My 65" C2 updated this morning to v04.40.91. How about you?

I had my RU-vid TV screen picture leach into my Disney+ App. Was trying to watch Daredevil and was showing a flickering screen of MSNBC with Daredevil sound in background. Switched to Netflix and no problem. Switched back to Disney and still had RU-vid TV picture from MSNBC. Had to unplug TV to fix it. Really weird.

Forgot to add using BT to connect my LG SP7R as ARC no longer works-going back for repair-so no BT connection either.

I'm having the same issue with my LG C1 65in. I'm not able to manually update the frameware from the USB port. I'm getting the same file explorer message, I'm having numerous problems on my TV since my latest firmware 03.40.87 update my TV is not running Google services correctly. Once I'm watching RU-vid or RU-vid TV after 10-15 minutes the apps will freeze then crash. All my other apps works correctly.

When turned on my 55” G2 PUA today (2-20 ) got a notice than an important software update was available did I want to install it? I said Yes & it installed. After turning TV back on I could not access settings shortcut holding gear button for a long press to bring up Picture, Sound General, Support. Home button wouldn’t bring up Apps. I called LG & customer support agent asked to do unplug the TV but can’t reach power cord so was told to turn off TV & try settings long press again. Same thing. I finally turned off my TripLite surge protector to kill the power & held power button on TV 30 secs & left surge protector off 29-30 mins to do hard reset & voila TV back on & functioning as before! Not sure if update eas the cause but just letting you know of my experience. Thanks & great vid. Where did you get the videos? Thanks!

Here its the same. I upgraded manually to 04.40.90 and now the 04.40.91 firmware do not detect.

*update to my COLOR and Bluetooth problems on 55" G2* COLOR: I'm in contact with LG. I started getting WASHED OUT and just "off" (i.e. faces greenish or whatever) colors after 04.40.90 a few weeks ago. The TV looks especially bad in darker scenes. It started two days AFTER 04.40.90 but oddly not immediately after so that may be a coincidence... 04.40.91 didn't fix it. So I suspect it's NOT a firmware issue, so it may be safe to update to 04.40.91. I can't "fix" it with basic calibration though I can improve things... LG so far has been GREAT and has me sending pictures to see what the problem is though I suspect they'll just direct me back to Best Buy to handle any problems as I was TWO WEEKS past Warranty (of course). BLUETOOTH: I couldn't connect to Bluetooth after updating to 04.40.91 until I unplugged my "BluME" wi-fi receiver. I turned it OFF and ON but it still wasn't detected. Only UNPLUGGING it allowed my TV to recognize it for some reason. STUTTER: Not a "problem" but just for anybody reading this, after a lot of experimentation I just go with a user setting of "4" out of ten for "De-Judder" which for me seems to be the best compromise between too much stutter/judder and it being too smooth. (I do crank the smoothness up for some ANIME that still stutters a lot. I'm guessing if the anime is 30FPS but only updates the images at, say, 15FPS as cartoons/anime will do to save money then that's why it judders more?)

Forgot to sound bar would not connect & couldn’t go to settings so had no sound from the TV either! But all is fine now.

My C2 is updated to .91 - but where can I find what the actual updates are? I saw a message saying "Google is now available"...but what does that even mean?

Service menu question Just checking the service menu after the new firmware and I see the #12 OLED menu still has the options to enable TPC and GSR however I see in menu #4 new settings called Dimming ON. Question: if you disable TPC and GSR does the Dimming in #4 menu override the settings? Also when I turn the dimming OFF and restart the TV the dimming is turned back ON. Any reason why?

Do not update. Break ARC on my C2. Very annoying!! Cannot get sound properly to my receiver via ARC.

*The PDF at the site explains how to install it, unless I misunderstood something. There seems to be a NEW guide with the same name but different date. I believe you EXTRACT the file, create a folder called "LG_DTV", put the file in that and THEN the TV will detect it once you insert the USB stick. (on a side note, my G2 55" colors are all WRONG shortly after installing 04.40.90. About two days after the colors looked washed out a bit and dull. But not immediately after which is strange. Faces were slightly greenish/orange etc. It depended on the scene. Darker scenes are sometimes so dark they're unwatchable (deep blacks. Yay!) Anyway, I'm about to install 04.40.91 so I'll post back if possible.)

*I contacted LG... I'll post back if they reply. (also, I just realized the update procedure NEVER CHANGED. I should have looked at the older update manual before posting before. This was my first USB update and somehow I thought they must have changed the procedure)

Did u have any problems with 04.40.90?I don't mean with the updating. I still did not update that yet.

Can you manually downgrade the software?

lg started freaking out for some reason, thats why i blocked update servers on router and stay on 03.33.90 which works fine

Too scared to update it, the updates always screw something up.
