Back in Newark again! Today we take a stroll through the Ironbound Section of Newark, NJ or its East Ward to visit the infamous Hyatt Court Housing Project. This project is infamous in the Newark area for being a hardcore Crip neighborhood, specifically the Newark faction of the Los Angeles west coast "Grape Street Crips". The Ironbound itself is known as the best ward or section of the city to live in but the projects are the projects. These projects are less than a 5 minute drive and at most a 10 minute walk from Mildred Terrell Homes aka River View Court, another infamous housing project that the city is preparing to be demolished. I've posted a link to those projects down underneath. Fun Fact, this is also Queen Latifah's neighborhood! The Legendary actress and rapper represents Hyatt Court.

This is the Ironbound section of Newark where there has always been a lot of pride in the property and a true sense of community.

Outside of maybe NYC, Chicago and LA Newark probably had the wildest projects back in the day! I remember Prince street, Little Bricks, Columbus Crazyville (Scudder i think was the name) that other one across from that police station and Seth and that other one around the block (I forgot the name of it🤔) on the South Side was WILD AF when we used to go over to Newark from the BX back in the days! These projects look like the suburbs compared to the ones i just named!💯💯💯

@@boomdat3493 compared to projects like the Polo Grounds! Millbrook! Bronx River! And old ones like Robert Taylors! Cabrini! in Chicago! And Prince St and Columbus in Newark they do! You obviously haven't done YOUR homework! Or been near any of these projects if you think Hyatt court anywhere close to those jungles! Not even bruh!!!😂🤣

@@brianhardy2502 I don’t have to do my homework or research bro I have been to all these projects except the one in Chicago ! projects are projects bro it’s all the same shit tbh ! gangs , threat of random shootouts robberies extortion and everything in between is something that takes place in every housing project if you’ve made it out of one you can make it in another being someone who really come from that we leave all the statistics and comparisons to the white people

I used to live around here on Ferry Street. Its a good old style Portuguese place with really good people and restaurants as well
