There is so much PT vinyl out there, you'll be filling holes for a while. There are a few I still need. Lightbulb Sun is a great record. Never get tired of it. In Absentia is a great place to start with PT. It's heavy and catchy and will leave wanting more. You'll dig the new album. Very well written songs on it. Have a happy and safe 4th of July Lovell!
Hi Gil … excellent !!!! Still waiting for my record store here to get the new album in stock. Only heard the singles they released so far . Waiting to hear the whole album in its entirety. I’m going there today so hopefully it’s in. A couple you showed there that I haven’t heard yet. So great that they are back. Awesome that you are seeing them in concert ! I need to thank you again for introducing me to Steven Wilson’s solo work and Porcupine Tree over the years . That acoustic ep sounds cool. I’ve never seen that one. Thank Gil ! Have a great holiday weekend ! Chez
Hi Chez, hope you are able to score the new PT album. I know you will like what you hear. Always happy to turn someone on the Steven Wilson and PT. You can't go wrong with that music. I can't to see them live. That will be a fantastic concert. Thanks for watching Chez. Have a great weekend!
i think the new PT is a good album. The only porcupine tree albums i own are in absentia and fear of a blank planet. i also have sky moves sideways but its the original 1lp version. i got 2 live albums coma divine and the house of blues concert(that you said is rare :) . umm ive heard all their other stuff but those are the only ones i felt compelled to buy. i also love the track lazarus but dont really like the rest of deadwing. its was a more "metal" type of album. idk The new album is really good but not to the point of getting it...this is just for me imo.. I'm a moderate casual PT fan.
You have some of the same PT albums as me. That House of Blues live record sold put so fast. As far as I know it has not been reissued. I like the metal side of PT. I've always been a metal/prog fan, so that sound appealed to me. The band Opeth definitely influenced PT with the metal sound. I'm loving the new album and can't wait to see them live. Thank you so much for watching and commenting. Have a great weekend!
