Health features 💯, everyday all day. We're always holding our phones so we aren't looking for notifications on our wrists... blood pressure, heart rate, fall notifications, ECG... that's why I want a smart watch. Thankfully, Huawei is the one that I'm gunning for
Battery life and notification handling. My beef with these watches are the size, they just look like an omnitrix (Ben 10 reference) on my wrist... thats why i had the fit watch 2 and now the 3. Tried Galaxy watch 7. It has really good functions, and is really good looking, it is really like a phone on your wrist, but 1.5 days of batterlife with always on display, and without it 3 days max is not good, after using a huawei watch that has 10-14 days of battery nad 4-5 days with AOD. Health tracking accuracy is also kind of important, I mean if it cant at least track my heartrate failry accurately, then why am i paying a premium for a smart watch? I could just buy a regular watch that shows the time.
Battery life! I use the watch to track my sleep at least to have an indication. Impossible when I need to charge it every night. I have the watch ultimate blue and yes even with heavy use it's close to 14 days lasting
I have an original Huawei Watch GT, it's 6 years old now and it still gives me 5 days of battery life, with workouts and notifications etc still active so I can confirm for older models that the battery life does not degrade ridiculously over time. When I had it new it was around 10 to 14 days but still 5 days is awesome for a 6 year old watch. Still in immaculate condition too.
I’m a iMac, iPad and iPhone user, but I can't convince myself to buy an Apple Watch. If a Huawei smartwatch's battery lasts 14 days and a Garmin's lasts almost a month why the hell can't Apple make a damn smartwatch where the battery lasts at least a week or so? I always get annoyed when I have to change the battery in one of my watches and it only happens every 2 or 3 years. I can't imagine having a watch that could drain the battery before I get home at the end of the day. 909 euros for an Ultra 2 to throw at the bottom of a drawer after a week is a lot of money. I would like to buy an Ultra 2 but never with the current autonomy - or lack thereof - that they have.
I don't think they can't make a good battery life, It just they keep it I think they only think about profit, since even they release dumb new tech according to them not the majority people, their fanboy still buy it
I have the Ultimate watch from Huawei, great for basic use, sports...etc, battery stays for minimum of 10 days, I travel for business and back without taking the charger with me
A great review. I have been a fan of Huawei watches for over nine years, and have always been impressed with their battery life particularly on my Watch 4.
Have both the Huawei ultimate in blue for my daily watch, and the Huawei Ultimate Design for special occasions. Love the design and usability of these watches.
Great review, thank you for doing it. Subscribed your channel. I am happy user of Huawei Watch GT3 Pro Titanium, still going strong. No need to upgrade it yet to newer version. 🙂👍
“I can’t understand why Apple cant’”………….when are people going to realise that it’s not that Apple can’t. It can and has already probably roadmapped several years in advance when they will finally increase Watch battery life. But for the moment Apple fanboys are buying enough watches that they don’t need to. Eventually they will increase battery life and fanboys will lap it up and upgrade their perfectly serviceable devices and fawn over Apple for providing what others have provided for years.
Nice review, love the panda! I'm currently using an apple watch 6 which gives me 2 to 2.5 days without charge with heavy use (a couple of tweaks to extend this). That does me for a weekend. However, i want a smart watch that last for over a week without charging. My first thought was a Garmin light, accurate, supports payments, works with iOS and Android. However, the Huawei looks nice, though I'm not keen on chunky and thick looking watches. I am put off by huawei's customer service. Generally, I prefer more rectangular designs for my extensive use of smart watch features. But the circular does look very pretty and great for some uses.
Is the interface identical in both watches? Animations and everything else? Has Ultimate received an update for contactless payments and physical keyboard for text message responses?.I would like to buy Ultimate, but I'm afraid that it is starting to fall behind GT5 Pro.
Does the Ultimate have HR Broadcast? I can't find it info on it anywhere. It's basically a GT3 Pro in a different case, so it should ... but there's no information.
Apple watches, even when they are turned "off" are still actually on. I always turn my AW Ultra off when not using it. I use it only in the gym and when I play football. However, around 3 months ago, I noticed even though the watch was off, the screen was displaying a tiny (around 2mm) time stamp. I initially thought this was the night mode where when you lie it on its side it acts like an alarm clock. It's not, because the display is much bigger and my watch was in the proper wrist orientation. Apple watch is constantly listening to your conversations and sending back data. Mine was in the drawer when I noticed it was still "on". If you work with any job where you don't want industrial secrets being passed on, buy and wear, as I do a mechanical watch.
i love huawei watches (and phones , before the trump debacle) but the colors on the ring is killing it big time for me, hideous, off course that's personal
I was not accepting smart watchs due the fact that I need to charge them daily to use them!! Smart watch should be a tool to assist the wearer all year long. This is why we see Casio/ G-Shock watchs dominated the market. The moment I came across the Huawei GT2 which was in 2021 , a watch that last one month with a single charge, I stopped changing watchs for fashion (I have many watchs and I change them to match to what I wear). I just need to change the face and the strap. Now after 3-4 years am upgrading to the gt5 for the same reason. Simply a smart watch last long enough and support my daily activities.
I have a question. Does the updated version of the Watch Ultimate also have contactless payments and a physical keyboard for replying to text messages? If I remember correctly, the premiere Watch Ultimate did not have these features. Does it still lag behind the latest Watch 5 Pro?
Are the sensors in the Watch Ultimate improved? Or have they not touched anything since the premiere? I think the sensors in the Watch GT5 Pro are already improved?
Just got the Fenix 8 amoled after my Ultimate screen died after 15 months, same as my GT3 before it... I hate the Garmin; its totally inaccurate and the software is buggy... will probably get another Ultimate soon, it was an awesome watch for my needs. My Ultimate got 4 days max with my use... I have no need to a week or more.
