that boss fight enrage has finally answered my question on how I randomly died after getting kicked outside the invisible barrier on rek'sai map and AFKing for around 7 minutes.
I am not sure its possible to even get to 5 minutes on a normal playthorugh unless you are trying to do it. At that point no matter what you picked as long as you are at like lvl 30 (Wich you should be at the end game to even survive the mobs.) You should have more than enough damage to kill the bosses in 3 or so minutes.
I ended in low-mid level 20s many times by 15:00 naturally before getting upgrades Eventually learned blasting everything (plus perma upgrades) was better than bullet hell dodging but your level depends a lot on the build path
@@neochrzeo8561 unless your permanent upgrades are low or you built a fully defensive build it shouldn't be hard. Because I DID clear briar with Leona and I hadn't even unlocked animapower yet
@@Crowned_Hearts I indeed went full def leona. I upgaded armor cube and somethign else, and was level 37. 15% hp left. I am unkillable, though. What's the best single target dps item? I dont have yasuo or riven augment.
Really disappointing they didn't fix the bug where Aurora becomes targetable sometimes mid travel. You can see it at 2:56 and at the end of the clip. That kills runs when you suddenly become targetable while phasing through the boss.
@@Quinxed Unfortunately, despite putting this in the patch notes, it's not quite true in practice. Additionally, there is another new bug as a result of this fix that causes Aurora to lose her E untargetable after dashing in her ult.
There’s a few bugs that still haven’t been addressed. With auto target on, champions have a chance to randomly decide to target things that aren’t enemies, such as allies, NPC’s like Miss Fortune, and Access Cards. On the first map, if you one shot the tunnel before Rek’sai completely burrows, she won’t resurface at all and you cannot kill her because she is untargetable. This is easily done with maxed out Xayah with feather recall, instantly killing the tunnel when it appears. Certain Yuumi Quests and Bel’veth trials can bug out if you instantly complete the objective. For example, “Kill Spidershot” or “Kill the Chomper”. If you manage to one shot the mob instantly as it spawns, you will not receive credit for completing the objective and nothing will happen. No access card spawns, no exp and gold appears, and no extra boon appears.
@@professoryorick5676 are you sure it was an insta one shot? Because I’ve literally had it die before I even saw the objective or the mob even spawn because it died the second I auto’d while in melee range. I’ve even had one where there was a timer at the top that kept going and did nothing when it reached zero. No exp, no access card, not even an objective complete or failed pop up. It’s as though the event never happened.
Wish the enrages were more thought out than just a shockwave. Like for Rek'sai she starts spawning 10x more sharks and they move faster. Briar starts pushing enemies away with the scream ALL around her to the edge of the arena nonstop. Belveth reduces the walkable area to nothing in her arena. Aatrox just drops his swords extremely fast non-stop and higher areas.
The Aurora E detonation is exactly what I wanted as a buff on her. The start for her felt clunky due to how slow her attacks go off at the start on higher difficulties.
Her ult is still wildly unreliable and messy. I don't think I use it more than twice a match. The possibility of randomly losing untargetability and instantly dying to a boss is not worth it
the detonation doesnt even feel like its implemented correctly 😂 i wanna sit on top of the seahorse, invulnerable, constantly cursing and popping the curse
I am unironically grateful for Jinx's nerf, I lost matches because I was going so fast my game lagged and I ended up dying by bumping myself into enemies
Them actively trying to add new synergies to swarm after release gives me a lot of faith that they'll rerun this mode some day like arena :) Also they fixed the odd bug where you could delete coins, magnets, and bombs by dashing into them as Yasuo lmaooo
I wouldn’t mind if they just did this for base champions for a more permanent mode. So many champs to pull from without having to formulate skin lines and new alt universes. Just let me pick from a couple popular league champs and have the maps be different regions of Runeterra. Could be a cool way to explore new settings and such. Maybe release new regions over time, with each region having a few different maps. New content with each region release. Bosses for each map, imagine a boss fight in the void vs Bel’Veth, on the shadow isles vs Viego, in bilgewater vs Gangplank, etc. To keep things repetitive and interesting, they can add events like this swarm where you play in a seperate skin line universe where they can try out more experimental mechanics. They can also continue the daily missions, have interesting and difficult unlocks, more difficulty levels, and randomized stages/enemies. Could also add small upgrades that are hard to earn for individual champs you enjoy playing for long term progression, something like a mastery simple with small buffs tied into it. For example, reach “mastery 10” on Seraphine and she gets an extra projectile and maybe starts sparkling gold or some shit. Lol Just yapping at this point, hire me riot 😊

@@dieptrieu6564 eh if they plan to keep it live service like their other games, it’s probably better as F2P. It also helps bring in more players from their other games, especially LoL. They’re good at monetizing F2P games and this genre has a lot of competition that’s already out there for very cheap or free. It’s not a very complicated game to keep updated like LoL or TFT. It also uses assets that’s already there thanks to LoL, all of which makes it pretty cheap to maintain and update, so they wouldn’t need much. They could even just allow league skins used for LoL to supplement sales of those skins. They could introduce a gacha system like TFT’s for weapon effects, kill effects, etc. Not hard at all.
I had no idea that bosses would execute after 7 minutes, I had a Leona run on extreme vs Briar and I had all defensive stats and didn’t take damage, and after whittling the boss to 5/6ths health I randomly died, that explains that
The only fix that worked for me is to wait till your E cooldown and have a friend pick up a card while youre still in your E, its really annoying and I dont understand why that wouldnt be priority to fix
i love that in the clip where iits "it even can spawn 6 yuumis" not a single one did damage because the enemies died before they got to them and then they retreat and try again... and repeat
with how this game plays, i have a couple of ideas to new champs that would make alot of sense to have in swarm. Garen is one of them. Lucian could be alot of fun to have in this game mode. Singed could make sense. as you for the most part just run around and spam millions of dmg, then Singed makes alot of sense as well as Hecarim, Kled, Mater Yi, Lillia. as for mages, Lux could be fun. Ziggs, Kennen ect. 2 things i would do something about for sure is adding rerolls to augment selection. and whatever you use for weapons you pick up during leveling, are rerolls you have left to work with augment selection to balance out the benefits you have during a game. pretty boring to get higher gold income as your best augment when you have nothing left to spend gold on. second thing i would add for sure, is a system that tells you how much dmg each weapon did. if you had 30m dmg in one match. wouldn it be worth something to know what did 12m per say as supose to 3m?
Aatrox battle was also bug fixed. The sword projectiles now correctly travel and spawn across the whole arena so you can no longer kite Aatrox from right to left to cheese the battle anymore
I swear theres a furry working on this mode at riot The ":3", "UwU blaster", "OwO blaster" and even sometimes when you start a swarm game the text in the loadng screen is "uwu" I respect this person also I would've done the same :3
When working on Swarm item had placeholder names, funny names that aren't supposed to be final. They're usually stupid so the devs don't get attached to them. UwU blaster is one of them but since the gamemode isn't serious they got attached to it and kept it
Uwu is more like a discord kitten thing than a furry thing right? The whole skin line is like cute, mech, anime themed (catboy yasuo lol) so culturally they actually nailed it.
There is an illaoi bug that allows you to spawn multiple tentacles at once At least it was in last patch, but i didnt see it as bugfix in the patch notes Oh but i just saw they removed the recall button, then this wont work anymore....
I basically had a BIS Leona build on my first try after the update and and I can confirm, the damage get's absolutely nutty. I was spawning basically 2 trains all the time and they were all hitting between 17k and 23k dmg on everything they hit. (Additionally, when it upgrades, it leaves a trail of damaging area as well. It was honestly nuts. I was in a lobby with 3 randoms. I did something like 47 million dmg while the others did like 10 lol
Funny Part: Briar E is Still Bugged If You Press It When The Card Selection Screen Appears (It Renders You Unable To Move Briar When the Frenzy Is Over, But Is Fixable if you Do The Same Thing Again)
Illaoi tentacles if stacked enough crit will always be large (when evolved)it's says something in the tooltip, but im convinced its because is crit chance
with briar i got some wierd stuff, when i got that augment where if you stand in place you get ability haste (sorry cant remember its name now) my briar was walking slowly backwards and attacking closest enemy when using ult or E
wish they added another upgrade to spend gold on theres room for it in the upgrades (theres literally an open slot for a box to the right of anima) and if for whatever reason you struggle to get conqueror playing solo so you end up with 500k extra gold, you have something to spend it on
so the one thing i can still find with sera double cast being bugged, boomerangs evolved, does the same as pre fixed crossbow, a random +1 projectile instead of complete double cast
I don't love the boss oneshot mechanic tbh. Like, it's better that it's visible than not obviously, but I was trying to get through the second map on hard yesterday and my build was working fine until the briar boss fight, but I did basically no damage to her. I wasn't really taking damage either though, so I assumed I could just outlast her and I'd kill her eventually. But that's not allowed :') kind of a shame imo.
I remember I was playing solo Jinx and my passive triggered with the power-up I picked and I was so fast literally teleported inside the enemies and died instantly xD
7:50 I was wondering wtf is happening to Rek'Sai Then I realized its cuz you never killed the first tunnel, she enraged to the point of going so speedy, she started teleporting
Yeah “boni” is the correct plural of the latin word “bonus”, of which the english word is derived. But since the word has been anglicized, it should be “bonuses”.
@@phantomblade8584 In German the singular is "Bonus" and the plural with German declension is "Bonusse" but "Boni" from Latin declension is also used and is shorter. Somehow I just assumed without checking it would be like that in English as well.

Something is weird with the Card Collector augment. No longer gives 5% on lvl up, furthermore, it does not give 5% at all. I was getting +9% for each boss card collected. No mention of change in patch notes. Haven't done a lot of testing yet. Edit: It gives 5% of yout total BASE damage, ignoring Anima Power. My base is 180, doubled by anima, 360, and still I get 9% per card, 5% of 180.
So they made the mode easier even though it was already too easy. Especially after anime lvl 30, there is no way to die anymore. I hope they will had a super hard difficulty that requires you to play almost perfectly
Leona was already good, now she's ridiculously strong. Armor ratio from 2 to 3 is a lot, but Sunlight damage going from 75 to 300 is insane. That damage is multiplied by your damage modifier AND it can crit. Combined with reduced cooldown this makes her hit ridiculously hard for a tank. Hooray, Aurora went from a meme to a viable pick. She's still the weakest, but not by a mile anymore. Yasuo's nerf is completely irrelevant, the tornadoes could last 1 second and they would still be incredible given how often he's able to cast them with maxed out crit and multiple crit weapons. Suprised you didn't mentioned Ramming Runner. It got nerfed by half and it's still probably the best augment in the game. Tibbers got buffed damage, but his damage was never an issue, it's his acquisition range (he won't aggro onto enemies until they're literally right of him). And I'm shocked the weapon that leaves the poison trail behind you wasn't buffed. It is almost as comically bad as Aurora was before the patch.

Thank god they're atleast trying to fix aurora. Her early game was just ridiciously weak compared to others. Still dont see her as a top pick however this is definitely a step in the right direction.
So there is still no timer for how much time you have to kill the boss? Just some exclamation points right before, when you can't do anything anyways? What a weird choice.
I want Re-rolls for Yuumi Quest augments. Let me unlock them, idc. But since i grinded for the unlocked ones, it feels bad NEVERA getting them in game.
@@mekkuzu5944 nope I've specifically tested it at the beginning of the boon. I have the ginormous shield I click e and when it runs out the entire shield is gone
oh wait im pretty sure the same thing happened to me on the first week of the gamemode's release but i was playing seraphine instead of leona so maybe all shields could randomly remove that boon?

If you built Leona as a tank with lots of AoE abilities rather than single target, especially when playing solo and not maxed out on account upgrades, she couldn't kill some bosses on extreme at all. While she wouldn't take any damage, the bosses were way too beefy. Even with five fully evolved abilities and almost maxed out passives, she just wouldn't deal enough damage and would just die to bosses once they grew enraged. The same still applies to Riven when you play her as a tank rather than a damage dealer. Even staying on top of the boss for the entire five minutes doesn't allow you to deal enough damage.
Eh, she still has enough damage. Her optimal builds still contains build path for uwu, vortex and crossbow, 3 of the strongest single target dps in the game. She's slower than others, but she's pretty consistent.
