@@gurujojo8992 I wouldn't be surprised at all if that's something people do. Realistically, honest and salaried individuals get shafted mate in the UK unfortunately and most places. I was working as a Tech contractor a couple years ago and I was advised to take a minimal salary of £790 a month to avoid paying any tax and then withdraw £4000 a month in dividends from my LTD company. Completely legal. Just how the world works, sadly.

Nice car for sure but after driving both I preferred and bought a 718. 992 felt too big and heavy. I’ve never driven a GT3 but for the regular models stuff what others think give me a 718. That said the best car is the one you love so congrats on the 992 S, beautiful car ❤️❤️

No and on the resale market you’ll lose even more. I absolutely love the carbon buckets for their looks and for how actually comfortable they are given their purpose, and I especially love the ease of changing out the cushions. HOWEVER: They’re only appropriate if the only street driving you do is on your way to the track (which also means PDK since the goal is lap times) so they should only be spec’d in RS cars being used as such. They should never be spec’d in a 911 either because it defeats the entire purpose of the 911 setup by preventing access to the back seat/storage space. Outside of the 918, I would only reccomend them in a GT4 RS with Weissach. That’s for personal use and resale value. Buying a GT car second hand, as 99.9% of us do, get whatever gives you the gigglies, just don’t pay a penny more for buckets vs. a comp without them because the next person absolutely will not.

For a daily driver, sure. For a car meant to deliver excitement and exhilarating engagement for the driver, the manual does that. Porsche’s rev matching makes it easier to execute the downshifts, too, which none of the commenters are picking up.

PDK is literally the German for Porsche dual-clutch.

PDK literally means Porsche Doppelkuplungsgetriebe. Porsche Dual-Clutch Transmission (or Porsche Double-Clutch Transmission)

It's Porsche's automatic DCT transmission option. You can google this stuff you know?

Nah, manual would still feel more engaging. I would get the manual and put in a shorter final drive. You know the PDK and manual gearing are about the same right?

@@philspaghet No, the gearing is not the same. Also, the problem gears in the manual are 2nd and 3rd, not the higher gears.

@@Fluterra See Matt Farah's review, the difference is only 4-5 mph in 2nd and 3rd. Also, even so, get the manual and get a shorter final drive, problem solved.

@@philspaghet No, it's not about final drive, in 6th. We are talking about using the engine in the power band - with the current gearing (esp.,, 2nd, 3rd), you can't do that. It's not 4-5mph, I don't know what that means. Trap speed? Top speed at redline? BOTTOM LINE: the car sucks with a manual. Watch the Throttle House review "blue balls blue".

You obviously don’t understand much about the terrible gearing in the GT4/Spyder. The manual is a TERRIBLE choice for this car, because of the ridiculous gear ratios.

@@Fluterra I in fact know about the long ratios in the manual and they aren’t anywhere near as bad as they were in the 981 GT4. The difference is roughly 4-5mph per gear from pdk to manual with the majority of the difference being below 60mph. There’s hardly any difference in the real world performance above 2nd gear. No difference in top speed either. You obviously don’t know much about driver engagement or driver involvement. If you daily driver this get a Pdk, you’ll be in 7th by 40mph if that excites you? If it’s your track toy which it should be if you bought a GT4 … get a manual, one perfect heel and toe and you’ll soon forget the 0.5 seconds quicker the pdk is.
