Own this bike for over 7 month now. Still amazes me every time I ride it . Such an amazing bike . 👍👍👍 Only critic . No cruise control even as optional.
Touring=long distance=needs cruise control!!! I think you guys did an incredible job on the design though! I'm a huge fan of the Triumph brand!!! Keep up the good work (don't forget cruise control)
Interesting! Seems a good competitor to the Kawasaki Versys 650, which I loved. But, I am waiting, more, for the Adventure version of this, to compete with the Yamaha Tenere 700.
I have a Tiger800 Road 2012. Love it to death. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-07ajgPk4xHQ.html But I don't ever see how a Triple is going to rock out on a Twin of any kind for a primary dirt ride. That being said I love the fact that there is a new middle weight class again. I had a 550ES Suzuki in the 80's and 5-600cc were middle weight bikes. Now it's 900 and shit. That's bullshit.
Just what I’ve been looking for! Great to see a mid size touring bike with a sport/ road focus from Triumph. For me I never want to ride off road but like the riding position and ergonomics of an adventure bike. I’m not interested in litre bikes either(done that), but it will still have more than the performance most people will need. The bike looks good too! Cheers 🙂
Dont be too excited, I dont think Triumph will make one. They will have the GT series for the larger Tiger 1200 to cover that class. Companies are trying to revive the big sport touring class. Let see
off road capability for a country like India matters a lot. Upswept exhaust too is needed if you gonna do water crossings. Instead of road based tires we can have dual purpose tires 70-30 (Road/off-road). Still this looks really good and checks quite a few boxes. Great work Triumph.
This bike looks way different from the others, in terms of design and for the adjustable wind screen that's an excellent option. Loved the colours, i think the graphics could have been a little more sportier like the 900. Overall, Triumph is wining it.
I miss a Tiger Sport 1200 RS as Crossover. That would be mine. I don't need offroad, but a comfortable onroad bike with power and good for longer trips. Hope it will be released next 😅
Definitely agree, Despite owning a Tiger 1050 & other Trumpies, I do not want a GS copy ADV ! FFS where is the big Triumph Sport Tourer ??? A proper road bike 17" wheels full fat high horsepower chain driven 1200 Speedie RS motor ? A 1200 Tiger Sport or 1200 Sprint RS please ? I feel I will need to swap my Triumphs for Kawasaki, Suzuki or Honda 😱
Prices in Austria: Versys 650 (2021): starting at € 8199,- Tiger Sport 660: starting at € 9895,- If you don't need a triple engine and the electronic stuff ->Versys But i really like the looks of the Tiger Sport 660 - and it's nice to see some competition in this underrated class of motorcycles
Is it strange that I like the prototype wrap more than any of the production colors? For the record, Triumph, if I can get that with the matching panniers, I will buy one. I'm serious.
Yip you would think by now after all the negative comments about lop sided front lights, manufacturers would of got the message and quit doing it. Oh well, such a shame.
This has been a long time coming! Looking forward to seeing Triumph's response to the Kawasaki Versys, the Tracer 7 and to a different degree, the Suzuki V-Strom. The problem is that with Triumph, the price might actually place it in competition with the Tracer 9, with which it really couldn't compete performance wise. So price will be key. I have no doubt about how much fun this bike will be. The different ADV bikes out there are simply among the best all around motorcycles ever made.
Hope you guyz send it to Turkey as 649 cc. Because of the yearly tax. Here in Turkey for 2021 we pay under 649 cc about the 400 Turkish Lira per year, abowe the 650 cc we pay about the 1000 Turkish Lira per year. Im belive more difference in 2022. Its really big point for desicion. I really dont want to pay yearly tax more than twice just for 11 more cc.
Triumph Motorcycles you should give cooled ventilated seats in your tiger range because after 15 minutes our butts becomes heated and numb so you should do some research and development on this project.
They sinned on the Tiger 660 Sport in the points that make a total difference for the brand. The bike's foot rest is not made of aluminum like the 900 or the speed RS, the panel is much simpler (very much so) and they left the cabling super exposed. I would have other comments but these were the most critical.
I have a versys 650 which I love but want a more premium version of it and I think triumph have nailed it. Lighter, more powerful, more premium and sexy. I need one 😛
I hope this is good. I have two wishes, that it's taller than the Trident and they changed the throttle response. That's all. If they do, it'll be perfect for me, and a lot more people.
@God Of God's I think you misunderstood. As this is built on the Trident 660 platform, I was hoping higher seat height and ground clearance. The Trident 660 is quite low for me, and I'm 5'6".
Tried one and it looks like the gears are too short for a bike that will likely be used for travel. I found the engine very busy at highway speed, reducing the overall confort on long rides. In my humble opinion, a final drive around 16/45 instead of the original 16/51 would be enough to keep good level of acceleration and a relaxed engine speed at highways. If you look at the flat curve of this torquey engine, that makes even more sense.
Looks nice but would love to see a new version of the 1050 sport. I currently own a 2014 1050 sport and love it, good blend of power, performance and comfort.
if it had cruise control I would be selling all I have got and my tracer 700 for that bike straight away... a lot of nice tech features!!! but that cruise controll would be aaaa proper deal breaker.. since it already has ride by wire... :D
@@steffenreiser8769 if you never missed one means you dont do long distance riding and you dont need cruise control :) the ability to rest your hand on a motorway on a long trip is appreciated. its like one of those things you didnt know you needed when you didnt have it. Just like heated grips. Dont use them all the time but when time comes, youd be glad to have them
@@emilsoberbro36 @EmilKunda i try to avoid riding on highways or motorways. I prefer the small countryroads in Central Europe and the Alpine Mountains. So I did not feel the for Cruise Control... :-)
My height is 5 foot 9 inches, may another half inch with shoes. if I try this bike, can my both feet touch ground comfortably? I know, I'm a short guy for Tiger 800. Hoping for triumph to offer lowered seat position for Indian customers. 835mm seems pretty high, hope they offer 810-820mm for Indian customers.
