The hens are outside and Mom needs the greenhouse space. I found a new use for the little elevator to save labor. Scoop scoop, fling! On a safety note, the hens turned the water on one night and whetted their manure down real good, so no dust.

On level ground it’s amazing what a small tractor can do. I got flack for small square baling with 175hp. I just say when you get to the end of the hill and have to make that turn down, I would feel better with weight and power. Nice video 👍🏻

Weight is always great on a tractor, and you pay dearly for it. Weight on a human, and no everyone is gone.

That tractor can pull more then you think, our 8N pulled Gehl self unloading silage wagons for years. Out of the fields, down the roads and it did a good job. Brakes were horrible on it so there wasn’t any stopping quickly. Keep up the good work, thx !!

I know it can pull, most of the time I run out of weight when moving loaded grain wagons around the barn yard.

TC getting it done! We've got a TC29 and TC33. Both are 4x4 hydrostatic. I think your gear drive probably puts the power on the ground better. Is it a 3x3 syncro transmission? 3 gears with lo-med-hi & reverse in each? Anyhow, that size and age New Holland is a very good tractor other than a couple of little electronic quirks. By the way, you sure get good use out of that little aluminum elevator. That is handy as a shirt pocket! Good Vid!
@boehmfarm4276
@boehmfarm4276 6 лет назад
Yep, its a 9 speed with dependent pto. It's gets a little annoying for mowing grass not having an independent pto. But I don't want a hydro for all the silage wagons we pull. We have been through three ignition switches and three starters.
@daviddaniken7248
@daviddaniken7248 6 лет назад
Ours like to blow a fuse in a plug to the starter. We have been through several ignition switches as well.

No, that's when thins would be dicey. I always pile up the cow poop since I have the bucket loader. The front of the tc would be in the air.

@davidwatt7663
@davidwatt7663 6 лет назад
I had a 1982 TW30 and a County 1004 they were both real nice Tractors . But unfortunately they had to be sold to raise money for the Divorce. But I know where they are and I plan to buy them back one day .
@boehmfarm4276
@boehmfarm4276 6 лет назад
i would die to get my hands on a County.
@davidwatt7663
@davidwatt7663 6 лет назад
I've always tried to by Classic Fords as there's no depreciation I sold the TW 30 for 75% more than I paid for it , and the County for Exactly double what I paid. That really keeps your machinery costs Down in the long run . I also had a more modern 7840 4wd which I had for 5 years and sold for £1,000 more than I paid . And the only thing it had in that time was a water pump. Your 6610 should be going up in value . They certainly are in the UK

DId not look like a heavy wet load like dairy or hogs lol so not a problem for ya and i run a Red Version of the TC being a DX 55 Farmall which is a great machine for loader and pto work and a much better tractor than the new LS Sourced Tractors that CNH uses now
@boehmfarm4276
@boehmfarm4276 6 лет назад
And that is the reason kubota is gaining market share.... Big US manufacturers don't care about that small tractor market. But those people are the ones with too much money burning a hole in their pocket and ten acres while they work in the city.
@AJmx2702001
@AJmx2702001 6 лет назад
Boehm Farm yes totally understand that and Kubota most likely will be painting the versatile tractor orange and calling it theirs soon
@boehmfarm4276
@boehmfarm4276 6 лет назад
I could see that happening. Versatile has been tossed around, but making good tractors despite not keeping an owner.

@@boehmfarm4276 Yup.... that was always the nice things about the Fords, and why we always bought and ran Fords... they were a nice, basic, well put together, no frills, and inexpensive to buy and maintain tractor. Just a nice basic workhorse for what you were spending. None of the fancy stuff like other makes that drove the price up. NH has forgotten that... well, I guess FIAT has now forgotten that LOL:) Now the Mahindra is the "cheap, basic tractor". Boehm Ford in Shiner is selling Mahindra's mostly now despite being a NH dealer... NH got too expensive and too "complicated" compared to the old Fords they replaced. The TN's and stuff, I see a lot of highway department shredder crews running them, but very few farmers. They don't hold up like the old Fords did, either. Cab NH tractors are about as expensive as Deere or CIH or anything else, so there's no real advantage to choosing blue over them, honestly... Mahindra has em beat on price and Kubota and plenty of others are moving into that market and pretty much have squeezed a lot of the "big tractor companies" out of the small end of the market, because they forgot how to build a low-cost tractor for that end of the market! Now Kubota is looking to muscle in on the bigger tractor market as well. Later! OL J R :)

Those were bedded with the wood pellet material too?? Looks like it breaks up really well. Any problems with it breaking down or tying up nutrients in the soil for awhile until the wood breaks down?? I've heard that wood chips/sawdust spread on land can tie up nitrogen and stuff until the wood fiber breaks down, think the bacteria grab it to use to break down the wood material. Just curious. Course, time release nitrogen ain't exactly a bad thing, either... particularly if you're using a starter fertilizer and either putting out most of the fertilizer pre-plant or later on sidedressed. Might work real good if the "time release" part kicks in around the time it's setting grain... beats foliar feeding or Y-dropping or other more expensive methods! Later! OL J R :)

we have a ford 2120 (45hp) looks like an older version of your TC30 but we always spread manure with it and we were planting with it and that weigth around 3.5 ton (yea it has a lifting capacity upgrade) (here a pic of the machines it lifts twitter.com/marijn130202/status/826456068469485568)
