@@rickburkes4485 sadly there isn’t any place to ride them in Ct or ri unless it’s private land. I usually go to Maine 3-4 times a year to ride

Yeah, but gears > belt. Its all preference really, yxz just feels like a rally car to me.

When did yamaha start turboing these? Not sure ive seen a favtory turbo on any yxz

Just went back to stock bighorns. See if they rub.

Wedge a 5 gallon bucket between the top of the tire and the bottom of the flare and then take a heat gun and shape the flare to the the bucket. After I did this cleared 31's with no rubbing and the same flares.

They are a lot of fun to drive. Even on regular easy trails the shifting adds so much to the experience.

That was my first SXS was a 2016 YXZ, it was a cool machine but I can’t believe you let the X3 go. Did it break? I will say I loved having a Clutch, actually got it brand new in 2017 for only 12,800 bucks. We bought 3 or 4 at Romney.

X3 was still a solid unit with 3700 miles. Market was up and I had no time to ride so let it go. When it came time for another one I also wanted an Atv so yxz was a cheaper option. Love the shifting tho. I also had a 16 clutch model before the x3.

Too much work and not enough play!!

We ran some back roads and Merritt said he could half throttle it and pull on me. Ima put some stock tires on and we will line em up. I’m still calling it 22 lengths 😂

I love the sound, the shifting and it doesn’t have a squeak or rattle one at 3100 miles. Original bushings wheels bearings and everything. Build quality is great compared to some others.

He’s probably showing his buddies the videos saying look what this thing can do 😂

Big fan of the yxz. Love the shifting. X3 has a smoother ride and tons more power tho. Only have two rides on the paddle shift and it’s growing on me. All out fun I’d say manual. The paddle shift is less work for those cruising trail rides tho. A turbo kit with 200-215 hp on the yxz would be hands down my favorite ride I believe. Might be a future project if I can make it happen.

@@WvTrailN No, you stopped and let our group by, but it was easier for me to let you by then sneak by you. My buddy was leading the pack with a white pro XP, then a renegade 1000xxc, Outlander, then me in a X3 RC. Next time we'll do that for sure! Were you shooting any video or just breaking in the new unit?

They all have their own good attributes. Sometimes I'd like the option to downshift my x3 lol especially around 20mph at 5000 RPM

No. I liked it a lot but looking for another sport quad.

X3 is smoother at speed and tons more power. Turbo will do that 😂. Minus that I really like the Yxz. It’s more fun to drive in the trails but don’t think it’ll be as capable as the x3.

The x3 has WAY more power and handles better. I love The shifting on the yxz. It Makes every trail fun for me. I adjusted the shocks some on the Yxz to try to remove some of the body roll. I also removed the bfg tires after one ride and Went back to 29” bighorns. So hopefully on ride #2 I’ll have a little more power and better handling. I think a turbo would make the yxz A blast to drive.
