Not love related, PINK VENOM is an empowerment song. BLACKPINK is known for their confidence and calling out their haters, and PINK VENOM is no different. PINK VENOM refers to the attraction that a listener succumbs to when experiencing their music. Their sound goes "straight to your dome" and you are powerless to resist, like a "lovely poison". These are more vocal based songs, but generally, blackpink make very upbeat hip hop inspired songs with badass lyrics.

They have a "pink" side that represents the emotional, girly side of them as portrayed here in the song "Lovesick Girls", which btw is definitely one of their more deeply layered songs, which you picked up on as it being a juxtaposition of a very happy, upbeat sound paired with some pretty dark lyrics. Even the video itself is very juxtaposed in this way pairing scenes of (likely) death and happiness together. Then they also have their "black" side which represents their empowered bad bitch, IDGAF attitude which you hit upon with "Pink Venom" which is actually a song that flexes on their haters and everyone in general saying that despite how you might feel about them, their songs, and the girls themselves can't help but infect your mind like venom. So anyway, great job on the reaction, looking forward to seeing more from you reacting to Blackpink, especially some of their more "famous" songs, both of these were in their middling view range, though to be fair "Pink Venom" is one of their newest videos, but both videos are nowhere near the view count of some of their other songs that have over a billion (over 2 billion in one case) RU-vid views. BLACKPINK is the biggest girl group of all time, with 304 musical awards, it is the most awarded girl group in all history and this past July 4, 2023 they were the main artists at the HYDE PARK festival in London with 65k tickets sold (sold out), being the first kpop act to headline the festival in all of history, the amazing thing is that they only have 38 songs and 7 years of music career.

But after the Korean Health and Medical Workers Union claimed the content sexualized nurses and didn't show the profession in a good light the scene was later deleted by YGE. However, the fact opened a heated discussion because it still seemed that there was a double standard and unfair treatment towards Jennie.This because in other previous kpop M/Vs nurse's clothes were used, in one in particular taken as an example the content actually sexualized the nurse. But in that case the M/V remained as it was!

The story is that in Lovesick girls 1:42 Jennie died in the car crash and 2:01 Lisa committed suicide by jumping off the building and 4:37 Rosé drown herself in the water that are filled with the black paints and 2:08 Jisoo is holding a sand timer represent the soul of the four girls And in the Pink Venom 6:42 Jisoo bring them back, that why you can see the black paint with rosé in it Just a theory 😅

You picked up on the theme of LSG very quickly - maybe the fastest of any reactors. 👍😎 Yes, K-Pop, especially BP, do tend to take influences from different countries and cultures. Don't know if you realised it, but BTS, which you first checked out, is THE biggest group on the planet, and Blackpink are the biggest girl group, and second only to BTS for the biggest - that's not just K-Pop, that's of ALL groups, of all genres. Currently BP are, IIRC, 11th of ALL YT channels, globally, and the most popular group on YT by a large amount - almost 90 million subscribers. If you want a change from K-Pop, may i suggest J-Rock, more specifically BAND MAID (AKA BANDMAID) - pick anything, you shouldn't be disappointed, but many prefer the 'live' versions because they really feed of the audience reactions.
