@I_360_No_scoped_JFK actually our Maori culture isn't well preserved as other cultures are. We are slowly diminishing in our tikanga and whakapapa. Our Maori people have turned to westernized aspects more so now then that of other indigenous countries.

@@ethangeorge277 Yeah, the history of native american with the US government was pretty brutal. From the death march, abduction of native american kid's only to be sent to the white family as an adoptive and native boarding school. US even have history of sending a blanket from hospital to the native american to spread disseass which is working as even to this day many American historian admit that the diseass brought by this early settler was the major reason of native american kept deacreas and not to mention they kept calling native american as barbaric and take their land, even after all that kept depicting them on public as uncivilized barbaric and vicious tribe at that time while native american is the one who teach this european settler how to plant in American and to survive even the Thanksgiving doesn't end well for them. Some American historian even said at how bad US, that the US never make an official appologize or something significant but still proudly used the Native culture for economic benefit and image and keep telling the world about the human right not realizing their own problem.

I'm Australian born and bred, but New Zealand has a much better national anthem, whether it's sung in English or Maori. And it's not hypocritical like our is.

Second thought please before you react to it I suggest you learn more about the Haka and why it is performed so that you can connect to it's orign and it's meaning while react to it you have a better understanding of it and I also i think that it will bring out the best reaction from it so the video is "Haka Documentary We Belong Here Beats By Dre" thanks😊

The first language is Māori, then obviously English and they would usually have someone do it in sign language too, as they are New Zealand/ Aotearoas 3 national languages!!

Kia Ora. My name is Ranginui.. I'm Maori from Aotearoa New Zealand. There is a Maori Kapahaka composition called Te Matatini that we have groups from all over the country who perform each year. Here is one I recommend. They are called... Ngā Tūmanako - Whakaeke 2019.

The Beats by dre haka documentary is around 4-5 mins long, i suggest reacting to that if you would like great content but otherwise in your own time and amongst yourselves when you get a chance and it will hopefully explain a small amount of the Haka to you.
