In my honest opinion what you said keep the truck what is like a farm work truck keep it simple and classy, I love set up of the wheels and tires looks super clean. are you thinking doing a fifth wheel hitch for a gooseneck trailer or anything like that.

Yeah most likely, the farm just bought a new F450 for the major grunt work but I plan to throw in a gooseneck hitch for the occasional use case.

Just bought the same truck with a 3-in leveling kit in the front, people are saying I need new A arms because they are at their limit? Any advice? Thanks

Yeah good question. In this video I show that my upper control arms are almost touching the bump stops directly underneath them when the truck is on level ground, I couldn’t even fit one finger between them. If you drive over any bumps or offroad at all as the suspension cylces down the UCA will drop and hit the bump stop, which will make for a harsh ride for you. Different aftermarket companies make control arms that are not flat like the OEM version, so that you have much more clearance between the UCA and the stop. They also change the geometry so that in a leveled application the ball joint is resting closer to the center of its range vs being cocked to the side due to the angle of the UCA. I personally went with Kryptonite UCAs for this truck. I now have about 2” of clearance between the UCA and the bumpstop and almost perfectly centered balljoints.

@@FixedVaneDuramax I appreciate the quick response, I forgot to say I was going to get some 22x12 with 33s. Basically the TIS 544s 22x12 . I've noticed aftermarket a arms for a 2 to 4-in lift. So that would work out? No need for a quick response like tonight but definitely appreciate you getting back.

Some companies have UCAs that are specific for their lift kits so be careful of that but as a whole yes that would work. Here is what I have, that I know would work for your application as I am essentially doing exactly where you are. dmaxstore.com/products/kryptonite-upper-control-arms-2011-2019
