I just picked up my MY24 GT Line yesterday. It is a fantastic car in all respects. But the fact that you have to turn off the inccessant speed limit warning everytime you start the car is maddening. It could be easily solved with a software update. Such an inexplicable own goal from Kia. Don't regret the purchase though. Wonderful car, with the interior and extrior even better than before.
Majority of the sale are GT-line diesel. We've got the pre facelift Sorento and before that the Santa Fe Highlander. The diesel suits these cars perfectly.
What they arent telling you is, that engine takes 0W30. It's extremely expensive. The dealer in my area is charging about $250 for a damn oil change. Absolutely ridiculous. Plus I have a friend who works for that dealer and says they aren't even actually putting in 0w30. They're putting in 0w20 and telling people it's the 30. Because they don't want to stock the 0w30 for like 10 cars. Cause it's just the 2023 and 2024 sorento (so far) that takes it
I had a look at the 2024 model and I don’t like the flat screens against the 2023 model with the cockpit dome dash, I bought the 2023 model and absolutely love it 👌👍👍
Thanks for another insightful review. I can’t wait to see your comparison of the new generation Kodiaq v new generation Santa Fe v facelift Sorento. I have a 2021 Kodiaq Sportline that needs replacing this year.
I think current (2024) vRS Kodiaq is the smart money. More sophisticated suspension and steering than your model year, and better infotainment software and drive mode tuning, plus a golf GTI engine. Too expensive though, so maybe an ex demo in two years lol
I know sorento does not come in brown interior in Australian market but just for my knowledge is black interior or brown interior is better in general ?
i would buy the petrol more refined and it would take years to make up the extra upfront cost in fuel savings and that's if diesel doesn't go back to 40/70cpl more then petrol also modern diesel engines/emissions systems hate short drives 30km a day so 15 each way wouldn't burn off the DPF
the 2.2L diesel is an unrefined shitbox of an engine sounds like a a 10 year old isuzu truck engine and drives like one would also love to see some real world emissions data on them as every santa fe CRDI i see has a massive soot stain running halfway up the tail gate i bet that's why kia went with the tailpipe facing down to the road the sooner it's dead the better new santa fe has no diesel lets see that trend run through the hyundai kia range bring on euro6 340 days to go that should put an end to a lot of garbage diesel engines good to see the LC70 series gutless V8 is gone as well
@@word1901 that was my understanding but yes maybe they weren't working particularly well! I thought I read somewhere that they had an exemption being an older engine or something. I know the pajero did.
