I agree with some of the pros and cons listed but I have to disagree on one thing - this car is so much more of a boss choice than a Bentayga.

Harry Bought one today as a retirement present for myself and my wife. We have been an item since a school dance in 1972. We are looking forward to many miles together and Europe post Covid.

Mine has a chrome grille and an extra 100nm torque and called Arnage T. You can also see the flying B on the bonnet, and a better looking boot. Just saying to try and boost second hand values !

It’s the sort of car when you finish your drive and pull up on the driveway, you switch off the engine and then just sit there 😁

Your car and farm videos form some of the few bright spots in these dreary times. Another great video, Harry! Agree with you re radiator grill, not just in terms of material, but also in design. Bland. Where is the Bentley heritage? Compare RR and its approach to radiator presence.

Enjoyable video as ever Harry. One thing that the light colour of the test car highlighted for me,and I hadn't really noticed before, is how relatively short the front overhang is thanks to pushing the front axle forward on the new platform. Obviously has the benefit of putting more of the engine behind the axle line too by default. You are correct though, despite being a massively excellent piece of engineering, is it really in tune now with todays mood (even pre CV19) ? Interesting times indeed !

Whoever here is going to buy a flying spur, please untick the black package! Chrome is the way to go with any ultra luxury car🔥

Yes! A new Harry's Garage video. All is well in my world This is the one car I've really wanted see Harry review. Always been a fan of the new Continental series from Bentley and the flying spur is to me the pinnacle. Black line spec is horrid though, luxo barges need chrome.

The rear does remind me of the 1st generation vw pheaton

What a great, natural and interesting review-well done

My favourite Bentley, and perhaps my favourite car ever. I absolutely love this beast. Probably the only car I would take over the Mercedes-Benz S-Class S650, which I have driven. The Bentley Continental GT Coupé is not really for me. I can get over the looks for sure. I prioritize the feel, luxury, and drive of any car over its looks. I wish I could rent and live with it for a few weeks, at least. I certainly can get use to the large pillars. My C-Class kinda has giant pillars too and so did an older Merc SUV I had. I am in-love with this Bentley and it seems like a joy to drive and sit in. Very luxurious. Cheers, Harry. Stay safe.

Positives - Huge headroom, Quiet, Comfortable, Understated elegant looks, Great Wheels, Reliable. Negatives - 15 pounds Mascot, 20 pounds plastic Grille , large B pillars. Whatever car those negatives were on , would cause me not to buy the car. Bentley charge the customer 2000 pounds more put a metal grille. Redesign the flying B, it looks like 1970's junk.

I find the aluminium construction point interesting Harry. The Audi A8 doesn't really have such features despite sharing a similar construction. I wonder whether this chassis is considerably stiffer than the A8.

So glad it's got the twin glass roof, otherwise i think - despite the size, that the interior would feel a little claustrophobic with those small windows. The glass in the roof evens the whole lot out very nicely. That interior is stunning, i love the chrome trims on everything.

I love the color/trim/wheels combo...what a beast! I would buy one in a second.

As much as I love the Continental GT coupe, I just can't warm up to the Flying Spur.

Harry, the rear end of this car reminds me ever so much of my VW Phaeton. No surprise really as they are almost one and the same company.

Well, another great review, also I now understand why you use that B road for your test runs. I live the other side of Wootton Bassett, and while out for a drive to stretch my car's legs, I found myself driving into Lechlade, and thought, "could I found the road?", so in my Jaguar XE (not a project 8, big shame, very envious😁) I have driven it and can see why you use.. Love the reviews and road trips, subscribed to both channels. 👍🏼

Shame about the Mulsanne, honestly I had been very impressed with the new refresh before that.

Love the front but haven’t been a fan of the rear, prefer the Mulsanne’s rear but overall it’s a good looking car. I’d compare it to the Ghost and compare the Mulsanne to the Phantom VIII, this vehicle in my opinion is a blend between a car that you could be chauffeured in and one you can drive as well and they’ve done a great job.

Just loved the aluminium intel you gave in such a relaxed way. I love this cars but other than my Mulsanne WO Mulliner Edition I always go out in the Klassen: all the luxury and none of the fuss.

Love your channel , cars are amazing but I love looking at the scenery from home. Can't believe I get excited to see Witney Waitrose car park.. Brilliant channel for a home sick car nut 😂

Great review of a great car. I think it looks stunning from the front and side. The rear looks good but I'd say it's the least attractive side of it. The interior is probably the best and most beautiful in the industry. The view out is what disappoints me. I cannot believe the size of that B pillar, compromising access and visibility in an otherwise perfect car! I kinda disagree with you slightly on the engine. I think that engine suits the car perfectly and gives it plenty of effortless performance. This car will never be a rational purchase, it's an ultra-luxury item, and fuel economy isn't a very concerning factor in this specific market. Especially at that price point, there definitely won't be enough of them anyway to create any kind of damage to the environment.

Very informative, as always. I liked it's refined roar, I hated the blind spot inducing pillar. If I wanted to enter this market, I'd still be looking at the black badge Roller you reviewed and took through the Alps.

Years ago i had a 1992 cavalier gsi, there was a light trim around the sunvisor mirror, looks so much more classy than lights above them.

Aside from the lighting, the exterior styling actually reminds me of the Volvo S90.

The back of the car is horrible in my opinion, they should have made it more like the Continental coupé.

What a week we've had: Iain on Thursday and Harry on Friday. Excellent! Surprised that the cool rotating screen isn't standard, I thought it was! Agree with you, it's a must to finish off the best cabin of the automotive world... Looks are subjective, but there's no denying the exquisite finish and the perfect fit of every component. And yes, it's kind of an answer to a question nobody was asking, this car. I'd rather have the Continental.

I drove one last week and it was beautiful! Much better than rivals which I’ve also driven.
