This is the only away odi series win for them against a recognised opposition. They only ever won 3 odi series against recognised oppositions. 1 against England and 2 against New Zealand, including this one. Don’t why you guys prise Zimbabwe so much. They were still minnows.

@@Typhus1234 That's because they never frequently travelled to other countries unlike other major teams. Don't rule out their Test series win in Pakistan. Zimbabwe were an unpredictable team, 10 times better than what they are today.

@@stylingtravelwithjoel they only won 2 test matches at home against India who at the time can even lose to an English 2nd league county team. 2 against Pakistan which includes one at home and one away. Also I am a bit iffy about those two matches. Never trust Pakistan. Their players are so cheap you can buy them out for a dinner. Mind you the two test matches were abandoned due to fog from what I can remember. Hence they won the series. Ask yourself one question why Sri Lankan never lost to Zimbabwe away or at home. Hell don’t India even. In a 10 year record when they were good they won 4 real matches. Pretty pathetic. Sorry but true. Also they toured a lot. Just never played much test matches.

@@stylingtravelwithjoel they won four test matches against recognised opposition. Indian was pathetic away and Pakistan games seemed a bit iffy since they are known for match fixing. Their series win against Pakistan was due to last matches being abandoned.

May be their their team weak than opponent but they can give big surprise even Australia at that time.

What destroyed cricket Zimbabwe was a small pool of players. There was 8-12 quality players and nothing else. Mugabe just helped them on their merry way . They didn't have a good feeder system

They only won 3 odi series against recognised opposition throughout their 10 year heydays. That’s pretty pathetic. Plus New Zealand was an average team at best back then. Wouldn’t call this an achievement. Ask this very Zimbabwe team to play against the current nz team. Not even India will win there.
