That was a lot of work putting the floor down ... you two pros know just how to tweek it just so ! That finish is durable & you know it holds up . Love the Keens -- my favorite sandal & clog boot ( sturdy & safe ) (Sidebar : I've seen other Influencers having issues w/ their expensive ranges-- makes you wonder who's checking the quality control !)
I love my Keen boots. I've wanted to try them for years, this is my first pair. I would be so sad if I spent thousands of dollars on a nice range and it didn't cook great.
The floors look amazing! I love how you included the kids with installing the floors! They thought they were having fun (which they were) but they were learning skills along the way!
Beautiful floor! I love how you can feel the love thru Jami’s eyes when she looks at Zeb! I hope i will find that special someone someday 🤗 Oh and i think you should do like barn doors on the fridge
You guys always have such a positive attitude!! ❤ I love the floors & bet it just feels better inside. We owned a house that was over 100 years old and like yours,it didn't have a sub floor. That new flooring will make a huge difference in it feeling just sturdy! You know what I mean I bet! And how cool that the kids helped install some. They'll always remember that. And Jack's tic tac toe is a cute memory when he's older! My mom used a pencil & drew on a clock face when she was about Jack's age when he did the carving. We just love seeing where she drew now..my sister got to keep the clock.
Our home is very old also and the doors were trimmed for carpet. We took out the carpet to uncover the hardwood floors and then put those winter weather for underneath the doors to fill in the gaps perfectly. Oh Zeb use carpenter pencils lol
Looks amazing!! I learn so much from you both!! I would love to redo a home someday! Is Zeb for rent...lol! Jami you too!! A special couple who could tackle any project together!! You both put Love & Sweat into all you do. 🅰️➕👏❤
@@jamiandzeb In my opinion they should just grant him a license with all the projects he's done! I betcha he'd a have a few things to teach the teachers!!🧐
Happy Birthday Zeb!! Magnets will cover those dents very well. And they aren’t that apparent when looking, although I’m sure they are to you since you know they’re there.
Jami I also use Crisco for my pie crusts. There is also a trick I stumbled across several years ago in making pie dough. Make your pie crust he day/ night before, wrap each individual dough in wax paper, and put in fridge. If you don’t make it the day before, just wrap it put in the fridge for 30 minutes or so. Your pie crusts turned out really nice.
The floors look great, how blessed you two are to be able to build a house and do all that you do just so crafty I wish me and my husband were that good we can do a lot of stuff we've owned 15 houses in the past so we can do a lot of home improvement but you guys take the cake Love you guys Happy holidays
Congrats on finishing the floor! We salvaged most of the flooring for our house ourselves out of old houses, so they were pretty rough. When the guys filled the gaps in our floors, they used a black filler, I really liked the way it turned out.
I used to have 2.2 acres. My dream was to do my floors in seconds. Everyone thought I was nuts so I didn’t do it. I was quite proud of myself when Zeb used the floor piece under the door with a pencil because that’s what I thought was the answer. Big I wouldn’t have put the board at the edge of the door and swung it open. LOL!
Zeb, I know I'm late, but check into Brunt work boots. My husband has a wide feet and they have been the absolute best boot he's gotten. He works construction so needs a good and durable boot. Tons of different styles as well
Zeb, mold leather boots to conform to your feet by putting a generous amount of alcohol inside the leather And put your feet in the boots and wear them. Take them off later on, and let them dry. They should feel more comfortable and a natural fit.
I am in LOVE with your new floors!!!! I also love your living room furniture! What can you tell us about it? I really enjoy your videos & Thank You so much for sharing your amazing talent with us. 🥰😍
We actually carry these couches on our website but since covid they've been hard to get in a timely manner. They've held up as well as expected with dogs and a large family. They're due for a wash.
I would be concerned about the durability of the floors. We have had hardwood floors refinished and it is multiple sandings and multiple coats of sealer. I wouldn’t think one coat of any sealer would be enough. I would think the greying is from not being sealed properly. Just my opinion, for what it matters.
For sure, the very nature of the utility oak is a little rustic but the oil wax does good work. They’re very sealed and the oil wax cured hard like a resin in 30 days.
congrats on the floors! about the oven....was the bottom oven on when you baked in the top one? I've found that stacked ovens heat the top oven unevenly when both are on since some of the heat from the bottom one is rising up.
Is it unusual that the wood planks are so short? My wood floors are long planks. Wondering if that is a money saver for you or s special look you are going for?
I'd be afraid of letting my kids using a tool like that , lol , it's not about the tool , it's the bare feet,,, lol, oh man I could never use tools like that in bare feet when I was younger , wow,,, nice floor love it , ,
