We all wanted a Daytona 1200. We got a jumped up Thruxton without the character. I don't feel 170bhp is in keeping with the ethos of a traditional cafe racer at all.
178BHP and when's the last time you used that kind of power for the road. I'm trading my Speed Triple 1050 RS for it and it will also accompany my RSV4 dedicated track bike to the track as a backup bike.
Did We... what you mean another 200 hp torture device (Pani V4, RSV4, Blade, S1000RR) that is heavily compromised on the road, very expensive to own and run and with performance that nobody outside a Superbike racer can actually use, look at the actual sales figures of these bikes and you can see why Triumph wanted something more accessible and not another £20k + "Top Trumps" machine. Looks to me like Triumph have done it again and made a really nice road bike, that'll be be better than 99% of us can use on track.
Absolutely fantastic !! I would prefer a daytona 765 (or 1200) but this cafe racer looks fabulous. Very distinctive from the concurrence, good job Triumph 👍
Literally just, paint, half fairing, higher spec tyres, electronic suspension. The half fairing and ES are nice but cmon, we all wanted a full faired bike and maybe some other things like an even more powerful exhaust from Akra or something
Was hoping this would sway me from trading my rs on a Tuono factory but cant say I like the front. If they put the electronic suspension into the rs though…..
Can`t fault this bike, or what triumph /bloor has acheived ,awesome ! i just wish the RR had a sister Vee Twin with the same spec and as bulletproof a motor ( only in a black /titanium livery,) over to you MR Bloor, show norton what a british bike can be !!!
The first impression is almost positive but the more I watch the details the more I feel something is wrong...the fairing is a remainder of the MV Superveloce with a very fascinating led. All the superstructure looks like they have landed on a sport frame. Far far away from a cafe' racer. Definitely not my next bike!
The look reminds me of Superveloce which I love, minus the tail hump, and the full fairing. I don't like the fact that they have emulated the MV. Otherwise seems like an amazing bike. Other Than that, I do love the fact they finally put a big motor in a sport type bike.

The retro design is cool, except, the can blocks much the rear wheel thö. How do you get the rear wheel off, take off the can 1st then the wheel? This vs. the Tuono? V4 please.....
Variable Geometry is the next thing, would work for this type of bike a treat. Have the handlebars on guide rails and drive them to different positions with steppers or something, same for the foot pegs and front screen. So you can have an upright positions, touring position or at the touch of a button drop the handlebars, raise the pegs, rotate the screen into a lower position and have a sporty riding position.
Approx 18.3L Rupees if converted in Indian currency. Definitely, it'll cross the 20L mark on-road and with all the add-on accessories it'll be somewhat close to 25L(obviously aftermarket exhaust included) :-)
Hope this one to be EPIC ! I bet it will be exclusive and expensive even if I can’t afford to buy it, great manufacturers need to make this kind of statement every now and then !
As i readed we all wanted a Daytona 1200... the fairing in the front looks unfinished for me. The overall bike looks unfinished... its like beeing in the middle of a Sport Tourer and a Sports bike. It doesn't feel in the look as premium as the speed 1200RS it feels like there is a "speed 1200 RRR" after this one talking ONLY about the looks. I understand that the power of the speed 1200 was asking for this rideing position to be more "sporty" and easy to handle and its a good idea but i think that with this incredible engine what we really need is a Daytona 1200. A cheap one and a expensive one(top end stuff like semi active suspension). This Speed 1200 RR wont be selling more than the Speed 1200 RS. A Daytona 1200 would be a best seller. And yes, you have to at least cap it to 190-200hp for the Daytona 1200(more rpm, and better cooling i guess). Cuz ppl will always look at the numbers... But we all know that Triumph numbers on paper always go like %10 more than other bike numbers usually. But for Marketing porpuses you need that 190-200 hp cap. I would love to read an answer.
Triumph should make a version of this with there trident 660 platform and put it up against the r7 with the electronics and bliper of the 660 it will kill the r7 in the entry level sports bike market it would be a perfect bike for a weekend track toy for those of us with modest means.

So say we all. This with a 660 for commuting and day to day (and half the price) would be a killer.
If I remember correctly Triumph told us at the launch of the RS that there would not be any other version of this bike, yet here we are looking at another version. I wonder how many people who bought the RS are now furious with Triumph for lying in the first place because they could have had the RR if they hadn't already spent their money!!
My dream was to see a triple cylinder thruxton. It's not what I was expecting, but its a pretty bike. I feel that I like it, but I also feel that something is missing. Maybe more fairings (I dont rly like the engine design). I dont know. Still confused. Not sure if I buy a Thruxton (but I dont like 2 cylinders), wait for the new Daytona, or pick that one, because now I know a Thruxton Triple will never come to the market. Help me god. But I love that retro feel that this bike has. Like the superveloce oro (prettiest bike on the market right now)
The front resembles the Yamaha TR3. Old school look. Neutral Expressions. Mostly the world is more driven towards the looks. So, preferable people would try and modify even if the buy..
well shes kinda purdy! i do miss the bug eyed head lights and its kind of hard to get the sound cuz of the music over it (triples make their own music). but its quite sexy and looks like a beast. cant wait to test ride on. though, i do wich it came in black and green. i think it would be really nasty looking in black.
THANK GOD! They’ve finally moved away from that bloody wasp look. Not the only culprits, kawa*cough*. This bike looks epic! Sleek and powerful, what else could you want… oh yeh, every other bell and whistle available. Perfect.
Too expensive for what it is... I love Triumph, I have owned 8 of them and have a 2020 Street RS and Bobber 1200 Black in the garage at the moment... but this bike is $24k out the door in the US. That's crazy. I recently picked up both a new ZX6R ABS KRT Edition *and* a 2020 Z900 RS for that price...
@@chirag4 Yeah... Maybe they will put out a base model next year... I don't need $4k worth of electronic suspension. Just put on some quality manual parts and let me set it and forget it... The newly updated Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 is $15,900 and is a hell of a bargain. Has all the same power and electronics as the Triumph, but it's 5 grand cheaper.
Super veloce- inspired. i'm sure it's as fast AF and has admirable handling traits etc (sounds marvelous and mysterious), but it deserves its very own unique look, for being such unique bike. Esp since the OG Speed Triples have a distinctive, immediately identifiable look that has been nurtured and maintained for ages... I do hope the chief designer is given a dressing-down by the CEO. This isn't progress in the right direction.
I would prefer a BMW S1000RR M sport with carbon wheels and fully customisable electronics. Probably more comfortable as well and looks far nicer or the SDR 3.0 which has much more soul.
They need to go more Exotic with the engine to warrant that price! It may be a proven engine, but it's not on the level of Ducati, Aprilia...evolve that engine Triumph!
The New Daytona Moto 765 Limited Edition was not available in India, and now Speed Triple 1200 RR will not be made available to India. Why Triumph? Why? You know it, Triumph has a huge fan following in INDIA, then why you are keeping Indians deprived from their Love. Please Launch it....It is a request....Please!!
Not sure on the looks, I own an RS mainly cause I found sportsbikes too uncomfortable (age🙄) so doesn’t appeal… be good to see what the (non bias) reviews say
I wish I could like everything about this new Triumph Speed Triple RR. But, did not like it's front look. Do something about round shaped Head Light or change the name to something where "RR" doesn't exist.
I am a big Triumph fan, ( I own two ) the bike looks amazing and it was all looking great, until they said what the price was. Far to expensive, what a shame.
