I’m not sure Stella is the right horse for Laura, Laura needs an 18inch saddle and Stella is only 15.1 and is quite short backed too! She’s also quite forward going compared to other horses like storm

That “western saddle pad” at green hawk was a saddle pad cover to make the real saddle pad pretty. A real western saddle pad is thick and it is a grey-ish color.

If you and Sophie are interested in buying a western saddle, and if Sophie wants to learn how to ride western/barrel race, I would recommend getting her a few lessons first! It is pretty different from English riding but I think Sophie would enjoy it!

Favorite color saddle pad on my horse is like a navy or royal blue but for like lemeuix it is probably burgundy

I think it would be really good for you guys to get a western saddle! But, you have to know what you want to do in western before you get a saddle. You can get a trail saddle (what Sam was standing beside in the video), a barrel saddle, or a pleasure saddle. Also, when Sam said that the trail saddle was only $500, that is a pretty good deal but you can get better. I got a very nice brand of barrel saddle (double T) for under $430 in December. I can’t wait for you guys to get a new western saddle and to keep exploring horses in a new and fun discipline!

I don't know if you remember when I said I was doing a youth rodeo series but we finished them up yesterday and got our awards, I got a bridle for 3rd all around and I won 1st in roping so I got a custom rope bag and a gift card for a new rope! I was SO excited! ever since I was little I would ride my bike around with a rag tied to a stick and pretend it was a flag and I was galloping around on my big black horse with a star (my dream horse was a black horse with a white star) and yesterday it became reality I got to carry the flag around on my big black horse with a white star I also made some new friends! I was about to do pole bending right after a girl and she's an amazing Rider and has been riding her whole life but the ground by the gate was terrible ☹️ and she was galloping back full speed and her horse stumbled and she fell off really hard and it was horrible then I had to go and I was running back and my horse Smokey stumbled in the same place that her horse did and I almost fell off so they finally decided to work the ground so everyone else had good ground but it was fun and the girl who fell off was fine and so was her horse!

Just a little tip for when your putting hat in the field you want to always want to have more piles then the amount of horses in the field so if you had 2 horses in the field you would have 3-4 piles or if you had 4 horses your would have 5-6 piles this makes sure that no one goes hungry because if on horse is more dominant than the others it will be able to take their hay which would leave hat horse without any unless you put out extra just a little tip x

Hey Laura I have a suggestion for when you pick up your poop in the mornings. YOu should always pick up the frozen poop so if they step they won't have the chance of injuring themselves. This happened to my riding instructer and her horse simply walked on the frozen poop, twisted her knee, and was lame for a month. I absolutly don't mean to offend you I just want to keep your horses safe. Remember, I ABSOULUTLY LOVE YOU GUYS❤️🐴

The saddle Sophie had was an Aussie saddle or type of Aussie saddle, not western :). Didn't know if you guys knew or not.

you do know horses role to crack there back...so when willow and stella don't role all the way over that means they didn't fully crack there back...one idea i think you should do for ur farm is build a nice paddock and 20 by 15 feet and put sand like actual beach sand in it for them to role. my barn has two and we put the horses in there daily and they lie in the sun and role. our chiropractor says that it's a good idea for all barns so they don't have to pay so much for the chiropractor to come every month!!

I had to think about it for almost a week to figure out that mine is probably stamina, drawing inferences from what I did or what my trainer told me and learning on my mistakes overall :D And I needed a couple of days to devise it lol

My horse looks kinda like stella but he has brown spots, he is a gelding, and he has only got one eye but he is still the best and he works just as well as storm!

You are fine to cut a hole in the top of the tank, we had to do that with ours to fit the heater in it during the winter.
