I'm sorry if you did say this in the video but I am not sure I understand exactly what is new or different about the "new style" builds. I am very new to the idea of competition guns but I feel I am somewhat knowledgeable on firearms in general and I am trying to learn as much as I can. Any info you can give to help me understand the difference here would be very appreciated.
I prefer a 40-45 oz gun. I remember when I made GM my gun was around 39 oz. As I have gotten a bit older and beat up I like it right around 45. I have shot the 50+ oz guns and they are soft but I didn't like the feel of the gun while transitioning from target to target. That's the joy of open, build them the way you like it.
Atlas Gunworks a couple of my students went from heavy guns to lighter and they jumped to master quickly. Its all what you want the fun to feel like. Different strokes for different strokes. Remember when 9X25 dillon was supposed to be the next great thing. Thank god that died out. I have seen the game go back and forth from light to heavy several times over the past 25 years. One thing I will not debate, your guns look great.
