Great to see you are back! Thanks again for the advice with the motor mounts. Went ahead and installed them myself on my 10ae and I absolutely love them. In my opinion, they are purely better based on design and I didnt have to do any modification to fit them. They are snug with the motor mount cup/plates and like you advised, I only had to get the right hardware for them!

I love the gtx series from Garrett I have a gtx2860 on my 2013 Elantra sick sounding turbo it has about 13000 miles on it still no shaft play

Did you ever install this in your miata? I got this same turbo pretty cheap, and I keep reading online the lag is really bad due to it being too large for our engines. Just wondered if you noticed that as well in your setup.

Hey mate thanks for the video, very informative. Hey are you still running this turbo? Thinking about ordering one for my sr20det but have heard mixed reviews from twisted motion. Is this turbo still running? How much power did it make? what is the spool like?

The power is good but I haven’t dynoed it yet. It’s slower spoiling for sure. I think I can help it with a 3” exhaust, currently with 2.5”, but spools way slower than the 2554 garret I had, no surprise tho. Honestly, I think I should have saved up my money and just gone with Borg Warner EFR unit (1200.00 )

How was your overall experience with this turbo performance/reliability-wise ? Seems like some people on youtube slander Twisted Motion for being nothing more than chinese ebay turbos but it would be interesting to hear from someone who actually has one ...

It’s fine. It spools later than I like, but produces great power 4K thru 7k rpm. Horrible cheap actuator comes with it, so I’m replacing mine with a turbo smart unit. I believe twisted motion rebuilds these using better bearings and billet wheel, then rebalances it.

They are eBay turbos at a higher price. I would avoid if I were you.

these guys dont get back to me, im trying to get something similar to the bnr s5 for my mazdaspeed 3 stock block.not looking for crazy numbers but yea.
