Hi! We're Jami and Zeb Ray and we're really passionate about knowing where our food comes from. We try to eat as clean as we can, we're not perfect at it but we love to grow a big garden, preserve food, raise chickens and we've recently added a family milk cow, Buttercup, to the fold. We have 3/4 of an acre in Lehi, Utah and we're loving this micro urban homestead adventure in the high dessert. Follow along as we share this journey with you.
Fun! I have been following the JRVintage channel for years, first time watching the Jami & Zeb channel. I love gardening and working on my own home, enjoying the bead board going up in the cottage.
That price is not right. Take your time and keep your eyes on fb market place or Craigslist ppl sell these for 200 bucks all the time in good condition because they just don't want it anymore. This way you have the time to think it over and be 100% sure it's something you wanna do and if you do it, you regret it and then want it gone your not out a whole bunch of money and suddenly have 15 chickens you don't want no more. Take your time have faith and budget ppl.
That was so enjoyable to watch. Wish I had a partner to work alongside with. Jami, would it be possible to get your bread recipe. It looked delicious! ❤
Hi guys, have you heard of " the Mill"? I composts all kitchen waste including meat and when its done you have compost and chicken food? They even will buy the food from you. I thought of your family instantly. Love your work ethic and family!!
I realized that I hadn't finished this video! So glad I came back to it. I love this channel & all the different projects! ❤ The strawberries already look amazing! My fig tree also took longer to leaf out this year,Zeb. I was concerned for awhile because it usually doesn't take this long! It's great now..I think you guys had a longer wait with the cold snap. Thanks for the updates on everything!! Love the garden area💚🌿
I discovered that if you check daily you can hoe the weeds out when they are tiny. It takes less time than waiting until they are bigger and you have to pull them. Of course I like to spend my time outside puttering in the yard!
35:03 Mullein? It looks like it--on its side with the oblong leaves? If the leaves form a rosette and are "hairy" it might be mullein. Good medicinal herb!
Love both your work ethic. Great family values. Jack is definitely your sidekick. Great that he has a dad that is teaching him how to work the land. So many boys are in need of fatherly leadership today.
Just a little FYI if you happen to get any aphids on your plants in the beds outside put banana peels it will keep the aphids away also if you get ants stick some cinnamon sticks throughout your beds and it will get rid of the ants, happy gardening, I loved your video
