This is a cup game in the Southport and District League. The ground looked in excellent condition but like all early-season games this year was pretty soft underneath.
There are more games on the way and these will feature Ormskirk, Sefton Park and today's team Halsall West End.
Ormskirk are a Premier Division team, Sefton Park now play in Division 1 and Halsall effectively in the fourth tier.
