New York Dessert Tour! Milk Bar, Levain Bakery & More! The Best Sweets in NYC | Cupcake Jemma

WE'RE IN NEW YORK! This trip hasn't panned out quite as we had hoped due to me herniating a disc the day after we arrived. It means that I've had to spend the majority of the time in bed rather than exploring all the delicious treats the city has on offer. Luckily I brought along my trusty cake obsessed side kick, Sally and camera whizz kid Sam. I sent them both off into the heart of New York to hunt out the very best cakes, cookies, doughnuts, cheesecakes and ice creams that they could find. And don't worry, I also gave them strict instructions to bring it all back for me too!

Please please please go to Wafels & Dinges!!! They’re seriously amazing and you’ll probably walk right by one while you’re in the city. My fav is nutella and strawberry but the throwdown is so good as well. I promise you won’t be disappointed!

I just came back from nyc flagship milk bar and I have to say how surprised I was at how much I hated it. Everything was SUPER sweet like nauseating so. It was worse than e eating a spoonful of sugar. And everything was so heavy. Like thick and tense like there was too much butter. To be clear, I tried 2 Cookies, the strawberry short cake, 4 different cake balls, and the ice cream. I thought I had to like one thing. But no. I was so disgusted and nauseated after the experience. My bf and I shared a small ice cream cup and over half went to the trash. He felt so sick after eating it. It was just an over all disappointing experience. I was so excited too. This is sadly just overhyped and over sweetened . Not worth it at all. 😢

Yay! I learned about Christina Tosi from a programme and it was amazing. Her naked cakes and obviously the cereal milk. She apparently makes the milk and sells it too 😍😍 I need to go to NY now. Doughnut Plant is the absolute best doughnut place in NYC! For ice cream, Morgensterns was a great choice but I also love Ice and Vice, Ample Hills, or Caffe Panna! And one of my favorite cute bakeries is Mah-Ze-Dahr Bakery! I hope Jemma feels better!

How do you eat so many sweets in one day for these videos?? :o or do you only eat a couple bites of each treat? Great job, I used to live in nyc and it was exciting to see the places I've been featured here. I'm more of a cupcake gal than any other kind of treat, but I've LOVED this series and hope you guys do more even if they're not necessarily things I'd eat!!!
