ralph's performances from young to now. Ralph is a legit star make no mistake he is the total package. The NE movie have some people talking nonsense Ralph loves the stage but he also want people around him to shine. Ralph going solo early would have meant NE would have been nonexistent that is a fact. Ralph being the lead and not selling the most puzzles people but think about it like this New Edition the group is behind the Jacksons when it comes to being the most influential boyband ever but the album sales don't tell the story. NKOTB and Boyz ll men who sold way more albums both in the top ten of all time boyband sales still get more accolades then NE even though NE birthed them that is a fact why because of album sales. The irony is NKOTB is a carbon copy a group that Maurice Starr called the "White New Edition" and Boyz ll men named after a NE song but they still sold way more then NE. Read more REPLY
@@TerrellAmari Ron and Mike sing baritone and "bass" respectively in the group harmony. They can be heard in quite a few live performances if you know which part(s) to listen for. When they perform this song in particular, JG and Mike sing the same notes at opposite ends of the scale (I think Rick originally sang the highest part and then he and Johnny swapped it at some point).
This Is Where They Paid Tribute To Us By Doing The Dance We Made Up Called The Troop And They Did It Twice It Really Made Us Very Proud Of Them...Troop& New Edition Fam Fa'Life One Love Fa'Sho...Oh Yeah First Time Troop Dance At 1:36 2nd Time Troop Dance At3:07
Spread My Wings and All I Do Is Think of You were my on non-stop repeat when I was in elementary school. Y'all were our Westcoast New Edition. Thank you for the classics and the memories.
This performance was literally at the Super Model of the World Pageant. It's just like how they cut to the Victoria Secret models during the performances at the fashion show.
I'm happy that NE's music and choreography was so good that they had stiff and probably stuck up models shaking their ass...all while most of them being stiff. They rocked their world with good music they probably didn't listen to lol
@@robertchambers369 I don't think the entire performance was lip synced. Timestamp 2:57 - 3:00 you can clearly hear the improvised background vocals. That isn't on the original studio track and you can hear that at times in some of their other live performances.
