Here you will see Miguel & Darrell from the CR&R crew on ex-Newport truck 5026, numbered 6758. Darrell's normal truck is 6756, or what used to be 5021. But it had been in the shop for some time as it was getting its tippers installed. You'll see them on their Friday route collecting old garbage cans that residents no longer wanted. This was one week after the area went automated, and the rollout took place after all the trash was collected that week. So almost every house had old cans to throw away. The trash is sorted for recyclables at a material recovery facility - all cans & lids were recycled along with any other recyclables found in the trash. Comment, rate, and enjoy.
