This is what Dan from LE Wilson said after he watched my video:
Order of steps to set up die.
Unwrap and inspect
Wipe all excess shipping oil off
Remove cap and punch assembly
Check one of your fired pieces of brass to make sure it fits well in the die. If it is protruding out the top of the die. They you may have a slightly oversized chamber and we will need to open up your die a bit. We do not charge for this service.
Now it is important to note all brands of brass will vary a little in the thickness of the case wall. Measure for the brand and batch you are sizing.
Measure and figure bushing size. By subtracting .003 you are allowing .001” spring back to give you about .002” grip on bullet.
Insert Bushing with numbers up.
Replace cap and punch assembly. Use decap case to line up brass
Best to check the first round with the bullet seating to make sure you have the tension you want/need on the neck.
You are now ready to size. If you switch to a different batch of brass or brand you will need to refigure bushing size.

You are AWESOME! I wish more people were reloading enthusiast, especially women. Good luck and welcome to the community. I truly hope you enjoy it as much as must of us. It’s so much more than a hobby. Cheers.

Neat device. I remember when I was about 37 a guy at work sold me his RCBS rock chucker with 4 sets of dies, a bunch of powder, some primers, bullets, and some brass for $150. I took it home and taught myself how to start loading. I did read a lot of books getting started trying to be very careful. I’m 50 now of course the reloading equipment grew and grew. I bought two Dillon 1050’s and two 550’s and so on. I had to eventually build a 35x25 temperature controlled shop and man did I spend a lot of time playing with calibers. I ended up loading for 48 calibers and I’m so happy due to the way things are now even though getting components now kind of sucks but I had stocked up for a rainy day. It is relaxing and beneficial to say the least and my daughter likes it too. I am hoping for better times with the supplies. I do not compete anymore, I just like shooting. I enjoyed the video, keep posting.

@@9dollsELR I have a little 12 year old girl that loves your channel and leans over my shoulder wanting me to watch your videos. After a lot of repeats I told her you are busy with other things and don’t have anymore vids right now

Also remember if you switch types of brass to measure and do it all over again. Lapua brass is quite a bit thicker than most range brass as example. Glad to see more women getting into the hobby, now if I could get my wife involved I’d have it made lol

Question.. what's the advantages besides not taking up a lot of space.. ? I've been using a lee hand press for years , and it works for me .

my favorite is the seater, I set it and its ready for me the next time I'm loading, I still always double check with my calipers. I have a wall full of calibers I reload, and it's nice not having to reset everything when change. I also bring it with me when I go to the range, do some fine tuning on my loads, I travel with it when I'm on the road.

I’m using Hornady Match dies with bushings and try to get .001 neck tension for my bolt gun. You should get about .002 neck tension if your brass springs back .001. That’s plenty and your bullets should stay put in the case during rough handling and in the mag.

I bought a small box just so I can bring reloading set up while I travel, one day I'll reload at the range

9 dolls It’s a great idea for when you have downtime and a pile of spent brass, looks easy. Maybe Santa will get me one.

I don't like doing all the math too many variables. Just seat a bullet and subtract what you want for neck tension. Problem with bushings is each lot of brass is different wall thickness. I would suggest going .005 small and using a mandrel to final size. It makes the variables go away.
