For $7 you can buy a refill of the rubber in the wipers. Pop the end caps off, slide out the rubber, cut a retaining notch in the rubber and slide in the new ones. 10 minute task.

Coincidentally, I've had to replace the rear wiper blade on my Disco Sport today. Luckily a Bosch replacement for £6.86p from Halfords did the trick!

Simon I did recently try to source a blade for my 2020 110 X and ran into the same issue. I just changed the fronts and left the rear. Now I know why ! Thanks. Also how dumb of JLR....

Not making the old version blade available is a bit cheeky of JLR to say the least. However, the new design looks much better. In my experience the performance of the original washer has always been a bit rubbish. Also, one of my jets became clogged and I found it impossible to get at to clean without removing the spare wheel. Brilliant design, eh? Handy tip: if you stand close to the rear when testing the jets (with an assistant operating the washer switch) you get very wet feet from the rear camera washer. 🤣

Simon…that new blade with built in water spray is much like the Mercedes original on my SL…you cannot buy any aftermarket blade and a new one was £100 but that was three years ago! The older design Defender blade does look a bit amateurish in engineering terms so guess someone was given the job of improving it but kept the complexity! I see the rear wiper on the L494 disappears under the spoiler so that looks like fun to be enjoyed one day! Maybe you have a video on that somewhere..I shall have to look and rehearse! 😀😀😀😀Richard

I haven’t used my rear wiper in months. The blade came off one day and has never been the same. It scratches my rear glass.

I have a defender that’s a year old and my rear wiper blade needs replacing, do I actually have to take the spare tire Off just to do this?! 😭

Does seem from I've found that both Bosch and Valeo have that clip on them so maybe it is a dealer only part although Auto Doc do seem the sell a possible replacement like the one you took off originally with a Denso make. DF320 EAN 8717613172780
