YES! I use MAC Studio Fix Powder Foundation in N5 and after I finish all the powders and before I put on mascara, I use a copious amount of Fix + and it turns all those powders into a beautiful glow!

I read that the makeup forever also oxidizes a lot, so you have to get match at the store and wear it for a day to see which color realy fits you!

Honestly, it’s so frustrating I just have to click off. I love the tutorials but just can’t take the hair in the way. I can’t get a good look at what the heck they’re doing and it causes a shadow which makes the whole thing kinda useless. Not sure why this has to be a thing.

Just wanted to say thank you for your straightforward and honest reviews. My skin is similar to yours, somewhat textured and I get super super oily in no time and I ended up buying the L’Oréal Freshwear foundation and it’s become my HG one, so much better than high end ones or other drugstore foundations. I've found that the best way to use powder foundation is to use a hydrating primer (the Hourglass Veil Mineral works well) and then use a large fluffy brush to pat it all over the face (never ever use the sponge that comes with it or a dense brush) and then use setting spray. It'll give you flawless full coverage, blur your pores, last all day (12+ hours on my oily skin) and it'll just look INCREDIBLE. My favorites are the Tarte Amazonian Clay Airbrush Full Coverage Powder Foundation and the Mac Studio Fix+ Powder Foundation. They look like skin and give you everything you want. I still want to try this foundation but with my method of application. (I have the same skin type as you: oily, textured, acne prone, enlarged pores etc.)

P.S. I also don't use concealer under them, I just use a small, slightly dense brush to apply a little extra where I need more coverage.

Yes! This is my thoughts exactly. Bare Minerals loose powder foundation is so pretty too as long as you apply with their kabuki brush but I also love MAC studio fix pressed powder foundation. With a powder brush after I apply with the sponge... but the brush gives it a better finish. A fluffy brush thats medium density. Setting spray is a must. I feel she may have had better results with different application and using her shindinavia setting spray to set powder and control oils.

Hey! So I’ve been using powder foundation for some time now. I usually dust on a translucent powder before I put on my powder foundation. It helps with the pores and oils. N sometime if i have time I’ll use a dry sponge to set the areas where I know I’ll get oily much sooner. And I too use a setting spray at the end to set n melt the powder.

In response to a few of your questions-It’s not terrible but I think you are correct about the color being a bit dark for your skin. I think the brush application makes it look patchy. By the way, you absolutely have beautiful skin to begin with. Yes, I do think it’s oxidized more but it looks pretty good on you. I have used Benefit Hello Flawless powder foundation & Lancôme Dual Finish powder foundation & really liked those. I may have to give this one a try. I also have your NJC Velvet finishing powder & really like it as well. Love watching your reviews.

Yes! The soft side of the sponge is supposed to be for touch ups throughout the day, and the more rubbery side is meant for full coverage application. It’s to keep from over applying during a touch up :)

I bought the color Cloud today at ULTA. I put it immediately. I was wearing Aveeno mineral sunscreen (it's summer in the US) gives me oil and shine (combo skin, oily in the summer, dry in the winter) and this IS amazing! Like you said, 15-20 mins to settle, and it looks SO good. It has that same comfy feel as your powder Nikkia! SO surprised but LOVE IT!

So right now I'm using Maybelline Dream Wonder Powder and Nyx Stay Matte but not Flat powder foundations. I'm mixing them together to get the matching color for my complexion. This covers very similar to your results in this video and I do touch ups during the day using Cover girl translucent powder (it's cheaper than the other 2 because I have a habit of accidentally breaking the compact sometimes during work.) The touch ups basically return my makeup to looking like it's freshly applied. I work in a very hot environment for up to 10 hrs during the summer. On the hottest days the coverage breaks down about 7-8 hrs but honestly it's not bad considering I'm a hot mess by then. I'm going to try this new powder foundation as soon as I can! Maybe it will work better than my mix-n-match concoction 😂

Hey Nikkia, Your skin looks really nice. I could not tell that it oxidized through the day at all. Blotting papers would would well. I love powder foundations and I am oily. I do use powder over top but not much. It held up great on you, not cakey, no settling in fine lines. This is one to try for sure 💕💕💕

A big fluffy powder brush is the easiest method for me to apply powder foundation! I swirl the brush over the top in circular motions until the whole top is covered and press it in for fuller coverage! I use the MAC Mineralized Skinfinish

Just an fyi; in typical powder foundation fashion; it isn't meant to be applied with a damp blending sponge. That would definitely explain the patchiness you said that you experienced on the side on which you partly applied it dry, and then went in with the damp sponge. Also, in my experience, powder foundations are best applied in a buffing motion, in small amounts, and built up to the desired coverage. That is how the pores and texture are blurred. If more pore blurring, etc. is desired , then applying a set down primer(pore filling or otherwise) or even just a set down moisturizer, basically anything that gives the foundation something to grip, helps also. And, I really don't think that this was too dark at all. It seemed to match your neck perfectly. Don't you always match your face to your neck, because of the difference in color? I think it looked really good. Like others have mentioned, I too, have heard great reviews on the FUFE Powder Foundation, in that it leaves a really flawless, velvety finish. That might be worth a review as well.

Hi Nikkia try using buffing motions with the brush, you need to really work powder foundation into the skin. I quite like powder foundations my fav is It cosmetics cc, I find powder foundations do give more of a glow. Not sure if I’ll give this one a go as I didn’t like the born this way setting powder but I did like their liquid foundation 💁‍♀️

I have found that with powder it’s best to really swirl it and work the powder in. I could tell a difference on you with the sponge they provided! It’s looked really pretty! Loved your eye makeup as well!

I love using powder foundation. I always apply the Cover FX blurring primer around the T-Zone. I also use a packed buffing brush to apply much like with mineral powder foundation.

I tried this in Ulta the other day. I recommend trying it with a pore filling primer and the sponge it comes with. That’s what works for me. It looks great on you though.

Your setting powder is amazing! The smell is so wonderful too. My only issue is the packaging. When I went to tap some of the powder out into the lid, the plastic sifter got jammed in the lid. Not knowing that happened when I opened it up, half the powder went into my sink. I cried a little. I thought maybe it was a fluke and I pushed the sifter back in as hard as I could. However, it happened a few more times after that and now I have just given up with the sifter all together. I love the powder and that sifter getting jammed caused over half the product to spill EVERY WHERE!!! The sifter is now in the trash, so I may get the chance to actually enjoy what remains of my setting powder.

If you stipple heavily in the nose crease it will probably fill pores in. Idk about this product exactly, I've just found that to work with the ones I've tried. I'm usually a liquid user, but i find myself reaching for the it cosmetics celebration foundation pretty often. Actually, the heavy stippling goes for the whole face. Otherwise you're just wiping it away.

I’ve been using powder foundations for about 15 years. I started with the body shop powder foundation. I find them so much quicker, easier, less oily and better for acne than liquid foundations.

I would also like to see a review of Matte Velvet Skin Blurring Powder Foundation. I use Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Matte Powder Foundation SPF 10 in shade 1N2 Ecru. I use Revlon Photo Ready Pore Reducing Primer. A small black amoore kabuki brush from Amazon to apply the foundation. And I finish off with a spray of Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water. I'd say I get pretty much full coverage.

I think if you used a pore minimizing primer and a setting spray you would like it more. Please do more videos with powder foundations 🙏 possibly bare minerals loose matte powder foundation? Thank you for great reviews!

It’s my new favorite. It’s extremely hot and humid where I live and I can’t wear liquid foundations anymore because 3 hours in I’m an oil slick, but this one is amazing . It lasts all day and by the end of the day some of the oils seep through but not nearly as much as you’d think (I just look glossy not oily). Plus when I wear it it looks like I’m wearing a liquid foundation because my skin looks hydrated and not powdery at all. I’m buying backups ASAP

We should remember oil control doesn't mean elimination. Too faced Mattifying setting spray helps also! Also glamglow volcanic ash moisturizer is amazing for oily faces! Try combining these.

Hey Nikkia! I actually use your pro perfecting sponges (damp) to apply any powder foundation! Other beauty blenders don’t really work for me so I used to use the little applicator that comes in the bottom of the powder foundation which works for me.. but it does take a lot of product! So I was like meh I’m going to try nikkia a sponges and we’ll.. they work amazing damp! Idk how or why but they are amazing! Just thought I would share my tip :P love your vids girl ❤️

I always think powder foundations look better after a little bit of time has passed...the same as the Bare Minerals one....love it after 20-30 mins. I’m oily too. Thank you for this video. Great job. 👏🏼👏🏼

I got this foundation,, but got it in one shade lighter than I use in the Born this way liquid foundation as I had a feeling the powder foundation would oxidize, especially since I too have oily skin. I definitely did the right thing. Going a shade lighter with the powder foundation saves you from looking orange. I still need to use it a few more times to see how I feel about it as a whole.

Your skin looks gorgeous with that powder foundation. Try a kabuki brush with buffing motions :) And yes, try the Make Up Forever Blurring Powder Foundation. Allie Glines and Kathleen Lights were floored by how awesome it looked :)

I.too did a review and have always hated powder foundation because of my dry skin but holy smokes I was shocked at how airbrushed and flawless my skin looked I did a wear test and splashed water on my face and it did not budge

Hello Joy... I've used MAC Foundation/Powder for years, since I have gotten older I didn't get the coverage like I use too. And it seemed to oxidize I looked a hot mess LOL... But what I did after my primer I use a setting powder first and lightly use setting spray, apply the MAC, kept my oil control longer when I started to shine i reapply the setting powder follow with the MAC again, I'm going to try this 2 Face i'm using foundation it takes longer to apply versus the powder. You don't know how happy I would be if this 2 Face works, I love the concealer by 2 Face the best I ever had Thank you for showing this and that color looked Fabulous on You!. Thanks. Again

I also bought your products and OMG PEOPLE TRY HER LOSE POWER, works AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFULLY on my normal to dry textured to high heaven skin. Not blowing smoke up anybodies butt either. It’s seriously soooooo good like silk . Lashes are good to, I obviously wear the style Melanie lol they were made for me.
