Oh! WOW! WOW! WOW! My goodness the way that glitter is settling is beautiful, but the white is what shocked me, i adore how the white fluffed out. Beautiful colours. ❤❤❤
I am definitely intrigued by your idea to use the piping bags that way. I need to try this! I have cake decorating stuff tucked away somewhere. Time to pull it out. Lol. I noticed your choice of epoxy was Envirotex. That is what I started out using and I ended up switching to KSResin after my pieces started to yellow. Apparently, the brand is known for it. Your work is beautiful and I don't think either of us want to see it tainted. Lol. KSResin is what I ended up switching to. Liquid Art. It's a $10 different but it's worth it in the long run and it's my favorite epoxy so far. Plus they offer free shipping. Lol. I used a discount code about a week ago, "aberrant". I'm not sure if it's still active, but in case you were curious. Sorry, this ended up being a lot longer than I anticipated. Haha.
This is such a beautiful technique. I’m just in awe. I wonder if you paint the top coaster with a bit of resin before sitting it on top of the new resin that would help with the connection and you don’t have to worry about an air bubble.
Sherry these are so amazing! I am so excited to have a try at this! Thank you for your awesomeness in sharing all that you know. You have inspired me so!😁🐇❣😘😍💞
Beautiful job!!!!! I would like to learn more about your technique . The ratio of the mix and the material you used and where to get them . Thank you for introduce me to this wonderful art
OMG is right Sherry! I keep coming back to your video. I can't message from my kindle for some reason but I've watched you do this at least 4 times! I just love it. Now I have to buy one more mold (for some dumb reason I only bought one red one like yours and can't remember where I bought it from :( Anyway, thank you for making beautiful coasters and sharing your technique. I would call these "Awesome Blossoms" because they are awesome. TY. Blessings to your and yours~ Stay Safe P.S. We have you and your hsb beat. We've been in the house since March. I can't go out because of my disability (I'm in the High risk range) It's been us and our 2 kits, Porter and Stout. I didn't name them, he did lol They're our kids that won't leave home, and don't want an inheritance. lol Really, our human kids are great. We were right in the middle of moving out of state for his job. Then Covid hit, and our house being sold fell through and our building our new house fell through in the state where his new job is. SO yep, we're going bonkers and hoping we can move by fall. It will all work out, somehow. We have faith that it will. People are being much kinder to one another and our air all over the world has gotten cleaner in just weeks. These are the only 2 things that have been good about this Pandemic. Take care and keep on doing what your doing. I'm going to try and dark blue and gold with this glitter if I can find it in my state. Yours are BEAUTIFUL!
Hey Sherry!!! I just recently found you, and I am in LOVE with your work!!! You have given me so many new ideas of things to try and expand into with what I already do. THANK YOU!!! 💖 I have a question though... When you do the coasters, and after you leave the first side to harden in the molds overnight, could you just leave the original top piece in the mold and just pour the bottom on top of what has already hardened to ensure everything fully adheres with no gaps or open spaces to worry about!?! Sorry if that is a stupid question if there is a reason that is a big no no... I am just getting started with working with Resin and have a lot to learn, so there may be a good reason to never do that, that I have not become aware of just yet. Thank You again for sharing with us... THESE ARE AMAZING... as are all the others I have seen thus far.
Thanks sooooo much and I'm glad you found me 🥰🥳🥳🥳 yes with these molds you get a lip/ridge so my thoughts were to do it this way so that there were no ridges and both sides were nice. Probably more work then needed to be lol. Thanks so much for watching 🥰🥰🥰🇨🇦
Sometimes I will use a syringe or a turkey baster (Dollar Store) to suction some of the glitter out of an area I don't want it in. Just be careful with the baster- don't squeeze too fast :)
Amazing. Although it was a shame to cover one of the sides when both sides turned out so beautiful. Some have the white go down to lumps in the bottom or a second color will drop to bottom just having a big circle but yours were perfect on the bottom. I have to rewatch to pick up what you did different. Beautiful video.
These are beautiful! I love glitter! I tried coasters a while ago but with Art Resin (big mistake, too soft, and then KS Resin). Neither of them cured hard enough that I would actually feel comfortable using them except for as wall art. Does the Envirotex Lite resin cure hard enough that you could use these coasters for hot or cold drinks? Makes me want to try coasters again, these are lovely!
Absolutely in love with these 😍 just one question on the white paint ratio? Are you just adding the white pigment to normal resin or is this just pure paint? Sorry if someone has already asked and been answered. Or do you have a separate video explaining this? Thank you again for your videos 😊
Thanks so much and thanks for watching. So I usually mix 2 oz of resin with 10 drops of casting craft opaque pigment white. You will not get the same effect with Paint. Hopefully this was helpful 🥰🥰🥰🇨🇦
Hey. Nice work. Just watched this video and noticed a cloudy patch on the back of two of the coasters? Was that a mold issue or was it an air bubble? I've tried this technique before and sometimes get air wedged between the two layers.
Hi Sherry ,ty for sharing ur coasters. Question where did u get onx glitter an the black diamond pigment powder an what type of bag r u using for white coloring that u squeeze in the coaster . Ty
Thanks so much the glitter is from Michael's Canada, the bag is a cake decorating plastic bag and the black diamond pigment is from Amazon . Here is my Canadian link www.amazon.ca/shop/sherrymoulton USA. www.amazon.com/shop/sherrymoulton Thanks so much for watching 🥰🥰🥰🇨🇦
Hello Sherry. I discover your chanel since yesterday with beautiful painting with cruch glasses. I love what you do! I'm just a little sad because I Don't understand all. Effectively I'm not bilinguale in English then it's not easy to follow all. I come from Belgium. Thanks for sharing your technic. You are a new subscriber :-) Kiss. Béatrice
Wonderful video. I have a question the first coaster with the white in it . Did those have those annoying ridges on it? Plus where did you find that rack you use. Plus where did you you get that Black Diamond Powder? Have a wonderful day and stay safe out there.
Thanks sooooo much and thanks for watching. Yes I did get ridges that's why I flipped them and poured the second coat lol grrrrrr now the rack I got at Walmart in Canada it's a under the counter rack. The pigments are from Amazon. Here are my links Canadian www.amazon.ca/shop/sherrymoulton USA www.amazon.com/shop/sherrymoulton 🥰🥰🥰🇨🇦
May I ask why you didn't just put the black layer at the back of the first layers? Was it just so you didn't have to sand? Beautiful outcome, thank you for sharing.
Thanks so much and the white mixture is 2 oz of resin 10 drops of casting craft opaque pigment white. Have fun I would to see how they turn out. Thanks for watching 😍🇨🇦
Sherry what make are your round resin molds and what size are they? I have seen people complaining their molds are tearing. I would appreciate your input. Love your videos.
I got mine off Amazon they are in my Amazon shop Canada www.amazon.ca/shop/sherrymoulton these are ok but for the price I don't mind use them. Thanks for watching 🥰🥰🥰🇨🇦
Thanks so much and thanks for watching. Yes you can put it right on top. I was doing this way because I did like the ridge but I sometimes get air bubbles. 🥰🥰🥰🇨🇦
Lol I had to rewatch the video. There was no step missed the white spreads on it own there is a reaction that's why you use the casting craft opaque pigment. Thanks so much and thanks for watching 🥰🥰🥰🇨🇦
I realize this is a month ago, but have you ever though of using mica pigments for your bottom layer? They are so beautiful! You wouldn't have to use much if the pigments and you'd have a gorgeous bottom layer. Some pigments, of course, are better then others. Colour Arte is one of the best, but you use very little of their resin pigments. Art Resin liquid pigments are beautiful too, but I think they are oil based so you don't have to worry about torching to get out the bubbles. I know a couple others that stre good as well that you can purchase on etsy. Other irons would be to add metallic paint or you could add drops of alcohol ink and just let them disperse in the resin. It looks really cool! These are just thoughts.
Thanks so much 🥰 I do mix mica powders and inks. My problem is that I have tooooooo many things to choose from hahahaha the struggles that I have lol🤣 thanks so much for watching 🥰🇨🇦
Thanks so much and thanks for watching. I got a couple and I really dont know how to fix once cured. I show in the video that I put up today how I try to prevent them. Hope this helps 🥰🇨🇦
Sherry Moulton you could try drilling a needle size hole in one side, then inject with clear resin, you probably wouldn’t notice it if done neatly and not let resin dry on outside, wipe any off if it oozes
Hi Sherry...this was so interesting....& yes turned out lovely!....can I ask where you ordered your moulds & the Black diamond pigments from?...I live in Australia & can’t find anything locally...thanks

Im confused, or maybe dumb...I dont understand why you did it this way instead of just pouring the second layer on top? Wouldnt it be easier just to do that? You talked about sanding...but I never sand mine, I exacto knife around the lip and put cork backs on them...do you put cork or any backs on these??
Thanks sooooo much I was looking for 2 nice sides and I dont put cork on these ones. Yes i know its probably more work lol . Thanks so much for watching 🥰🥰🥰🇨🇦
Thanks sooooo much for watching. Hello my fellow Ontarian 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦 I'm so excited I just got my first order of Krystalresin the price is amazing they are having a flash sale right now and it's free shipping in Canada they are based in Toronto here is there link www.krystalresin.com/ 🥰🥰🥰🇨🇦
Thanks so much and thanks for watching 🥰 I think if you let your resin cure a little then put it in. I had some issues when my resin was so hot in the bag I could hardly finish it now those coasters the white did not spread. That was when I was warming my resin because it was cold. Or if you dont want it to spread I would not use the heat gun on it . Hope this helped🥰🇨🇦
@@SherryMoulton Thank you so much for replying so quickly. I do not want the white resin to spread. I tried this last week. It was fine in the beginning but after an hour the white had spread all over. Will cure the resin a little more and try again
Hi Sherry. I tried to use this technique of removing coasters, making base and adding coaster back on top and I got air bubbles :(. Would it be possible to not demold the coaster and just pour the base on top?
Yes I got these off Amazon Canada here is my link ... www.amazon.ca/shop/sherrymoulton this is the American link www.amazon.com.au/SourceTon-3-Cavity-Silicone-Non-Stick-Baking/dp/B07D9BMTZD/ref=mp_s_a_1_44?keywords=silicone+cake+mold&qid=1590060607&sr=8-44#
No the if you dont have heat you could us a lighter or a bbq started. Just go over it real fast dont leave it in one spot to long. Thanks so much for watching 🥰🇨🇦
Lol you have Recollections glitter, I think it may be the difference countries thing.. We say rec-ollections and you say re-collections. I was about to be your neighbor, if the election didn't go the way it did I was going to try to escape up to beautiful Canada where people are polite. We have forgotten how to do that here! Love watching your videos and your Christmas hats!
Lol I thought thats what you were talking about but was not sure 😅. Your welcome here anytime 😉 I guess its pronounced rec-ollections I've been told a few times hahahaha 😍😍😍
You say it anyway you want. I've noticed a few things that we say differently. Doesn't make it wrong. You say Pebeo we say Peebeo. I enjoy differences and accents. And your videos!
These are beautiful 🤩 I tried this but can’t get my white to look this good it levels out and blends together. Can you give me some tips...I don’t know what I’m doing wrong 🤷🏼♀️
This is such a beautiful technique. I’m just in awe. I wonder if you paint the top coaster with a bit of resin before sitting it on top of the new resin that would help with the connection and you don’t have to worry about an air bubble.
