Picked up a pair of these in store today at 303 on the Hill in Boulder. Already was going to get them but even better to support the skate shop I grew up going to.
Hell yes! For sure! Did you know about the shoe before or did you find out from my video? Sam / new balance hooked it up with a personal pair a few weeks ago but I was too busy to make a video
kind of hoping I don't get screwed on these. I ordered pair from 303boards like 6 days ago and still hasn't shipped. I even paid expedited shipping. It seems like all the shoes I really want or get excited for. I always have problems with shipping, just being able to get the shoe, package getting lost or some other problem.
@@stevhen6 thanks bro i finally did receive pair Friday they had issues with over selling stock. So they had to wait for more pairs to come in. Def an awesome pair no doubt already wore them Saturday. Glad i got 2 pairs.
I got ONE pair of these headed my way... But I might double up. I didnt know the packaging was good when I planned on copping. I grabbed my Ishod from 303 and got the noti for these via my email. Crazy collab they did. Never heard of 303 until I made my Ishod order this year.
Can’t go wrong with this shoe. They have full length foam, andrew reynolds was sketching the whole thing out on paper and everything. They fit true to size but for me they felt big until I wore them a few times. Unfortunately I have the white leather pair with black outsole and I can not skate them. Need some beaters…
@@DavidBluetile I know what you mean. I used to wear snug shoes, until I noticed that I was causing permanent damage to my foot when I ran or skated in them. I don't have a wide foot, so I can usually fit a half size down but then it starts to restrict some natural movement. Recently I bought some af1 hi's (sculpt sail sesame) that were slimmer but mainly for women (all the models wearing it are guys tho) because they were really nice and they didn't have the ankle strap. They are too skinny overall even though the length was fine. My arch that I've been nursing an injury to throbs whenever I wear them. I also learned that you can take the strap off so I could have bought any hi top, and that the women's model has air only in the heel. All the websites state sizing is universal and they provide a conversion. But it is not really universal. My size ended up being too skinny so I would have needed a half size up. The cushion in that shoe is much nicer than the basic af1's at the store... but sometimes buying shoes that fit bad happens. The 480 just needs to break in because of the outsole with foam in it. When I buy the non skate ones (I have 2 pairs) I always get a full size down! The toebox is also a different cut but looks great! One time I found myself with foot pain after having to mess with my cuboid to put it back into place a bunch of times and that's all I wore for a week. I found the skate ones to feel exactly the same once broken in, but at first they felt more flat and rigid inside. They get very, very comfy after a few wears though and feel like the originals which have an ergonomic shape imo. I just don't know why the originals don't have foam inside if reeboks and dunks have it, from my understanding if you're a heavier guy the hollow cupsoles kinda suck.
I found a pair of all white non-sb 480’s for 20 bucks last week! New from an outlet store. It was a steal!! Currently skating the spitfire sk8 hi’s because I was looking for arch protection and they were just sitting around in my room looking stupid. The thick vulc works and it has some kind of shank in the heel part. The insole goes flat though if you land straight on your heels. I haven’t found a pair of 480’s to skate with yet. I would try some dunks too. Seen some videos of shoe cutting and they have different foam inside… but when I think I find something that works, there’s an issue and it makes me keep looking. I see how excited you are about these even though I’ve never heard of this artist and that’s awesome, but like I’ve said I’m kinda just looking for that perfect skate shoe sometimes! I ordered some dunks on stockx with the intention to skate them up and they cancelled three times. Every time the seller sent the shoe they told me to go screw myself, lol. Edit: And then they said a bunch of lies like he never sent it when I have the email. I now call it brutalist ebay. The first time I ordered some new J’s that looked like the koston lowtop jordan 1 and they came from europe with super soft leather and I was kind of impressed actually.
oh dude I love Jeremy fish. his art is super creative. ive been to a few of his gallery shows as well and he turned some of his painting into sculptures out of this dark mahogany wood. it was epic.
kinda! except this model came out two or three years earlier than dunks and Jordans. in fact Michael Jordan was wearing this shoe in the iconic photo that inspired what would become the jump man logo. Nike hired a photographer to recreate the famous silhouetted photo to avoid paying royalties to the original photographer.
