New Orleans is one in a million. I went there on vacation, got totally wasted on Bourbon Street, and ended up somewhere I shouldn't have been. You can't always jump to conclusions though. A car full of black people saw us, pulled up, and told us they'd give us a ride, because we were in a dangerous part of town. They drove us to our hotel, and didn't ask for shit. Of course, I kicked them some money for gas, but they never asked. They legit were looking out, because they new we were in danger, walking drunk, in the area we were in. That was honestly the best lookout I've probably ever gotten in my life. Just because people live in a bad area, it doesn't make them bad people.
Fortunately for me, that didn't happen, but it sounds like you've experienced this injustice first hand. That truly is a heinous crime that was committed against you. You have my deepest sympathy and condolences. I'm sure you've been very brave until now, but everyone has their breaking point. That being said, there is no need to project your experience on to the rest of society. I know it makes you feel powerful and in control, but to the rest of us, you just look weak and small. I know that you're angry and ashamed of the way your body responded, and you now battle feelings and urges that both disgust and excite you. It's not your fault, and it doesn't make you less of a man. You didn't ask for this to happen, you're a victim. Hostility and deflection aren't going to solve your confusing feelings though. I'd be more than happy to send you the number for a 24 hour crisis hotline. My hope is that after speaking with trained counselors, and working through some of those pent up feelings of rage and self loathing, you may set forth on your path to recovery. Don't let what happened to you, define you. Judging by your post, you're obviously a really classy guy, so don't worry, nobody thinks less of you than we already did. I do hope you keep us updated on your progress. Best wishes on all of your future endeavors!
I’ve been all over the country riding through hoods and in my opinion , there is no place like New Orleans man. It’s like another country within a country. Florida is another one that’s totally unique.
Jay McNally true on both accounts bruh, I live in New Orleans and as a yung’n I used to wild out in the Fort Walton and Navarre area it is different indeed👍
I was living in the 9th Ward when Katrina hit and working at 859 Convention Center Blvd (Marriott Hotel) where I stayed until finally evacuating the city when the national guard arrived. I left NOLA for good in 2006. Though I wish them folks all the best, videos like this one remind just how slow change happens for some parts of the city. For those of you who remember.... MINOR SET BACK FOR A MAJOR COME BACK, PROUD TO SWIM HOME.... God bless the people of New Orleans!
Charlie I live on a small island in the Bahamas and I don't travel much thanks for taking me around the USA to see how my people live.I love what your doing good bless and keep safe in 2018.
@@tony_anello no disrespect intended but that s*** doesn't make any sense what you said, he don't let anyone put him in the stereotype? I believe what you meant was he doesn't conform to the masses, that's basically how most black people come to the conclusion about Trump... Basically the one in the middle is in a follower...as far as being a stereotype we're all stereotype that's not something that we have control over..if you ask the average black person why don't they like Trump they'll say because he's a racist however they can't articulate what makes him a racist, Trump is no more racist today than he was 5 years ago 10 years ago..
I'm from New Orleans around that area where the boys was talking and it is really hard for real!! But you have to make the best out of what you have!!! And every body think New Orleans is bad it really not , every state has hoods , I love my city and wouldn't change it for the world!! If you can make it here you can make it anywhere believe that!!!
yeah i just wrote a novel of a comment basically sayin what u said in a few lines lol. but yea just dont go walkin to the projects or where ppl dont want you and youre good.
Yeh their ain't no nice people their tho . It's not really a tourist place any more too bad the guys a so violent and never ever on a friendly level all the guys do is talk about violence . Why ?? They say this is all these guys know only thing they was tought ?? Wow my parents didn't reach use to be violent . Love each other and help each other if we can though . But being violent ain't they answer or the key to a happy life . Going to visit I was scared to even talk to any body they look so rough .
Every place have it hard hoods or no hoods it's really means the way we are raised . It starts with in the homes as growing up . Kids learn and do what they are tought and how their raised in a house it what kids or people learn . Any body can be from any hood and still be a Coo person and care about others and be kind to others and make friends . Go to school and try and have a better life then growing up . ?? Being raised in a hood don't mean every body half to be violent couse your raised in the hood . People are violent couse they wanna be not couse they half to . ???
New Orleans is one of the most violent places to live and Detroit Chicago . New York . It's a shame . But I like to be safe and be around good people it's me and how I was raised . We don't do what every body else do y parents raised 7 boys 5 girls no one is violent . In school and jobs still young tho . But we was poor at a time and lived in bad areas or poor areas but we still was raised the rite was work for whatever want not take whatever want . God don't like ugly god see every thing . I chose to love all my brothers and sisters no matter who . I'm not judging any one understand this please . I'm just saying black communities need to stand together and make a change is we can . God bless
That looks like press park at 2:50. I left the 9th ward and would never go back to any part of New Orleans. There is hopelessness everywhere which is why the city is so violent. The job to people ratio has always been one of the worst in the country. You pretty much know you have to sell drugs to survive. The best thing to do is follow my example. Hustle but don't spend your money on material things. Save up enough to move. That's what I did. Bought a house elsewhere with drug money; got a regular job and now I'm 10 years away from retirement. I can't believe I made it out that dangerous city. You can too. When I bought my house I was like damn; I'm actually going to live.
Thats cuz in chicago-land, every night, every bloc gets shot up. around these lands we always are looking. I dropped my kids off at home to be put to bed after being out riding my bike with them and got shot at 15 minutes later by Vls. could of been my kids that got shot if I hadn't sent them in the house when I did. And being white makes me more of a target because I stand out
Shit I want to go to new Orleans and get100 po boy sandwiches shrimp hot sauce and all the outher awesome food new Orleans has to offer these guys don't know how good they have it down there
Wowww Charlie you’re everywhere . Am very happy I come across your Chanel tonight my actual first time , that’s probable my 4th video loll very interesting , scary sad all mix emotions . Thanks for taking your time travel to make videos and share .... amazing what you do , your Chanel is better than tv .
It's insane how dangerous these neighborhoods are, and yet there are literally dozens of people just standing around on each block. Simply amazing. Why in the world would you loiter in one of the most dangerous cities in America?
Been watching a heap of your videos, find them real interesting. One thing I've noticed is that even though they are bad or poor neighbourhoods, everyone still has nice cars? Are cars cheap over there? Cos in my country if you're in a bad neighbourhood the cars are usually pretty old and beat up, there isn't money to buy nice cars.
Congratulations CharlieBo313 on the 100K milestone! You never gave up and kept giving us quality videos from all over the country. May you hit 200K soon!
Can't believe how much racism there is. Just because people grew up differently than you don't mean you gotta make fun and say how stupid you think they are.
Yes but how do they do the statistics? By arrests made? Or by crimes committed? Because some statistics are made by "arrests". Because they will say, "crime has gone down this year because we had fewer arrests than last year". It's why it's important to know how they do those statistics. Fewer arrests may have been made, but crimes commited may have gone up.
C1RCL0N3 6 New Orleans has always had a much higher murder rate than Chicago, along with Detroit, Baltimore, and St. Louis. But New Orleans has the worst history of having the highest murder rate of any city in the country.
What about Chicago, Detroit, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Baltimore, Cleveland, St Louis, Newark, Camden, Milwaukee, Buffalo, Memphis, Jackson MS. Has it ever occurred to you that if someone tried something they might be the one to come out on the losing end ?
Cars ain't nothing but quick giveaways! Only fools pay sticker price for cars and borrow money from the bank for them! Most people in California use the equity off their homes to buy cars, and when you got cash you pay almost 50% less than a fool that gets a bank loan to buy a car!
*Bro i seen you do 1 interview, please make that your last. These interviews got so crazy, gangs will hate you for interviewing their opps... **#RIPZACKTV1**.*
R Mathis are you sure Zack was killed for interviewing oops? Pretty sure he gave everyone fair shine. I think he was killed over something we simply don’t know about 🤷🏾♂️ never know what petty shit he could have been on. Rip him tho
Grover Jackson I mean what’s there to understand??? They are lawyers , doctors and successful people that come out these same slums this guy interviews @? You can choose to be a street nigga or you can use your mind to get out of your environment and not become a product of it .
Bo can you put their socials in the description? I cant hear them between the background noise, them talking over each other and the fact that they're mumbling it's impossible to get the guys info
Talk to someone who speaks clearly. I watched hurricane Katrina 24/7 when it hit and the aftermath. I'm really interested in what's going on in the 9th ward and other parts of the city as well. I'm sure many are. I was totally disgusted how the city, state, US government not only sat by while people/children had no food & water(others dead on the street), but kept other Americans out who wanted to help their fellow citizens. I'll never forgive or forget.
I’m a white boy born and raised in New Orleans East in the 70’s and 89’s. Today it’s the Wild Wild West it’s rarely policed. It’s crazy but New Orleans is in my blood. Blood in Blood out. I do carry
test baker first off Austin has 100,000 people and had 66 murders last year. Statistically New Orleans, Detroit, st. Louis, and Baltimore are all much worse than Chicago. Why does ya'll keep saying the murders are only concentrated in certain areas in Chicago as if it's not the same anywhere else?!
test baker Austin's population is no less than 90,000. I'm sure you haven't been ALL through Austin. The neighborhood is over 7 square miles. As of right now Austin has 33 murders with a population of over 90,000 while Central city in uptown new Orleans has 12 murders with a population of only 12,000 and is only one square mile. Do the math! That's much more dangerous than Austin's
Just think, if these guys were educated. Our society would be a much better place. Stand up American , make our society great again. It will only happen with us making it. Instead of "mandatory" sentences , let's try "mandatory" education! #STNIC
That interview was truly Black Exploitation ...Judging from their looks those young men would have been very young children when Katrina hit NOLA..........Notice they had very little to say about Katrina.....There are also hard working good people living in some of those areas you rode thru.......
You double talking. First you said this video is black exploitation, then you said there are also hard working good people in some of these areas, as if you know they are not. No one talked about whether they were working or not so how do you know they don't ? That was prejudice and racism.
CharlieBo313 What positive aspects are you showing about New Orleans and its black people ?.....None .....Why? ...By the way Iam black ..New Orleans is MY hometown..There are many good hard-working people here......Many black folks died and many are still struggling to return to their homes after nearly13 years since Katrina...BoBo why don't you do a walk thru in the hood of NOLA ....it would make for a far better and more interesting video.... You seemed a bit frightened when those young men came into your space ...BoBo you sounded a bit shakey.....You aren't frightened of the hood are you ????? I guess you are... Thats why you ride thru......Like I said Black Exploitation for viewers/ $$$$$$$$$.......
