I guess Peterson decided to forgo child development classes throughout his whole time in universities. They are called “the terrible twos” for a reason, Jordan. Among other things children begin to develop self awareness around that time and part of that developing self awareness is “mis-behaving”. I would also add that stuff like this with kids is part of socialization. Something else Peterson should be aware of. I didn’t read his book so I have no idea what point, if any beyond Peterson’s own ego, this story serves. The language used and the tone that was used to express what he wrote seems very, very off though imho.
