The first camera delivery of 2019 - a bulk box of retro compact cameras.
Over the next couple of months, I'm going to leave my DSLR on the shelf and try to use these unloved imaging taking relics to see if we can still take any pictures worth hanging on the wall today.
So, join me on this journey into the pixelated ddelight as we venture through the digital noise of the ancient compact camera.

The talent behind the lens of a vintage digital point and shoot camera will determine the outcome when it comes to the comparison. A photographer of average talent and skill can create an image as opposed to just a snapshot regardless of what tool is in his or her hands. The photographer certainly has control of the things they photograph - some of these retro point and shoot cameras are technically very limited though - the MX1200 for example has fixed aperture and ISO, meaning the only way to have any control over it is via exposure compensation, so the results will be interesting.

I too have an interest in shooting with these old digital cameras. I picked up a Niton 3200 from a charity shop recently and had fun shooting with it on one of my walks. Used within its limitations I can get good 6x4 prints on my selphy printer. I would be interested in seeing your experiences with this camera haul.

Good spot - I bought an A420 many years ago and was impressed by its macro ability. I'm not sure these are reviews as such, more someone just having fun with old cameras :)
