They should have just improved the stove/heater one they have. Its pretty good. Have one that heats or cooks without 2 different pieces you have to connect together ???
Can you connect it to a main propane tank source, like a trailer mount propane tank so that we can avoid buying the small propane canisters? Even if adapters need to be bought to achieve what I am asking.
Love buddy heaters .but thing is stupid. That 360 catalyst gas burn area should remain directional. Now you have more of a hazard of heating surfaces left or right of the stove in a small area..
Please help me! I bought this exact heater today. I was trying to start (ignite) the heater as I saw in your video. Okay...I hold the orange knob down for 30 seconds, press the starter button (clicking,) and the heater started coming on WHILE I WAS HOLDING THE KNOB DOWN! When I let go of the knob, the heater shut-down. Something's wrong! Too, does the knob, on the heater side, only turn from, say, a 10 o'clock setting to OFF? When I turn the knob to the left, it only turns to the print of "LOW." The knob WILL NOT turn any farther that 10 o'clock, as if the knob were a clock. Too, the accessory side only turns to 2 o'clock. Is this correct for the Mr. Heater BuddyFlex Propane Heater? Will you be as kind as to tell me, step-by-step, how to start this heater...PLEASE? THANK YOU!!!
I know these guys are here to push product but not one review I’ve seen talks about the fact that if you are using the cooker, the heater doesn’t operate. If you’re fishing Lake Winnipeg in January not having heat while you cook for 10-15 minutes could be a problem. Would be nice if the heater could run on low while you cook.
The cooker would be your best, but I'd agree it's a poor design! I wouldn't want one of these and I'll stick to flipping the grate on my mr heater buddy or bringing a grill with me when I want to cook.
just put a splitter on your tank then you can have your regular buddy heater and a propane stove of your choice they make many different kinds..i dont know why everybody thinks this is so great..its needs batteries and you cant run both together

i thought the same thing, and this igniter requires a battery , the original piezo igniter has been around forever and works great today , no battery, the best way to run two devices is to put a splitter on your tank so they can run independent of each other.
Honestly, why are you dragging that giant unit into the field if you don't need the heater to be working when you are cooking? If all I need is 1 burner to cook and no heater then I'm not using that massive unit.
I know, I felt exactly the same, how odd that is... maybe it's for keeping the gas flowing heating the security sensor...idk, anyway, that's a very stupid design.
@@fishlovme you can run both at the same time if you want to, you just don’t have to run the heater if you don’t want to. I get it about the pilot light part, it must be a safety factor of some kind. Not a deal breaker, I own the set. Bummer is you aren’t supposed to use the burner in doors, just the heater!
This product sucks.. this thing shuts off every time you move the table or even try to move it. It's really sensitive.. and to try to turn it on its a nightmare
i love buddy heaters but this thing is 100% junk ! why are the knobs on the back side? cant run both at the same time...igniter needs batteries....that hose is way to short...1 lb. bottle is not enough for two devices...
Only someone that doesn't understand how thermal dynamics works would make a stupid remark, such as why they are 100% junk because the knobs aren't all where the hottest air of the unit escapes🤡 also where you gonna put the gas valve which this design if the knobs are in the front 🤔 😉 🙄
Gosh thank you, thank you so much for an instructional video where your hands are hidden, and you don't even show how you're turning it on or where you put the battery. Worthless
Can't cook and have heat at same time 🙄 why pay so much for this with no thermostat 🤔 why is hose so short for cooker 🤔 batteries die in freezing cold ele start 🤔 and costs more than a buddy and a cooker just for the flex heater add the stove and you can have 2 buddies and a stove 🤔 eats more gas and can't be set as low 🤔 wow sounds like a great deal 😂😂😂😂😂 I will pass on this one. A fool and his money soon parted 😆 but I do own 2 big and 2 little and want more of those style
The buddy heaters are the best and any one in a cold area should have 2 for power outages or if heaters fail or camping . The buddy heaters have saved my family from freezing at home several times. Get the hose for 20 lbs tanks and spare tanks. When the power out your on your own. So i'me not a hater this heater the flex makes no sense and it's catilest I have had nothing but problems with that style . My buddies have been with me some for 4 yrs no issues how much do I use them every winter day on 4 thousand btu I get 3.5 days on 20 pound tank. 2 for home 2 for work no heat houses fixing them up
The knob looks cheap as usual on these devices...you had pulled it off in the video slick and put it back on......I would be hesitant buying this product
Terrible design. Huge and clunky. Controls on the backside of the heater seems ridiculous and potentially dangerous. All their enginerds should be fired.
