Hi @sabazia8316, There is no maximum word count in Writing Task 2, and no penalisation for a longer response. So make sure you write AT LEAST 250 words and that all your information is relevant to the question. :)

Great efforts, so much satisfied with the channel in my preparation. Secondly, Annotated Band 9 Sample Essay has a word count of 445 words while prompt asks to write minimum 250 words. How many words maximum we can go for in an essay, pls advise?

Hi @rehanaltaf2360, We have provided a longer sample answer so that we could demonstrate addressing all of the Band 9 criteria. There is no maximum word count in Writing Task 2, and no penalisation for a longer response. However, this doesn't mean that you should aim to write as long a response as possible. The longer your response, the more chance there could be that you include grammar mistakes, repeat information or start to include irrelevant information, and the less time you will have to check your work. So make sure you write AT LEAST 250 words and that all your information is relevant to the question.
