God I hope they add a detailed cockpit to the modern Mi-8. Seen photos of it's interior and it looks amazing, always been looking forward to an MFD Mi-8.
I don’t play Britain but I remember the Super Hind in Battlefield Bad Company 2 (for some reasons the Russians were using a South African hind in that game.) might get it just for the memories.
some pretty cool squadron vehicles being added. i am currently researching the YAH-64 to bolster my 11.7 lineup but once that's done i am definitely doing to have to think about that i should start investing in next. I was originally going to unlock the Swiss Hunter, but looking back on that i realize that i don't really have enough vehicles to build a proper lineup around it considering the only vehicle i have that is in it's BR range is the Leo 2AV. But now that the Super Hind is being added i am kind of more inclined to go for that first. For starters i actually have a proper lineup i can use it in since my highest TT vehicle is 10.0 and i hoped onto the dev server to test the super hind and while it isn't as maneuverable as the American helis i am used to it was still a lot of fun to fly.
I mean, this Mi-8AMTSh-VN version is the latest Mi-8 variant ever made. It supposedly entered service in 2021. I never heard of a LMUR-capable Mi-8. As far as I know, only the Ka-52M and Mi-28NM are capable of firing these
Not only LMUR also the 9M127-1 Ataka-VM, both of them should be available for the Mi-28NM but arent for some reason, but they already added the Krizanthema-VM. The Ka-52M should also get all these once added.
I was taught long time ago to not use the word "Very" often which really made me wonder "Why does it matter?" With this video now i know why XD Btw Superhind's cockpit is a just a placeholder taken from mi35's cockpit. RL Superhind cockpit is more modern than it
Its definitely not to fast of a missile (ZT3A2 on the superhind) to point out that everything russian has double the speed... so personally i would say the 9.7 hinds are a little better to defend itself than the South african hind, the main reason mi24p gets R60m 4x and Shturm which are double the speed near enough going 550m/s a comparrison of speeds to explain; name of the missiles then m/s vikhr (Tandem+Beamriding) - 600m/s Shturm - 550 m/s (SACLOS) Ataka - 550 m/s (Tandem+Beamriding) Hellfire - 475 m/s (Tandem+Laser+IOG) Krizantema - 400m/s (Tandem+Beamriding) AKD- 9 - 360 m/s (Tandem+Laser+IOG) ZT3A2 - 342 m/s HOT 2/3 - 250 m/s As you can see it is pretty low compared to most general ATGMS fired, but they have a benefit of being Tandem and beam riding so they will go streaight to the target and not loft like hellfires or Spikes. So i would say it is probably balanced where it is the fact you get thermals but you lack the ir missile to defend against planes etc. as would the super hind not get mistrals?? then i think it would help out alot.
Hey Mat, there are screenshots of the Su-34 in the files with the Khibini ECM pod. Maybe you could do a video about the implementation of ECM and which options the different countries have. And would be cool if you could create a discord again so we could send you this stuff.
Because its a south african redesign for Algeria and ukraine and Azerbaijan. Hence the ingwes. Alternatively it is also fitted with Ukrainian baryer missiles
So, the Mi 8 AMTSH VN 11.0: Long zoom, HD thermals, 6KM range, AAMs, MAWS, x3 pylons, heavy, large, can't maneuver Mi 28 N 11.0: Long zoom, HD thermals, 6KM range, AAMs, no MAWS, x2 pylons, light, small, maneuverable Mi 35 1.07: Long zoom, HD thermals, 6KM range, AAMs, MAWS, x3 pylons, large, semi maneuverable. Why it is 11.0 is beyond me. Oh, wait, no it isn't - it's because they refuse to adjust helicopter battle ratings which is needed much more than tanks needed it, they should be raised to parity with jets, and gaijin refuse to do this, so here we are.
They do though but gaijin doesn't like to add it for some reason. Stuff like the thermal targeting pods for the su25t/su39 exist. You also have french made thermal targeting pods that could be attached to a bunch of russian planes but gaijin again says no.
