You will get a better FPS, if you lube the barrel. And the pellets. I'd put maybe petroleum gelly on the pellet. And gun lube in the barrel. Pellets will fly right out

Had several issues with my Gamo Maxxim. I called customer service and they are ABSOLUTELY the best company I have ever had to deal with on a warranty issue. I was so happy with Gamo that I bought another one of their rifles. Go Gamo and GO BRAVES!!!!!

No they aren't...stop giving false information...they won't sell any parts.. period.. how is that great product support? I don't care what you buy..a car a motorcycle..a washer and dryer..a air rifle..you will need parts to maintain them..if the manufacturers don't sell parts it's garbage..

@@AirgunDetectives HI JC...I'm not sure what you find amazing about... calling gamo trying to order a piston seal/nitro piston/a spring for a break barrel..etc..and them telling you sorry we don't sell parts..your burnt.. take your rifle and trash it..I'm not sure what's so amazing about that.. 🤔..hmmm...on the bright side tho..it is a perfect excuse to buy a new rifle... the bright side... the scrap steel from the gamo will be sent to China and turned into some crap for Walmart I'm guessing 🤔...so ya.. that's pretty amazing..myself/the Chinese/JC/and Walmart all think gamo is amazing.. 😂 lol..

I have had the opposite experience. Daisy, Gamo and BSA are all now the same company. My experience has been warranty service with both BSA and Gamo. I was taken care of with great customer service. I actually covered their service in a review video with the original Bone Collector. Now, I have not attempted to purchase any specific parts, which is good, since I have never had a Gamo gas ram fail. I always use aftermarket pistol seals on my tunes. I have replaced many Hasan Vortex rams and a couple of Umarex, but my Gamo rams have been great.

@@AirgunDetectives Well I'm glad that you had no problems mailing your rifle to gamo/Daisy and claiming warranty issues..good thing you kept the box/receipt/most people lose that after a few months including myself...but the the fact is that their company policy is they do not sell parts for the products they sell.. period...no they won't sell them to you..not an opinion.. it's a fact..you can't buy any parts for their products.. this makes this a disposable rifle however they charge a premium price? It's like sending a new car you bought to the junkyard because you can't buy brake pads for it.. that's bad business..ridiculous.. know why a Yamaha motorcycle sells for 6k and a Chinese knock off sells for $1.200..the Yamaha has parts available the knock off has no parts available you buy it/break it/put it in the trash..that's gamo ...but they charge for a Yamaha.. 😂..I'm not a penny pincher I have disposable income..I buy premium stuff.. I like quality stuff..I like the fact that quality stuff is always serviceable..I like to keep my stuff..get to Know my stuff...gamo is not good stuff..it broke quickly/no parts available/in fact I really did put it in the trash..I'm not just saying that..I put a gamo magnum rifle in the trash because I could not buy parts..it still looked like new...you might want to think about that..

That was excellent!, I had never really heard of Gamo until I moved to Spain. And on a crazy "to heck with it "moment I bought the Roadster 10x and just like you say what a good gun! Looking that that beauty you have just shown us I feel an other mad moment coming on… I will be buying the bipod for the Roadster and almost certainly for that one too! Excellent review! That accuracy and power is indeed very impressive. The synthetic stock looks like the one I have on my meanwhile older BSA XL "Tactical" in .177: very ergonomic, well designed and sturdy. BSA will for sure have brought significant airgun "know-how" to Gamo.

On top the fact that you will get stronger, the rifle gets significantly easier to break the barrel once you've used it awhile. I've shot probably 600+ pellets through my Gamo .25 caliber Magnum at this point, and it is much, much easier to shoot.

Nice job John. I love how you check for the best pellets. If the Barracuda greens do well. I wonder about the 21 grain Barracuda or Barracuda match pellets? Those might get you 30 ft lb?

Yes...I tried many, many pellets. To my amazement again, these greens were clearly the most accurate. The accuracy was not as good with the heavier pellets but close enough for hunting. 👍🏻😉

Gamos comena long way in rhe last decade?.. Well - You can say that again! 😁 Back when ai bought my first break barrel I was so happy that I found a Crosman (Phantom .177) for myself - rather than a Gamo (which were more easier to be found sold even then). Nowadays I'd definitely buy myself a Gamo, if I was out for a new break barrel.. And yes, I'd most probably get this particular model. -Thank you so very much JC, for another awesome review by AgD. 😊👍🏻

Hi Bror...Gamo has came a long way! The accuracy has definitely improved over the years. I can honestly say I was pleasantly surprised. BTW I just completed filming on the ASG 1911. I blamed you for me spending $100🤣 It did really, really well!

Impressive gun! I think I will try the barracuda greens in my Gamo Fox springer, my Maxxim Gen II to see what effect they have on accuracy. However, both those guns have about half the fpe of the Magnum Pro. Thanks for another great video.

I have good luck with the Greens in the last three Magnum rifles. I have a new Hunter Extreme Pro and the greens work well in that rifle as well. I have a review on that coming out in a few weeks. Happy Shooting 😉 👍🏻

The Barracuda Greens have always been the pellet of choice for myself since the first Gen one Magnum. Its a shame they cost 22 bucks for 200. An almost identical accuracy substitute is the Air Arms yellow label 16 grain pellets. 20 bucks for 500 for those. In my lower powered Gamo rifles the 11.75 GTO has always been the best pellet and are extremely accurate, however also very expensive. A good all around practice pellet is the Gamo Red Fire. They are always adequate in accuracy up to 40 yards or so. There are exceptions for sure and two worth always trying is the 18.13 JSB in t he magnums and the H and N 14.66 5.54 head size in the lower power rifles. Cheers Kit

I ended up buying the Gamo Magnum Pro Gen3i after watching this video. In the same order I also purchased the Diana RWS LP8 Pellet Pistol, after watching your video on that model. I have that earlier model and I had BIG accuracy problems with it. I tried 25 different pellets, I polished a barrel and then I removed that mag system and after that it started to group and hit targets.

And another thing you can add into your remarks you can also put a post in the ground with a hole in it and make it to where you're not going to scratch your gun up and use that as leverage just saying. My father's 82 years old I bought him this gun and that's what we did he loves it You don't have to use muscle to cock it if you know what you're doing.

I got one of these recently, I might check out that trigger kit you offer. Anything below 2lbs seems much too light to me, but I can't knock it till I try it. I did have two complaints about the rifle- number 1 is that the scope can't be too long in length, I wanted to be a goober and put a rather large (and totally overpowered) 4-16x on it, but it didn't end up fitting so I just stuck a cheap Chinese piece of crap 3-9x with parallax adjustment on there. The other complaint is while the stock in general is extremely comfortable, the grip section just feels weird. There's a crease that goes from the underside of the trigger guard to the stock, and it crosses your palm. It's by no means like irritating, but it is uncomfortable at times. I would have much preferred a Magpul-like ergonomics for it. Other than that, it kind of feels like shooting a suppressed .22LR with subsonics loaded. For a break action it's insanely powerful and accurate, overall very happy with it.

I just bought a Gamo replay magnum .22 gen2. (replay is an european market and swarm is for USA, no difference worth mentioning, if i get that right.) Anyway.. my gun is not even breaken in yet and Im amazed how accurate this gun shoots! it's crazy! Seems to really love Baracudas and crosman premier hollow points. I shoot consistantly in the same hole over and over again with those. It's crazy like i said! i really can't believe how good that gun is! groups are like PCP groups. Another point, i tamed this gun in under a 100 shots, so i guess it's not hard to master, or it just sit perfectly with me.. don't know but it's easy.

The accuracy equals that of an average PCP gun of that energy level (Artemis M16, Diana Storm rider etc.)... Very good!

Hi JC, how would you compare this Gamo with a Diana RWS 48? I have the 1st and 2nd Gen Swarms and a nice 48. Seems like the Diana has the edge?

The Diana is a piece of German engineering. I would give that the edge. But, the Gamo's have come a long way. The accuracy and the FPE are outstanding. 😉👍🏻

I have a Gamo Magnum .177 Cal. 1650 fps I guess it would be considered a gen 1 . This thing sounds like a .22 cal. rifle . My question to you is do they make or can I put a Whisper Fusion noise suppression on mine ?? If so is that something I can add on myself ? Or can I send it out to have it added ? Thanks Greg

I would use heavier 9-10 grain pellets. It will slow down the velocity, improve the accuracy, and quiet the rifle. Your other option is to get a barrel adapter, but you would have to remove the front sight. They make a 1/2-20 adapter so you can setup a suppressor.

I have to go with the whisper fusion mach 1. Gotta have a set of iron sights or the rifle is useless when your scope starts having issues. No magazines to buy or get mad at when they stop loading properly. Get a whisper fusion you’ll thank me later.

you know because you've used crosman hallows for the crono tests in every other guns review video i've seen, not using them to test this gun eliminates any real comparison data and speaking of crosman, with crosman pellets being the most accessible and affordable pellets sold in the US, viewers would probably appreciate knowing how good or bad crosman pellets work in whichever gun you are reviewing. I know for me, because my guns are purely for recreational shooting, i couldn't or wouldn't justify paying the exorbitant cost for boutique pellets, any of my guns that don't shoot at least acceptable with crosman just stay in their cases, just thought i'd share another view on the subject........

I tried looking at your shooting technique (I know it varies slightly rifle to rifle) but am I correct in assuming you are just bringing in enough shoulder pressure to stabilize the rear of the stock and then not pulling back at all with your shooting hand? I’ve tried many hold combinations and hand placements but seem to still be struggling with my springers

Hey Buddy, the technique varies depending on the Breakbarrel. Some like a firm shoulder rest while others a moderate rest. The Bipods take a lot of the guesswork out of it. You just need to experiment. If you are bag resting the rifle, make sure you place your open hand on the bag, then rest your rifle in your hand with a moderate grip. Just continue to experiment until you find your grove. Happy Shooting 😉

I have a few break barrels and ive always looked at the magazine break barrels and just seems like it's something that would break. Plastic and moving parts I dunno just always made me leary. Anyone had issues with their magazine/ reload set up breaking or failing? Just seems all plastic and wouldn't hold up but I don't have much experience with them and any of my buddies that hunt or shoot have a 10-20 year old break barrel or pump so RU-vid is my only airgun friend haha.

Bought my dad a swarm magnum for his Birthday aviasly a manufacturing defect the pellets never left the barrel got stuck inside the serpresser. Baught him a Hatsan flash instead.

I believe it has to do with your altitude (so I've been told) with these break barrels. Closer you are to sea level the faster your gun will shoot. My swarm Magnum gen3i shoots the 16 grain h&n right at 865. I'm at 1500'.

So, I'm genuinely curious here..I'm considering this model specifically because Gamo claims 1300 fps with he 22 cal model..but your Chrono is showing around 1000 fps..can you offer some explanation or context?

All Airgun manufacturers over state the FPS. When the rifles are testing in the factory for the highest velocity, they use extremely lightweight alloy pellets. FPS is not the true mark of a powerful rifle. FPE (Foot Pounds of Energy) is the true measurement. Also, anything above 1100 FPS breaks the speed of sound, and the pellet becomes unstable and less accurate. I show you realistic results during my reviews. Happy Shooting! 😉👍🏻

All is fun and games until the air piston craps out while sitting in a gun safe. Good luck calling Gamo and having them send you a new piston. Personally I would put in a metal mainspring if available, I bet it would last longer than an air piston.

I couldn't tell you. Only tested this one at a bit over 40 yds. I would guess, pretty good. It has the power for much greater distance. 👍🏻😉

My only criticism is that you need a heavy pellet for a minimal velocity of 800 fps, which is required for effective penetration. That accounts for all videos in which higher is not better, 900fps,1000 fps etc., I'm not interested in marketing figures thank you but minimal velocity to do the job. But besides that your videos are incomparable. Remember life begins at 800 fps😂
