Excellent addition! From my experience, one unexpected (but welcome!) feature of the 360º stitch is the creation of a rigid edge around the back of the heel counter, instead of the soft, crevice-like shelf of the leather midsole that eventually caves in and traps debris.
Great boot idea. It is almost what I was wishing for 20 years ago. I used to work on industrial boilers, which had very HOT catwalks everywhere. You had to wear gloves to touch the handrails. I needed a boot that was both EH and Fire Rated. But, a sole with large lugs was not compatible with the catwalks. I think Vibram now offers a Fire Rated sole that resembles the 700 V-bar sole. That would have been perfect 20 years ago.
I emailed nicks not too long ago asking about why they don't have an EH rated boot. I'm required to have them for my job and I would love to get these if they test out
I ordered these may 3rd hopefully my feet can get in them soon to enjoy. They really caught my eye when I seen them and I said that is exactly what I'm looking for.
Fantastic! Looked on the website and it wasn't completely obvious if I could get these with a 90° heel- required for my work. Immediate order if I can. I've been waiting for exactly this offering to finally pull the trigger.
How come these boots can't be ordered in chocolate leather? A rich burgundy brown far nicer than the insipid light brown on offer. The darker walnut brown is very nice too.
