can you guys just imagine if Letang played his career as a winger with Crosby? His hands are waaaay too good (and his defensive instinct the past 3 seasons way too poor) for him to be playing defense imo
letang is a great defenseman, he’s a first line defenseman for a reason. he makes a lot of great plays and is a smart hockey player. his saves make up for his mistakes. take him out of the lineup and the penguins would have struggled immensely.
@Wild Card Nation some penguins fans still think this is letang of 2016 and clearly refuse to admit his defensive game has slipped immensely the past three years.... and I never said take him out of the lineup I said play him as a forward, he’s always pinching and going deep he clearly wants to be a forward. And they’ve also had malkin anchor the point at the power play, just because letang is a forward in the lineup doesn’t mean he can’t play the point on a power play.
