I chose white because it films better. The gloss black was for a seperate 2 channel demo and the black oak isnt available until about june. Obviously matte black is best for theaters.

Yea the white looks better on camera. Good contrast. Hard to film when everything is jet black lol

Oh man. Nice to hear or better read from you again. The SVS Ultra Evolution series gets me hyped but I am a bit worried because of the rear ports and woofer layout in an non ideal living room.

This is my biggest question too! How does the evolution Pinnacle or Titan compare to the Arendal THX towers.

@larsv6144 SVS’s center channel will be leagues better because it’s a 3-way design. Better off-axis response , no lobbing from the woofers, wider horizontal dispersion. Arendal has an incredible product, but there mtm 2-way center is there weakest link. Especially for home theatre when the center channel is the most important speaker, majority of sound comes from the center speaker.

@kkenmmac22 I cant say whether the SVS is better cause I havent heard them yet. Arendal CC works fine for me though. Everyone will have different tastes and preferences.

Curious, what benefit is there for the customer to buy SVS from a dealer rather than direct from SVS. Perhaps if you’re buying with other components there could be price considerations and of course support for an end to end system. That aside, I share your feelings over the white, especially in a dedicated theater room. I will say I had gloss white in a common room and it was very attractive.

I’m getting a full 7.1.4 (2 Pinnacle towers Evolution center (4 )Evolution bookshelves (4) Ultra Elevations for heights I currently have 4 Klipsch RP 1600sw subs to give me a 7.4.4.
