The First Descendant is a free third-person cooperative action RPG shooter featuring high-quality graphics. I appreciate your video and explanation but I’m not doing this. Way too many hoops to jump through, I never got my Twitch drops because I guess I linked it incorrectly. This just seems like more of that same sort of thing.

Yeah im not touching this event, based on the comment section its a mix bag of responses and most jist dont trust the idea of dealing with this flawed linking process, especially for rewards that arent really special outside of crystals and gold. Gonna just leave this alone until they fix the problem first.

Logging in with guest play worked perfectly for me. I just kept the browser open while I was playing and refreshed the window to see my progress update.

Question. Did you log in on a pc using that guest option for xbox? Or did you pull open edge DIRECTLY on the xbox itself to then log in as a guest using Xbox? I'm asking because I tried on pc using that xbox guest option, and then website just effectively did nothing. the 2 times I tried it, it accepted my sign in attempt using my xbox info...but then when the page refreshed, it was like quite literally nothing happened/changed. It was still showing like I needed to log in.

@@PapaAwiz I actually play on PC with Steam. I was logged into the game, used the event link in game and logged in with Steam Guest Play.

@@PapaAwiz I logged in guest play on my PC using my playstation account, after clicking log in on the event page itself. I think that might be due to adblockers since I tried previously on my phone but I had the same problem as you that nothing happened and it was still prompting me to log in. Hope this helps

@@JeyJ24 not really. it distributes a small amount of inconvenience to the playerbase so the devs can focus more on content. soon as an issue with the event update happens and the game is down for patching, you'll start whining too though i'm sure.

I play on playstation and do it as guest and I'm over halfway towards a crystal Catalyst already and once I get the max amount I'm allowed of those I will start using the points towards Ulta precision Breakers because those Enzo mods are hard to come by LOL it's a process to get your account linked but it's really not that big of deal in my opinion. As long as you don't have to sit there for weeks if you mess it up and lose your account and in my opinion they should have come out with a step-by-step process for every console and PC to exactly show people how to do it step by step. Instead they just released it and unfortunately gamers are morons. I know I'm one of them LOL

I lost my PS5 progress after linking during week one release. Had to unlink the PS5 account. Only then was the original save restored. I'll be honest. At 700 hours played, I can not risk linking again, and the file permanently gets lost. I'll sit these side events out. Great video as always, and I hope it works out for other players.

It has been awhile since I've played but Kuiper was always more plentiful than gold. Enzo vaults makes Kuiper a non-issue unless something has really changed in season 1

I have 7 million kuiper right now and only 2 million gold lol I’m struggling getting gold are invasions hard? I haven’t tried them yet bc I heard mixed things about it 😮

@xxfoul3gacyxx783 They are very easy. Step on colored plates or deliver brains. They give a lot of gold like enough that I thought it was the old bug where it lists your current gold value as the reward value.

I tried creating a Fresh Nexon account using the same email as my Xbox account I’ve been trying to link up, each time I try linking my Xbox to that Nexon account, my game refreshes, and im stuck on a wiped account. Unlinking the Xbox account gives me back all my progress. I’ve even said screw it and tried starting over with the new account progress and setting up cross play on my PC, but the accounts weren’t linked properly so any progress on my PC, wouldn’t cross over to my Xbox, and vis versa. Thank you for pointing out Guest play as it will be for me, for now.

What I did on PS4 was to link it on PC, there is an option to log in with ps network account, it linked it instantly.

It's literally two button presses to do it as guest and if you want to link it it's really not that bad. I guess Gamers just want these developers to play the games for them. I think it would have been better if it was in game but it's not and they're giving free stuff and they don't have to do that. So I'm not going to complain. I'm going to show them my appreciation and take advantage of the free content

Yeah sorry this shit is super lame. I'm not logging into a website and doing stuff for rewards when it should be in game. Its inconvenient as all hell. Idc how easy it for them. I tried to get it started and it was being goofy, so I said the hell with it and shut the game off. I was on vacation and didnt play for a week, now looks like I'm done totally. It was good while it lasted though. On to MK1, SH2, and Alan Wake 2 dlc.

This game already requires a lot of "work" to play. Why would they add another task that has a high possibility of creating even more problems? I know, you answered that up front. Less work for devs = more work for players. Thanks for the heads up video and thanks to all the posters for sharing the problem(s) you encountered! Seems like the juice is not worth this squeeze.

I tried logging in as Guest with Steam. Never finished authorization, page just refreshed back to log in page. No idea what's going on, but clearly Nexon messed something up.

Ok I have a new problem associated with this nightmare event. I forgot my password to the current Nexus account that I have linked to when I do a reset password request. It says the website has 20 different errors and the code is unsuccessful so I need to wait 5 mins to resend the code which results in the same loop. So my question is, can I unlink the account without losing anything progress from the in game Tab and then make a new account and re-link it?

I create a Nexon account 15 years ago to play DOF, and I linked this acc to steam. Now, playing TFD, I realise that this old acc still linked to my steam. There no way to acess this old account outside Steam. Trying to reset password implies in a loop of unsecessfully verification code each 5 minutes.

@@moito8update to this situation, I was able to download a Nexon game mobile app (dynasty Warriors m) on the app i hit reset password which then actually send a reset password link instead of a code. However, once I reset my password and tried to login. It said my account has been reset because of suspicious activity and I need a code again which yesterday prompted in the same infinite loop. BUT I tried this morning just to see and the code finally worked without an error. So maybe the error is just when the website is experiencing heavy traffic? Hopefully this helps.

I hope nexon didn't continue with this web event, there a risk of loosing progress. And guest account login have so much problem, i can login on 1st day using steam after few tries. 2nd day nothing happened after login, checking console there's a lot of cookie error warning. Using different browser, disable addblock & tracking also didn't work

I do appreciate your video , as now i got to see the rewards, but based on that I am sorry i will rather go grind on the game to build the catalysts, the rest is not even worth the thought. I am not risking it till there is 100 % no linking issues. Too much effort already to lose it so easily even if i could jump hoops to get back maybe.

Do you get free items or something? Why wouldn’t you get fine adjustment. U eventually run out of material to craft them. And yet I have 40 million gold from doing invasions. the best items to get are crystallization, weapon proficiency and fine adjustment. Everything else is useless.

Not worth it. This should be a feature in the game. Full stop. Dev's have been pretty great so far but this whole thing is a miss for me. And I understand the "then just don't do it" argument. I'm not and will never. Unless it becomes a menu in game. To everyone enjoying the event, that's great. Doesn't mean it's not a poorly implemented system.

Pro tip: Always link games that need to be linked, before you even start playing, you'll avoid every bug ever that wipes progress unless it's one that's just associated with a bug outside linking.

My TFD Account says that it is already linked to a Nexon ID? I have absolutely no idea which email or account that its linked to. I try to login using Steam ID and it redirects with an errors saying that my steam is linked to a Nexon account and I need to use that. VERY Frustrating but I am not going to risk loosing my account progress just for a little bit of gold and 1 catalyst

Ok so I’m in a weird one. I linked my account probably either day 1 or 2 and have played (almost) every day since day 1. So I’ve double and triple checked and I’m linked and everything is normal. However, when I check my progress on the event, it did not come up “completed” on the challenges, even though I played. I cannot load the in game browser for some reason. My internet is working and PS up to date. I’m using website in mobile to track. Would not loading the browser in game affect the event?

Nexon has said numerous times, if you link your account AFTER you start playing, it will reset your progress. Why in God's name would you do this for an event that isn't even in game? People's reading comprehension skills are just awful. If folks paid attention to the info they're given, meaning READ the info, this sort of thing wouldn't happen nearly as much. These web "events" are silly and very few people even need any of this crap. Seriously, just pay attention to the statements the devs have made more than once.

Did you unlink your game from Nexon? From what I understand, if linking starts you with a fresh account, going in and unlinking will return you to your original account. It’s not a solution to getting the event stuff, but I think it’s easy to at least get your stuff back.

@@GamingonFiction yea I unlinked to c if when I link back up it would register that I been doing activities for the freyna event when I hit link account to relink again it out me on a fresh account with a different #number I unlinked again linked it back again and still brought me to the new account I took a screenshot of my actual account and one of the new account and submitted a ticket I hope they help
