What about calling back the Chief's defensive touch down when the Eagles player clearly had control of the ball. That was a catch and he fumbled; that was not an out of bounds catch. And what about the out of bounds catch that was flagged? The refs called it in favor of the Eagles and that call could of gone the other way. The holding call took more time off the clock and that is all it did. The Chiefs could have scored a touch down but chose to eat up the clock and go for a field goal. The game was not rigged. If you watch every play, most of the time a penalty could be called. Get over it.
Right that was 1 of the few times I didn't even think to get mad at the player for yelling at the refs.. Sullivan had every right. Took away both of his game changing plays for nothing
The refs looked like they were making it their personal mission to piss Sullivan off by taking away his 2 touchdowns and then flagging him because he got rightly pissed off at their incompetence of doing their job. Sullivan had every right to be pissed off at them. The refs for that game should get an F grade for their performance
They're not being punished, if they were then this obvious bad calls would be less, not more. I'm beginning to think they either have bets on the games or the NFL is more like WWE with a scripted outcome. No way refs are this bad on purpose.
That's exactly what I was thinking. Ridiculous that these videos are longer than some of the highlight videos from the games. When is the NFL going to start punishing these refs for these horrible calls. There are a good number if calls that impact the outcome of the game. Are the refs paid, blind or both?
Turns out officiating is hard. That said, if you can do better, your local high school association is interested in your services, and after only a few years, you can move up to NCAA, eventually trying out for NFL.
@teebob21 nobody said it was easy but when you have refs that are trained in this shit and make damn good money to do it, they shouldn't be this bad. And if they are, they need to be fired. We have refs looking right at a play where there's a blatant foul and they don't call it. Or when they look at the play on review and still get it wrong. Not to mention it seems to happen a shit ton and the most egregious calls seem to always happen in the biggest games. I can't stand the argument of why don't you do it. Its lazy as fuck. Being a ref isn't our job, it's their job. They are getting paid a shit ton of money to do it and nothing happens to them even when they mess up week after week. The league doesn't even address it.
@@bryandedon7459Agree 100% I mean nobody is perfect but when some of these calls are so blatant that it brings up questioning and head scratches then someone needs to hold them responsible. I'm talking more than a statement from the NFL after the fact.
Nope sorry but just no the officiating in the second half of the colts vikings game was completely one sided like the supposed defensless player call between Gilmore and Jefferson i looked at that 3 times first of all jefferson dropped his head so they would call that otherwise it was shoulder on shoulder i would deem that a bullshit call every day of the week.
@@jameszeigler9353 The one where Gilmore jumped into him? Cuz if you think JJ dropped his head on that play then you need to get your eyes checked. And it's a penalty 2 ways. Hit to defenseless receiver's head or neck area and when you jump you cannot initiate contact with your helmet to any part of the body, which you could argue he did as his helmet was the first thing to hit JJ.
Also the call against colts safety Rodney Thomas for a sternum shot on Jefferson when he wasnt down by contact and or defenseless was a horrendous call too there was bad call on both sides some that helped the colts but alot that played a role in their demise too.
@@ualreadyknoitsyaboi Rigged for whom, dumbass? If the refs were going to rig it for the Vikings then why would they literally take 2 touchdowns off the boards for them and also call back a 60 yard return by Raegor on a nonexistent facemask penalty?
Well let me tell you the NFL actually uses part-time refs most of these guys got other jobs too some of them could be lawyers you just never know there's been talk of making rest full time where they go to training camp and they watch videos and they home their skills just like how players do so we don't have this b******* and I also make it where it's less likely they're doing legal s*** like gambling because hey there other job can make them more money and they can be making money off gambling if there are only full-time refs then they can't it also doesn't help that the last two seasons most of these rafts are Young a lot of the Old timers were retired
It's absolutely amazing how badly the Vikings got screwed by the refs... Yet the Colts still managed to give up such a massive lead... If the refs had actually called that game competently we might've gone from an epic comeback all the way into an epic blow out in one game.
The Vikings Colts game was THEEEE worst officiating I have ever seen in my life. The Vikings got screwed out of so many calls. The same thing happened in Buffalo when Vikings played the bills. The NFL needs to be doing something about this! 2 clear as day turnovers and we have all the "high-tech" equipment to even spot a guy picking his nose in the nose-bleed section. Come on @NFL!
@@sSylver Comeback against genius coaching veteran Jeff Saturday🤣 0 coaches have ever allowed a comeback like that. Must be merely coincidental that a new coach with 0 experience allowed such mismanagement 🤔
@@devonalomar9012 ngl I thought you said competent officiating. Obviously if we were facing another team we would've lost. We're talking about the refs though
As a washington fan i can't remember the last time I genuinely felt screwed out of a game without it just being cope. That whole final drive was a fucking mess of terrible calls
You get use to it, trust me as a Chiefs fan (since 2000) it never gets old cuz the refs (Jerome Boger & Carl Cheffers are some of the most bias assholes in the NFL)
As a Giants fan, I saw a hold before the pass as well as pass interference committed by the same defender on that receiver. Should have been 1st and Goal at the 1 yard line.
Agreed. Hitting them in their wallets might be the only way to get them to do their jobs right. People are imperfect, everyone makes mistakes, even referees. But there is no excuse for some of the bad calls I saw in this video.
Every call is reviewed and given a score. Only the officials with the highest scores are selected to work postseason games (which pay a lot more). On-field NFL officials only make about 200-250k per year, so implementing a system that punishes them financially for poor performance wouldn't fly. In fact, they would immediately strike were this to even be considered.
@@jeremiahkuehne2400 Just because the whistle hasn't blown yet doesn't mean the decision hasn't been made. There's such a thing as timing in officiating: see the entire play, judge all of the elements, decide on a call, make the call. In the same vein, umpires don't call a pitch the instant it crosses the plate.
Hockey has the same problem and it is called the parallax angle. It is hard to truly say from those angles if he is for sure out of bounds with nothing directly on the top of that spot to show it. Mind you it is just going from those replays that were shown from the broadcast. Still I agree with you that he was out of bounds but there is a science to it if you really want to look into it.
@@bigevil66623 Correct. I think the call was missed, but there was no clear and indisputable video evidence. That said, this isn't one of the gross misses that replay was brought back to correct. In order for replay to become the end-all be-all of backup officiating, the NFL will have to commit to installing boundary cameras in every stadium for the sidelines, end lines, and goal lines. Neither NFL nor the owners want to take on that expense, no matter how loudly the fans cry for it.
The fact they called that a touchdown for the raiders mind boggles me. His foot was clearly out and there was no angle in the world that said otherwise. Even worse earlier in the same game Nelson Aghalor caught one similar to that, the refs reversed the call. If the refs got that right the Patriots would have never made the dumbest play in the history of the sport.
@@SuperLegendkiller21 On the international side, Hull led the United States to an Olympic silver medal at his second Games in 2002 and topped the tournament in scoring as Team USA captured the inaugural World Cup of Hockey in 1996, the first of his two World Cup appearances. He also participated in the 1991 Canada Cup and made his debut in a Team USA jersey at the 1986 International Ice Hockey Federation Men's World Championship.
Na, The announcers have really been calling out crappy plays as much as they can, some of them are even blatantly and obviously saying that it's bad or terrible calls that needs to be fixed. I mean Nate Burleson was calling The refs out so hard, and everybody was just yelling at him for being a homer.
They are probably advised not to. When they do call it out, they're probably getting heat from their producers, so take those as bold statements when they happen.
depends on who it is. seems like troy aikman wants to 'let 'em play' and tony romo will call out anything wrong he sees. but i'm most suspicious of the former players. seems like they usually have aikman's bent.
Honestly just have the announcers referee at this point. Atrocious calls. Can't believe Vikings were robbed of 2 fumble touchdowns and a huge kick return and still came back to win.
Actually dojn't do that. Aikman thought "There wasn't a whole lot there" despite Jalen Ramsey having a handful of jersey. He is as blind as the refs are.
You didn't get the flying punch no call on Mahomes, or McKinnon's "block In the back" and the bodyslam on JuJu Smith Shuster, or the unessesary roughness on Kelce, other than that good list.
There were so many calls in that game it made me absolutely sick to my stomach.....then i seen what had happened in other games and just can't help but think this season is fixed from the get go.....chiefs easily should be 13 and 1 with their only loss being 4 points to buffalo.....there were calls in the cincy game that swayed it in favor of bengals changing the flow of the game and then the call against jones in the colts game that extended the game winning drive...... sickening
Players: "Kellan Cole was out of bounds" Commentators: "Keelan Cole was out of bounds" Former Refs: "Keelan Cole was out of bounds" Patriots Fans: "Keelan Cole was out of bounds" Fans of 30 other teams: "Keelan Cole was out of bounds" The Ref: "KeElAn CoLe WaS iNbOuNdS"
Unfortunately, this is the ONE time I actually agree with the REF, a majority of the guy's foot was inbounds (and b4 y'all ask, no I'm not a raiders fan), but other than that, these refs do SUCK.
@@JoTo150 I thought the rule about this was that it has to be at least the toe touching inbounds, and it will be considered incomplete if any part of the feet landed out-of-bounds first. Again assuming the WR had possession during the process.
@@JoTo150 "A player is out of bounds when any part of their body touches a sideline or other boundary line or when they touch anything other than a player, official, or pylon that is outside of the boundary line."
@@xavierchen7054 Correct. The rule is also that video must provide clear and indisputable video evidence to overturn the call on the field. No angle provided that evidence. All available angles rely on conclusions drawn because of the parallax effect. "Call stands" was the correct replay result by rule.
I think the big thing is when the announcers says the officials made a bad call cause most of the time they try to avoid picking a side, so if the announcers straight up say missed call that’s how you know 😂
There were a few clips that didn't belong in this video and many many more that should have been..... that's why i watch these after watching all the games and replays that i can during the weekend
This season has been a major blunder for reffing. They seriously need to start giving the refs fines. All season long I've felt like the footlocker refs are back. Images from the GB SEA game where one signaled incomplete and one signaled TD have been on reply in my mind. NFL should be ashamed of themselves for how the games have been handled.
I just CANNOT FUCKING BELIEVE THE VIKINGS COLTS GAME. So glad I’m not a big fan of the NFL anymore, haven’t kept up with it till very recently, and really don’t feel like I missed anything. Just an abysmal set of damn refs. The unprofessional carelessness that permeates our modern society is undermining the integrity of everything including sports and entertainment.
Good comment. Although one thing I'll say that it's not actually carelessness. It's very deliberate. Lots of money and betting involved, along with the league wanting certain teams to succeed for various reasons.
Well, even in the NBA the challenging is mostly useless because it uses up a timeout even if you're right. And the refs will often just ignore the fact they're wrong (even though we can all see the replay) if it's an important call anyway
My honest opinion on the bad calls are,,, Sports gambling.. Once it has become somewhat legal. Everything has gotten even MORE fishy about professional sports.
As a Pats fan, the Keenan Cole TD pissed me off. However, the Vikings and Commanders absolutely faced the most egregious bs calls of the season in their games. I mean what the hell. Both of Sullivan's TD should have been counted, they couldn't have been any clearer.
Only one penalty from the Texans game? Mahomes was slung down by his neck and got punched in the helmet. Kelce also got a penalty because a Texans player wouldn't let Travis stand up.
There were definitely a few calls in that game that could have been shown in this video.....the forward progress that was called and then reviewed....they stole that possession away from the chiefs.... and a "blindside block" when the defender was chest to chest/face to face.... similar to the "crackback block" called against kadarius toney in an earlier game..... it's been HORRID!
Don't forget Cheffers throwing a flag nearly every play in the 4th quarter just to pick them up after the other refs talked him out of it. Dude has a vendetta against the Chiefs
I think it might have been that sell job by Ramsey tripping. But they wouldn't have called anyways as they stopped caring about people knowing that they rig games
They were chest to chest and face to face....it was similar to a crackback block they called against toney a few games back....plus the forward progress that they reviewed when it's not a reviewable play..... complete joke!
Thank god we won the game those two missed calls on Sullivan would haunt Vikings fans forever. I am so glad we didn’t pick up Suh. He was the dirtiest player with Nebraska and is the dirtiest player in the NFL.
Refs should be restricted from stopping plays while they are in progress. Many games would have different outcomes if refs couldn't prematurely end plays by calling them dead when the play is still being contested.
The offense substituted, so the defense must be allowed to complete their substitutions and get in position. The U should have stopped the snap entirely, and blown the play dead, as Blandino pointed out.
A common tactic for rigging games is: They give 1 egregious call / non-call for 1 team, to distract from all the rigging for the other team. They draw a lot of attention to the 1 egregious, and then little attention to the rest of the rigging for the other team. So, a lot of these clips are for that.
Until refs are held accountable and be fine for wrongful calls, it will not change at all! Refs are no diff than players when they know they're wrong! A game is determine by refs who will win or lose! It is a business !
@@teebob21 do it enough and you don't have a job to worry about being fined for messing up. Nfl refs don't have to concern themselves with either and that needs to change
Everyone talks about how the Falcons blew a 28-3 lead in the Super Bowl, no one talks about how there were no offensive penalties against the Patriots in the 4th quarter.
You missed the Tampa Bay call on 4th down Bucs sacked Burrow for -30 yards and they called David for holding he bumps Chase then they get tangled on the right side of the field but at that exact moment Burrow is reversing field going backwards the other way so as a ref why would you throw a flag guys got tangled up and it has no effect on the outcome of the play and it changed everything because Tampa still had the lead half way through the 3rd and after that play they fell apart prob ends up coming down to the wire that one but the refs ruined another game they are so bad lately
Players don't get fined for penalties. Players get fined for unsportsmanlike conduct and/or unnecessary roughness on the field. Unsportsmanlike conduct and unnecessary roughness also happen to be penalties in the game of football. Just because some A are B, and all B are C, does not mean that all C are A.
The Chiefs game was way more poorly officiated than just the one call. One Drive went from 1 & goal to 2 & 37 on penalties, then they gave houston the ball. How you missing that shit in here?
They're defeating the purpose for having instant replay , I thought that the instant replay monitor has the power to overturn the rulings on the field when necessary!
The refs were playing against the Vikings this week. Calling someone down by forward progress when they’re still fighting for yards then calling someone who is literally vertical down is ridiculous. The refs of that game should be fired and not allowed to work for anything besides middle school football in the future
We need a public post-game review and rating of ref calls. Rate the refs like you rate QBs and put their jobs on the line. Best refs get most important games, worst refs get fired and replaced. This will also get the good refs some much needed respect on their names. They hold positions extremely vital to good and fair games and deserve some recognition imo. With how private and shady it all is, especially with betting, NFL risks ruining public trust in the league. If they're rigging things for money in the short term, they will lose out over the long term.
This is the main reason I quit watching any NFL games! It seems as though these refs are told to fix the games! Either that or they are completely blind! Disgraceful!!
Refs were on another level of trash this week. The NFL needs to incorporate refs from a booth in NY to phone in and make the calls. The Vikings second fumble.. they called him down! He was upright! If the defense has the ball let the play continue then review it. Golly
3:48 when your call is so bad and the entire crowd knows it and nobody can hear you even through your giant mic because of your gross incompetence is being called out by the fans.... Jesus the fans have every right to be livid.
I know there weren’t any calls from this game, but the ref for the titans-chargers game, the one in the thumbnail, was smiling as he announced each flag
