Why talk about albums already flooding the market or multiple releases by groups that never sold. So, out of 300 or so releases, we actually heard about eight. Not good.
Hi Nick, I’m from across the water but love to see your posts each week. It gives me some great ideas of what to listen to from a US grassroots basis. I like the fact that you include less well known bands (well from a UK point of view) as well as the multi million dollar 💵 selling bands. In the UK, this week, we saw Paul Weller releasing “66”, which marks his 66th birthday on the 25th May. There are a number of well known collaborators including Noel Gallagher, Billy Gillespie, Suggs and Richard Hawley. Interestingly it also has Say She She on there. A New York trio of ladies who i am really getting in to at the moment. I’d love to hear what you think of the album. I know Paul never cracked America but I’d be really interested in your thoughts.
Will go for Kravitz this weekend. Mite pick up Bowie's Diamond Dogs 🐕... I'm bit iffy on these Half Speed Masters. Aladdin Sane was a meh for me Half Speed.
Yeah, I tend to wait and read reviews before I pick up any of those half speed mastered releases. It seems more like a sales gimmick to me than anything that really improves the sound quality of the album.
I am a fan of Creed. Fortunately, when I saw them in concert, they kicked ass. Scott Stapp was sober and OnPoint. When I found out the greatest hits was edited I was pissed! I wish I had known before I bought it. Seether has a compilation called…”Vicennial 2 Decades of Seether.” No editing, and sounds great. So I really would like to know who makes the call.
