Would like to see PPSK on Unifi devices! A really great feature!!! That would help me with many IoT devices in multiple networks 👌

Hey Cody in your available ssid's what is the ssid wifi6e-control? It that related to Unifi U6 Enterpirse? and is there a way to change that, I've seen it at one of my clients.

Having the Multi SSID password is REALLY nice! Security wise, less clutter airwaves wise, you briefly touched on it that others have this? Is there any word from others supporting or starting to do this too ( Ubiquity, TP link, or regular routers)?

So will this need a standalone router/ firewall or does the access point have this functionality built in

OMG this is awesome AP, the fact you don’t need multiple SSID per network is a game changer!

Good simple clean video Cody. Bummer to see only a single 1g Poe port on both models.

The product is okay, could really use local controller but shame not 2.5Gb ports that should be the norm now

I have a question @MactelecomNetworks when ubiquiti sends you some product u need to pay for it or they will give it to you for free?

I like the option of turning off the device if you loose internet. This is a big issue for my mobile phone and off site works. They are still connected to the Wi-Fi but reach the Internet. They are not reaching local resources and turn off the Wi-Fi makes devices use their cellular connection. Or maybe I hate hearing Wi-Fi is broken, we have Wi-Fi but my email hasn’t updated since this morning.

I'm really curious how this AP would show in the UI environment if connected to a UI switch.
@MactelecomNetworks
@MactelecomNetworks Год назад
Well these were connected to Unifi switches :) Alta doesn’t currently have switches in the market yet
@visualoddity
@visualoddity Год назад
@@MactelecomNetworks I meant, does the UI interface, such as the topology and/or device list, show these APs accurately (or at all)? I have an armature Uqiquiti network at home with a few APs, and I once connected a 5-port Netgear switch to see what would happen. Everything worked as expected, but from the UI interface perspective, it was basically invisible.
@JacksonCampbell

Doesn't appear they sell to the general public. Most of their suppliers are wholesale to installers only.

I wonder if these can be meshed? I like the ease of use for the UI, but if you have to run a cable for every AP from the switch, then it's no different than say Unifi or Omada, although you can set up APs in Unifi to be meshed.
@jeff-hansen
@jeff-hansen Год назад
Yes, they will mesh automatically. You can mesh the device before you've even set it up, too.
