Been gaming on my older b model, had no issues at all had to have 120hz and g sync, loved it so much just bought a 65 b3 on discount, friend has a c3 and couldn’t notice a difference, im sure there is but I couldn’t physically tell

As someone who owns multiple HDMI 2.1 devices, I'd spend the extra money on the C series. Better processor, 4x HDMI 2.1 ports, and it has a brighter panel.

I bought a 65” C2 in December for $1250 which I couldn’t pass on. I never pay retail for a tv and wait until Black Friday or Christmas sales.

I would consider the G3 OLED on Black Friday, but since I've already got a 48" C2 OLED which is my main display for gaming, TV and movie watching in my tiny living room. My main project for this year is redoing my living room with a full surround system for both movies and gaming.

What you said about size of TV, always go for biggest. I'm 7ft away from TV but do 4k gaming and sub 1080p gaming on my switch so upscaling is important. Is it better to go with a 65" c2/g2 or a 55" A95k? What would you do based on content I watch and distance I'm sat

Had 2 B models. The first one a B7 eventually had a little burn in and was quick with image retention. The BX, ‘20, had no issues at all. Dont see enough difference in the B and C if you’re not a gamer. Unless you go all the way to G, the B is an amazing tv.

I feel the main reason to wait for the C3 and G3 is they will be able to support DTS audio. DTS audio actually is a higher bitrate than Dolby Atmos. Half my Blu-ray collection uses DTS audio. Believe me, DTS makes a huge difference on movies that are not Dolby Atmos. However, if you are a gamer and don't care that much about superior sound, then the C2 is a great buy and you can still listen to movies in Dolby Atmos. More Hollywood studios are starting to use DTS and DTS:X audio.

Have been watching videos for weeks going into countless stores asking opinions etc and finally decided to go with the 65 inch B3 today. i got it for £2k from the original £2699 price. Could have got the C2 for £1600 elsewhere but i got 24 months interest free plus the big discount. Both great tvs

The B series often gets overlooked. It's basically the same as the C series except without the new processor, but the average consumer wouldn't notice the difference even when they're side-by-side. I can't speak for this year's models as I've not seen them yet, but previous models since 2019 have been that way.

Nice video, for me between C2 or G2 specially if the price not a big different i go for G2 maybe bcuz of heatsink atleast a less risk more of burn in when u turn up the brightness, although i never experienced any burn in on my CX that 3 years old still works as new.

I have a B13 model, one of my friends has a C1 and my other friend has a C2. Those 2 are completely identical. No difference at all in picture, processing, etc. My B1 has the exact same panel, so the picture is the same. However, it has slower processor so menus are slower and the games (yes, LG TVs has native games on em) run too slow (below 30 fps). All streaming service run perfectly. The A series has a 60hz panel, i wouldnt bother buying that. I dont know about its picture quality but it isnt better than B or C series thats for sure. The G series has the newest panel, with MUCH more brightness. B and C 120hz panels can do 800 nit overall (at full screen) while G series can do DOUBLE. Unfortunately, their price is more than double, too. So my recommendation is: if u often watch your TV in bright environment like daytime in a room without curtains, buy the G series. Otherwise buy the C or the B, depends on their price (if not much difference, buy the C if u can get a B for a budget price buy that one instead). There is NO picture difference between 2021-22-23 B or C models! Same panel, same picture processing (just slower or faster menus). Thats why the G series cost so much more. Coz it has better picture quality (only much more brightness but that can be a huge difference especially in HDR).

Excellent review! I have a LG 55 C2 in my bedroom and I absolutely love it. I want to upgrade my living room TV. Currently a Sony XBR 4K 65 that’s about 5 years old. I find that sports like basketball look a little fuzzy because of all the fast movement. I want to increase the size to probably 77. My distance is from the screen is about 11ft. Based on your video I will either go with the C2 77 or the G3 77. Is the G3 for sports worth the difference in price in your opinion?

When you look at G3 vs S95C can you look into how they do upscaling RU-vid TV? It would be good to see how the upscale processing does compared to each other.

Excited for the eventual G3 vs S95C cage match. Since they are basically the same price at launch across sizes, those results could really sway and influence a lot of people’s purchasing decisions this year. Hopefully the Sony tax doesn’t eliminate the A95L as a 3rd option.

I've seen the B3, C2 and G2 side-by-side yesterday and imo the B3 mogs all of them out the hallway... Don't know if I got duped by the LG promo vid but holy **** does it look good on the B3.

Get a C1 or B1 - it's not much different to the C3 or B3 (a little less bright, but fine if you're watching in darker rooms) and is an excellent panel. If you can find one, you should get a really good price. I'm surprised you didn't cover C1 as an option when your title says "older model", as if you were comparing more than the current and last generation.

Wow, you did a great job with the comparisons. I’ve had LG Oleds from there beginnings 10 years ago. This year I decided to treat myself and retire the 77 C9 and get myself the 77 G3 and I just can’t get over the amount of brightness that comes out of that TV. I actually had to turn it down because my eyes were starting to bother me. I was never a fan of overly bright TVs. That’s why in my bedroom, I always get the Sony Oleds. For all of the people out there wondering about the Samsung they are just getting into the Oled market. I would stick with LG or Sony.

Does the image processing benefit older stuff such as Playstation 1, PS2, Laserdisc, and VHS or would it be hard to really even notice a significant difference in quality?

I’m not a latest and greatest type. Just recently I bought a 48” A2 for my bedroom. Perfect for that situation and I don’t game fwiw. In my living room I bought a QNED85 mini and I have been very pleased. If I hadn’t bought that a B series would be fine for in there.

Bro i bought an lg 48 a2 for 650 on black friday. It was such a good deal. It aint that bad if you want the contrast an oled provides but without dropping over a grand on a tv.

I'm thinking... 83" no MLA G3 vs 83" G2. I don't know what the difference will be. But if TSP and GSR are unmodifiable on the G3... or if the 83" G3 has unmodifiable autodimming in general, I'll get the 83" G2 instead. I can't think of any other better 83"+ product because QD-OLED doesn't have 83"+ sizes.

Any thoughts on the B2 vs Samsungs QN90B? I know they are different displays but the 77 B2 and 75 QN90B are the same price in Canada. I’ve seen a C2 and love the picture. Will be primarily gaming in a dark room with little natural light. 2 HDMI 2.1 ports is enough for me. Is there a benefit of one tv over the other? Or is it better to go with the QN90B if the C2 is out of my price range?

Just wish the g3 oled would come with a stand, not a fan of wall mounting. But not keen on spending £100 for a stand either

Just got the 55" C3 for €1,080 in 30x €36 installments with no interest. Deal. I'm impressed with this TV, coming from a 12 years old Samsung 48" LCD. No more clouding, blooming, greyish blacks. Should have gone with OLED earlier.

Hi, so i bought my first oled but now im thinking of returning it and getting something different, i do lovenit tho its the sony bravia a75l 65" i got it for 1499 but now they have the lg C2 open box fair condition for 849! Also samsung 65" s90C excellent condition for 1360! I so new to this so any help would be great i believe they all have at least year warranty and i can purchase additional as well. Theres the samsung 77" for 2000 as well if you wouldn't mind giving your thoughts that would be so great thanks

Since the 83 G3 doesn’t have MLA is the G2 83 a better buy?

Only downside to B2 and B3 is the fact they have only 2 HDMI 2.1 ports. Since one of them is the eARC port, you effectively have one 2.1 port. I'm hoping to grab a C2 for a decent price after the C3 comes out

I manage to get a G2 65" for about 2 000 dollars here in Sweden. Do you guys think it is worth to keep the G2 due to the discount? What is the chances that LG will discount the G3 at the start, or at least in the first months? My budget is around 2,5k and I really want the G series due to the design.

I just ordered the B3 from Costco today for $1,299. The C3 is $1,599. It arrives in a few days. I don't do much gaming and brightness won't be an issue so o think the B3 should be fine. Costco will price match for 30 days so I'll be covered if their's a price drop on Black Friday and they have a 90 day return policy.

After some opinion checking, I found the more passionate fans would rather get a C2 than a B3. The C2 is brighter and has faster menus. Disney uses C2 screens for colour grading. That's literally all I need to know, and currently they're also cheaper than the B3.
