I had the same weird realization the other day. I remember watching Felix playing ao oni and stuff. There are probably a bunch of us that have grown up alongside this channel. It just puts a smile on my face that so many of us are still here.

i havent watched pewdiepie in years yet today i stumbled unto these new vlogs. I still remember when the 1 million subs video released. ive grown up with this man and its beautiful to see and feel his progress in such a masculine way.

Not so; you can buy bikes, but If you buy expensive bikes here, especially the electric assist ones, then for INSURANCE PURPOSES, you register them in case they are stolen. Our first two higher end e-bikes we bought 12 years ago still run like new (replaced batteries) and the ones for our children are even better. In the UK I bought around 12 bicycles, over 12 years and every last one of them vanished while the cops laughed.

@Grapes Kinte i think we are thinking about different things. when i say "do well", i mean doing well at generally integrating into the culture, not a financial/emotional "do well". (and yes, unfortunately without being/looking japanese, you will never fully integrate, but that's a different topic). there are a lot of people (who are fine, great people) who don't "do well" in japan just because the culture clashes with their personality. i've witnessed it. does being rich make their life easier than most lives. sure. does being rich necessitate that they will integrate and be accepted/liked by the average japanese citizen? of course not. i am not rich and am living/working in Japan. you don't need to be rich to get a visa to be here (when covid restrictions aren't in effect). i've "done well" here because i can, generally, get along with people and not come across as overly aggressive. and i think that, in these vlogs, both felix and marzia have demonstrated an easygoing, non-confrontational demeanor, which is an attitude that works well in japan. that's all i was saying in my original comment.

As much as I am a fan of Felix and have supported him for years, I can't agree with you. As a Japanese, I don't think he will stay here longer than a few years at most. It's not a country suited for everyone. I think he's living in a honeymoon period at the moment. It won't last.
