People not understanding what’s happening. Why pay 50 , 75k a year for a person when I can buy a robot for 20k. People are going to start losing jobs. You better wake tf up now. Start investing everything. It’s only going to be rich and poor , no in between.
Very cogent point. I make videos on how AI works and I'll be explaining that in a lot more detail soon -- but you're right, widespread job displacement is definitely coming in the minds of these AI inventors and industry watchers, and not just manual labor jobs. So you're right, investing well is the most effective way to ward off the more negative impacts many will feel.
@@TheThinkersBibleOh it's gonna be more than job displacement, there's not gonna be jobs. Robots can do a more efficient job than humans can, and I can't think of any position we can't automate. So what position will you be working in that a robot couldn't fill?
Certain blue collar jobs are untouched due to rigidity and strength involved. It won't.jsooen in our lifetime but it'll happen in the next 60-100 years fa sho.
The audacity to run a campaign called " We Robot " when the movie iRobot literally warned us of the dangers. Still, my toxic trait is thinking if I'm nice to mine I won't have to worry; as much.
As Musk says, you just show it the video and it will do the task. So showing it a different dish every day, preparing the ingredients, cooking, OMG, that's how Optimus can become a Home Maker!
Starting for trump supporters and elon supporters hahaha they usually have low butt jobs who a Tesla can do 100 times better that's why Trump insist on kicking out mexicans
Given that robots are working in restaurants around the world already, that would not be difficult actually. The idea of programming a Tesla robot in particular to do this in a particularly restaurant should theoretically be easy, but I think they are trying to go a lot bigger (self-learning). Imagine self-learning such that they can actually be a true chef and you can ask it to make something and it will look around and tell you what else it needs before it can go to work to make it. Gonna be ridiculous
Well, the thing i want to reslly see is the capacity for you to teach it how to cook. Because buying a robot and training it to do whatever task you need would be the selling point.
@@travisjazzbo3490if its "not difficult actually" then why they didnt make it ? Why not one of them was able to move his legs while dancing or bartending ? Hint : they cant, their balance is horrible. Thats why robots in restaurant are usually static arms. But hey elon fanboy is gonna fanboy i guess
@@cannadodry7022 because they aren't making robots to specifically work in restaurants. They are making robots to do generally anything a human can do and learn to do it the way a human does. In the same way they are not making FSD to work in a geofenced area with super expensive hardware. Still, the far more difficult vision and AI learning and way, way more expensive and engineering, but once they have it, the idea is it can be deployed virtually everywhere, not just geofenced areas and each vehicle costs a ton of money so that only certain people can afford to have it - mainly business. In doing this, I expect that the best place for humanoid robots to work that makes the most sense is factories, where hundreds can be deployed working 24 x 7 shifts, with each robot capable of working 75% of the available time. That is likely the biggest bang for the buck and the direction they are headed as the highest priority as far as deployment. If they wanted to program a robot to work in a specific restaurant chain where 90% of everything is the same in that chain, that may be a way to go also. To get a huge contract with McDonalds let's say and specifically put a lot of energy into that. However, can you imagine the backlash of that if they announced that type of plan? I just know their early plans are to work factory-type jobs where places like Amazon already have robots doing a good amount of work specifically designed for certain things, but they need humans to do other things. Yes, I am a fanboy of a person that have completely revolutionalize 6 entire industries and in those industries no one can even come close to his innovation nor put together talent and focus like he can
Tesla will sell the Optimus Gen 2 late next year, the rental program will probably take place sooner, but we think they will deliver to celebrities first before delivering according to the reservation list. On the other hand, we don't think the Optimus Gen 2 will cost $20K at launch! Time will answer
It’s all smoke and mirrors. Tesla marketing hype without real substance just like many “innovative” Tesla features and products that never quite work as indicated.
2077, they prolly move just like us by then... I asked chatgpt about them an it said Istanbul or the riftvally was significant, so I dunno how humanoid bots blend with society but it's reasons sound perfect 😎🏴☠️
I was a product manager for AI at GE Software and make videos on how AI actually works to make it able to do these things. Although these robots may not do all these things or hit these price points in the near future (remember how long it took to get a $40,000 Tesla), the fact Tesla is heading this direction with their robots should make everyone take notice. Humanoid robots will someday be very serious machines for a wide range of tasks, including human jobs. There's also the danger that people will begin to believe these machines are actually thinking as they get better and better at imitating and duplicating the nuances of human motion and eventually speech. Hopefully that extreme can be prevented but unfortunately many people will incorrectly start thinking that way.
you right like i believe in the robots can be helpful and that we can live with them but for us to we must not over push them nor we can not thinking they dont have feeling so we got to respect them like they are family we do that we will be able to live with them
@@Robin-b4e I tend to think about it differently. I don't abuse my laptop or phone, but I understand it doesn't have feelings. Robots are computers. Literally nothing more. They can be programmed to imitate emotional responses, but they're actually huge sets of mathematical equations, just like you'd solve on a chalkboard. Just running on a computer. Literally.
Lohnt sich auf jeden Fall mehr zu holen, als eine Freundin. Der Roboter Macht den Haushalt und nervt mich nicht, labert mich nicht voll und spurt, so wie es sich gehört. 😂😂
So at 1:42 individuals are either programming things into the robots or are connected to the robots somewhere around the world and are remotely controlling them. Definitely the movie iRobot has come to life 💯
Idk, really cool but kinda scary especially if it can teach itself. How does it know what it wants to learn? Does it want to learn how to take out the trash, or does it want to learn how to take over the world? 🤷♂️
It’s the start of what I like to call, the Will Smith effect.. Will Smith’s movies are in chronological order for a reason. iRobot was made in 2004.. I am legend was made in 2007 and After Earth was made in 2013. Just go back and watch those movies.. Y’all be safe out here
@@Linoy-u1cis this available already? No, so this is just fairy tale. The Optimus "talking" was faked and even their movement was probably real time motion capturing, so why should we believe in price? :(
@ulysses1685 he will talk and think by himself they say it. And also there is already robots that know to talk and think by themselves, like roobt moxie and robot nao.
What would be nice if you can remote control the robot through VR assistance, let it go to the supermarket and control it from there to pick your groceries. Would be nice if you can also modify skins for the robot, make it freaking Robocop, a maid or whatever you wanna do with it lol. As someone who is barely getting by I'd pay 20k for that.
@@666Crenado I know but sometimes there are stores or local stores that do not deliver, it's just the idea of it. Or have a robot working as your wing man at a home date, let it tell jokes at a family dinner, play with children the idea of it seem fun, accepting packages and what not?
Your right they were just remote control puppets and the operator spoke through a microphone and the built in speaker system, we are many years away from them doing what they were pretending to be able to do.
@@thetruthfinder8316 Yeah. Sadly there were fanboys swearing it was real. Then, when they realized they were fooled they said “still very impressive” Boston dynamics could have made a talking dog 10 years ago. They just have too much class.
It's not that the limitations of Optimus (I.e. it can't yet do what we saw it do) was disappointing but that they didn't TELL us up front that it was being remote controlled. I feel like Tesla attempted to deceive me.
Why so sensitive. We all know this aint gonna be as good as we think. we know it will be good enough. 70k for one and yes it can water the plants even if the plant is dead😂
I guess there is an application for a self driving cab for younger and older folks to get to their errands if they can maintain a safe distance between vehicles.
Honestly. I think a whole new city and neighborhood will need to be build where only automotive vehicles and electric is allowed. So it can have its own wide ranged. But i would love to see a tesla everywhere. I would get a tesla robot too. That means. Back rubs and foot massages lol
Humans don’t have much empathy anyway have you looked at the world today? All the broken bones torn flesh and screaming and you want to pretend humans are somehow nicer than robots 😂
I think it actually doesn't matter if it was remotely controlled here or not. Like we already have so many AI's, and when they put AI in Optimus its just a matter of time, and it is not going to be much. Like year or two, and not only this robots will have their AI, but they will be way better.
This is revolutionary. Every household will have a robot in the future that will help with everything from chores to helping with homework. Man this is gonna be a wild and cool future.
The only thing he demonstrated was a high end remote control puppet controlled by people by remote control and talked to through a microphone and speaker, But I'm sure many years from now he will have robots that will be fully autonomous but right now we just have these remote control puppets. LOL
how many people do you think had a part in making a single tesla optimus? from scratch. and i’m not just talking about putting it together, i mean every step of the way. the materials, the tools used to make those materials, and the tools used to make those tools. kinda like the pencil example, where no one can make even a simple pencil by themselves. every piece of metal, every circuit, the software, someone had to mine, design, or write all that, and they needed machines, which were built by even more people using other tools, and so on. it just keeps going, way beyond the factory. you start realizing millions of people had a hand in it, probably more. it’s not even just now, it’s stuff going back through history, all the way to the first tools. all those people are part of what made tesla optimus happen.
So as we know talking Optimus was a fake and movement of these robots is lame. They are so slow! You wanna know how next gen robots moving? Check G1 humanoid robot, or even old Atlas by Boston Dynamics. Tesla robot is obsolete on start.
@@Gary-b6b7fWhy do you think It's Gonna be $1 per hour? We dont know real price of subscription, only Elon's promise. And I have to say I don't believe him because Optimus is a fake and auto cab don't work like they say either. Optimus moving so bad and do slow because this is lame technology, and we dont even know how we will communicate with him because we were talking to human operator.
@@Gary-b6b7f pretty fast if you considering the only break required it to possibly recharge. No need for sleep, or to eat, or to even rest. Also, Elon's decry that 8 million humans will want one is akin to Ford's vision for the vehicle. And MY OH MY how that changed our civilization...we're now entering the next grand leap. One day our children's children will read about how we lived before the great technological leap!
I managed to listn to this crap till 0:32. Piloted bot is a uni project and not even final. While boston dynamic bots are already deployed in field and reliable, Melon Husk company is wasting money to produce this crap.
if anyone does ever get those robots, just remember to treat them with kindness, Juuuuuust in case. I don't want a robot uprising because we treated them like crap ^^"
