@Friendly Golfer! Thanks for making this video. There was a bug in the "Brick Wall" that had the wall positioned incorrectly. That is fixed and anyone that restarts their app will see a much more useful "Brick Wall"
Buy a SKYTRAK here: friendlygolfer.com/recommends/skytrak-plus-yt/ FYI - version 5.0 currently requires a gaming PC with these minimum specs: Windows 10, Intel i3 10100F/AMD Ryzen, 2600Nvidia GTX 1650/AMD Radeon 580, 128GB SSD Some of the frame stuttering in the video is because of my 60fps screen recording. It was not doing that when I was not recording.
In this video it's the SIG 10 enclosure: friendlygolfer.com/recommends/sig-enclosures/ but in most of my other videos it's the Carl's DIY 8x10.5 enclosure: friendlygolfer.com/recommends/carls-place-diy-enclosures/ If you have any questions about these shoot me an email: bobby@friendlygolfer.com
Question for you, what would you say LOOKS better I have a pretty decent PC. This new update, FSXPlay or GSPRO. Also second question. If I just wanted to do simulation golf would you recommend this unit with the new update OR BLP and getting gspro . Thank you!
I think I prefer FSX Play on looks alone but some GSPro courses might be better (not all are created equal). FSX Play and GSPro have very different looks in general. The SKYTRAK courses I would say are behind those two but much better than E6. All of that is just on looks, nothing else. If you want the best simulation experience I recommend BLP (or eye mini lite) and GSPro. Feel free to email me if you need further help: bobby@friendlygolfer.com
Unfortunately I’ve never used TGC so I can’t say. I would say it’s very basic but works well for a first version. There seem to be no lie penalties and no adjustment of green speed (it’s slow). I’ll have a nine hole video coming out in a few days.
From what I'm seeing in discord, no. It looks like you can install the 5.0 version into a separate folder and keep it and the previous version on the same computer. That way if you want to use GSPro just open the old skytrak with the openskyplus installed.
