@@stephendacey8761 this game wouldn’t make sense to it being fixed by the refs since the refs were against the Vikings, they called back 2 defensive TDs for the Vikings and called a phantom “face mask” on a punt return that would’ve at least guarded a field goal if not a touchdown
I grew up in the 80s and 90s, and rarely did we see teams come back and win down 14 or more in the second half. It happened occasionally, but now it happens every Sunday in multiple games. I think it's rigged for Vegas
@@Guy_Incognito1 the way NFL handcuffs the defenses is a big reason. NFL is soft. They definitely favored Brady, Manning brothers, Brees, Rodgers, Favre, Warner
I have found that a large percentage of playoff games are really close now, too. And there is always at least one "miraculous" come back a week, it seems.
You should watch the Saints vs. Redskins the night Drew Brees broke the passing records. They brought in all of the old timers and he had to break it that night according to the NFL
@@hithere470 I was there on the field for that game. When the refs were heading out of the tunnel I was with a group of people and I pulled a 20 dollar bill out of my pocket and jokingly offered it to one of the refs. I said "give the Saints some good calls". It got a lot of laughs from everyone around, but the ref looked at me like he wanted to kill me. Later, when the guiness world book of records took the field and they stopped the game and everything, that ref called excessive celebration because of it. I like to think that was a "fuck you" to me from that ref.
After the 09 loss to the Saints in an interview I watched Brett Favre he literally said "I did what I was hired to do which was to take this team to a Championship game" he said it like it was on purpose that we weren't supposed to go to a Super Bowl. I found it extremely odd.
@@williamlane6077 if the nfl is scripted it’s only scripted by referees, it’s not entirely scripted by players and coaches too, it’s literally impossible to script a team sport because there’s too many people involved, so unless favre new the officials and the league were going to do whatever they can to have the saints make the Super Bowl then he was probably just overall saying he brought the team to a championship game because a year before him they were nowhere near the nfc championship

This is what I've been saying the past decade. Pro sports (and even college now) is so lucrative that it's impossible to maintain 'integrity' of the game. I remember when the Bears played the Texans this season, and there was a play where Lovie Smith thought the Bears committed a penalty but it wasn't called. He got into the ear of the sideline official and complained. The very next play, that official threw a flag for a non-existent holding call against the Bears. I used to think "no way" but after this week mainly highlighting the Commanders game I think it is. Commanders and giants are in the thick if a playoff race. All of the Owners and NFL hate Dan Snyder. If Commanders make the playoffs he will make a lot of money and be able to sell the team for more. On the other hand, The New York Giants Market is huge and the NFL will make way more money with the Giants making the playoffs instead. It just makes sense in certain situations.
I’m a Giants fan but I agree that last foul was PI. Also, McLaurin was given a thumbs up by the same ref who threw the flag. If that’s not shady I don’t know what is. There’s a difference between a ref genuinely missing a call and blatantly doing shady shit that everyone with eyes can see
Miami's been dealing with the same BS, because the league hates their owner, and wants to punish them for (very justifiably) firing Brian Flores. Miami has 2 losses that resulted directly from bad calls by officials.
Based on that last Vikings fumble recovery. The nfl needs to change the rule that would allow a challenge to the call on the field. Getting it right! It should be no different than when instant replay was first brought in.the refs are human, they make mistakes! Allow for a challenge that gets it right!
I had wished that NY would have refs watching the game via the tv cameras and when the refs totally blow a call, and everyone in America sees it, they would buzz the game ref and ‘do the right thing’. Now I’ve just given up, just can’t continue to watch these refs throw games anymore, not fun to see who the refs will screw next.
I’ve been saying all season that it’s almost impossible that the refs are this bad at their job at this level. Every game I watch I witness bs calls that are so blatantly wrong. How are we supposed to believe it’s not rigged when we all have eyeballs!?
Thanks for pointing out the Vikings punt return play. The two fumbles have gotten a lot of coverage, but that phantom penalty ended up being like 80 yards.
@@litofaneto2435 Nothing specific. Just the general way refs were making bogus calls, and I questioned if they were isolated incidents. Chiefs game had some egregious officiating, too. I'm skeptical of conspiracy theory type shit, but even this weekend during the Chiefs game, I was starting to believe the refs were told to help the Texans keep the game close.
There definitely seems to be something going on with the NFL season and the mass legalization and partnership with sports betting in the last few years is starting to raise a lot of eyebrows
I like my Bills but absolutely hate the NFL. If the Bills ever moved I'd likely never watch another game again other than for perhaps a few playoff games here and there. Shit, I've even not watched some Super Bowls in recent years. The focus on money, more games, teams overseas, etc. has polluted the product. The league's best years were in the '70s and '80s. The '90s were OK but began going downhill. It's become akin to the WWF. Anyone not thinking that the betting thing isn't affecting the game is naive. The other thing is politics. I'd better dollars to donuts that Washington got screwed at least in part because the league has it out for Snyder, whom no one likes, but they shouldn't take it out on the team, its players, and fans.
It's the opposite IMO. If any evidence came out that fixing was going on, then nobody would bet on the games anymore. Hence, there is a built in incentive to keep games clean to keep that money flowing. Not to mention ratings. Who would watch the sport if there was credible evidence that the games were being rigged by the league office? I know I sure as hell wouldn't.
The coziness with the sports betting companies and the NFL got my eyebrows raised when they announced it. Nothing good can come of it, and the NFL makes more money than God, so they really don't NEED the gambling revenue. It has happened before - if the score of a game affects the outcome of the bettin line, even if no player or ref is paid to be sure that they eithe beat the line or not, the perception of the fans will be that there is cooperation to get desired results. And most likely, it won't just be perception, it will actually happen, and it is my feeling that it is and has been happening for a long time. The betting angle just exposes is as be money-grubbing. The NFL IS the most corrupt of all the major sports. If someone wantst to say soccer, because of FIFA - I think the focus should be on FIFA, one of the most corrutp entities in the world. It looks like the NFL is catching up.
The refs literally determine people's incentives and pay in the NFL. They NEED to be held accountable. How the hell is challenging PI not a thing anymore!!!!
*Because the calls were never overturned, anyway* Nothing the league could do about it 🙄 Not like they could fire the refs or keep the rule in place, or something.
@@number3stunner118 They can. Unless their complicit of course. But that's just a conspiracy. And conspiracies aren't real because Alex Jones denied Sandy Hook.

In the patriots vs bengals game in the very next week rhamondre got stripped after taking 4 full steps backwards after being stopped by defenders but somehow that wasn’t ruled down by forward progress when the colts’ play the week before was. The inconsistency of play calling is honestly the worst thing about it, I can deal with bad calls if they were at least consistently called the same way across the board
The thing that makes the Commanders game so frustrating is that on one play their saying we’re going to call it by the exact rule even though that had nothing to do with the outcome of the play. Then two plays later they take the the exact opposite stance and let the players on the field decide the outcome. In both cases the call goes against Washington.
the last play of the game had two flags though that woulda cancelled out thibs had his eye poked out by an olinemen if thats not illegal hands to the face idk what is if thats the case and if all flags were called on the final play the flags would cancel out and the result of the play would still be a turnover on downs... but no one wants to talk about that....

With advancements in media, technology, and instant replay coupled with more eyes on the sport and more money involved, it just seems like this is a new thing, but to an old time fan like myself, it's been fairly obvious forever that corruption has been a big part of the league basically forever.
I say those EXACT same words all the time It's SO blatant man Kinda makes you wonder if they're aware of something much bigger about to happen thus there's no need to hide it anymore
I’ve said it time and time again, being a Lions fan, the NFL will never let the Lions be a contender. The countless bad calls against them over the years is overwhelming!
NFL flexing the Lions & Packers game to prime time this weekend when the Seahawks play the Rams the game before is rigged as fuck in the Packers favor man. Seahawks win and the Lions are out of the playoffs before they even play their game.
The easiest way to fix the issue is to have referee press conferences post game. Not that hard NFL. If they want to make a BS call, make them explain it to a reporter. You have to put a little bit more pressure on them to make the right decisions. Right now, there are no repercussions if they make a bad call
They don't want to fix the issue. They want to create storylines that generate revenue. Legalized gambling basically sealed the deal for any integrity the NFL may have had. It's just WWE now. Lame "entertainment".
I realized and accepted long ago that it's no longer "sports" but "sports entertainment." At least with professional wrestling they admit as much. With revenue sharing there's simply no way for an NFL team to lose money as long as the games are played. The officiating is an obvious mechanism [along with ridiculously complicated rules] owners can use to manipulate outcomes. Players and coaches know they can be strictly disciplined for speaking out so the show goes on.
Yes. The NFL rigs games. Ever since they went to a system which focused on Parity among teams, the referees have been able to change the outcome of games with a minimum number of “blown” calls. This is intentional. It enables the league management to manipulate the games to increase tickets sales/ ad revenues with a minimum amount of suspicion.
@@waynebryant1857 apparently you believe that a few billion dollars a year in additional revenue is not enough incentive for league officials to rig a few games by bribing a few referees. You’re a fool if you believe those officials are so incorruptible that they would rather call games correctly when the league wants them to accept the bribes.
I find the last two minutes of Super Bowl LVI questionable as on the key play one referee in a white hat ran out of the end zone just as the main referee was about to call a penalty against the Rams' offense, and after that little chat a potentially phantom offsetting penalty was also called against the Bengals' defense, and which caused an exciting goal line ending to change into the last drive to score by a quarterback would win the game!
Bingo! A study once found the same thing in baseball. Keep the strike zone big for the team behind (or the home team) and shrink the strike zone for the team ahead (or the away team). Keeps the games exciting and the fans entertained. Not really a 'conspiracy" except one to make money and keep audience interest.
I’ve been saying this for years. I love football because of the amazing things these players can do on the field. However, I no longer have any emotional investment in the game because the organic feeling and flow of the game is influenced way too much by the zebras. I am not a gambler in any form either, except for some cheap fantasy leagues. I am a Packers fan, I have clearly seen ref favoritism for our franchise, especially against other teams in our division. I’ve watched the controversies over the years, namely the No call PI in 2018 Saints vs Rams game and the numerous questionable calls in the Bengals and Rams Superbowl (particularly on the Rams final game-winning drive) just as a couple of examples. It is becoming increasingly harder to palate how the NFL officiates and frankly, when there are millions of dollars to be made for Vegas through the vigs they collect on a weekly basis, why would the powers that be simply leave that to chance???
As a Lions fan, THANK YOU! It is so refreshing to hear a Packer fan admit they've benefited calls against the division. All I ever hear from fans online and even real life friends, "dUH, wE JusT Be BeTterR." Yes, the Pack have absolutely made much better personnel choices over the years (and some luck in getting 2 HOF QBs for the past 30 years), but you can still admit they've really had some help along the way. Sadly, money is the ultimate official.
Think about this. Washington and NY had a really good chance of tieing again at 20-20 for the second time. If that happened, both teams would basically have a lock of the final two spots in the NFC wild card race. This would pretty much eliminate and end the seasons for multiple teams (Lions, Seahawks, Packers, Panthers, etc), which would decrease the NFL's revenue substantially for the next 3 weeks. Also, the payout odds for a tie, being it was the second one in a row, were stupid high. The NFL could not let either one of those scenarios happen. Tell me any different...
Well for one thing only the packers season would have ended seahawks would only be a game behind in the standings same the lions who own the tiebreaker on those teams aswell as Seattle and Carolina can still win a trash but competitive nfc south with 3 teams fighting for the crown
The same with raiders n chargers wk17 last year. Both had a chance to tie at the end of the game n both would of have gotten in the playoff, but the raiders ended up winning

So what about the incredible plays and moments which decide big games up to and including the Superbowl? Surely you can't think the players are able to pull nearly impossible plays off on-demand as some grand script they are sticking to? There are often multiple of those type of plays in a game. That's why people are more inclined to say refs are corrupt than this is some WWE style sporting.
The non call that lead to Rams making super bowl (was this 19?) was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. I was a weekly watcher before that and now watch a playoff game here or there. I've never been anything close to a saints fan, simply got fed up of poor officiating ruining good games. There's also the discussion of how coincidentally this benefitted their agenda of making LA an NFL city, but i was done before contemplating that part of the situation. American football is such an exciting sport, but such a shame the league running the sport's highest level is incompetent and corrupt.

Some BS penalties from watching this Giants this year: -Random "ineligible receiver" penalty negating a TD on the Giants' opening drive in the second matchup against the Cowboys. It probably took away all their momentum from the get go. All he did was gesture to his teammates. Pushed the team back causing the game winning FG to fall short, resulting in a tie. -Roughing the Passer against the Vikings. It came late in the game and was clearly a clean hit. It was the kind of play that could've cost them the game, but didn't.
I worked with a booky years ago. He had a phone directly connected to Vegas. He absolutley told me games are fixed. They werent necessary fixed to predict the outcome but on whether or not the spread is covered. That was 15yrs ago. Its obvious now with all the gambling tied to the nfl that they are fixing games. The eye test of just watching games and seeing the ridiculous calls being made and also the lack of effort by the players on plays.
What about last year in the playoffs. The refs gave Cincinnati a touchdown after the whistle killed the play. After discussing it they allowed the TD to stand which is impossible by rule The game was rigged but it didn't go as scripted so they ignored the rules
NFL has been rigging the vast majority of playoff games for 25 or so years now (atleast).....the rigging of regular season games has become typical over the past 10 years now. I stopped watching about 3 years ago.....I just couldn't take it any more.
A lot of the rigging is when they have a 2nd-3rd yr rookie great QB, Joe Burrow, Trevor Lawrence, Kyler Murray etc...or a new city franchise to promote the new market or a really hot HOF QB who they have been helping for years like Brady and Patrick Mahomes. If you just take those factors into account you can see tons of flags going for their teams. Maxx Crosby from the Raiders gets held blatantly a lot of the time but only gets 1 call per game average called, very very blatant holding since he's an Edge defender and its so obvious.
@@joelismymaster there was a game against kc i think last year when the Raiders had 15 penalties and kc none.. the Rams were pulling Crosby down by the face mask and the refs looking right at it and no flag... TD anyway
I dunno about some league-wide conspiracy to decide games ahead of time... but do I believe in what I like to call "give backs." Say the zebras blow a call at a certain point in the game. They botch it, and they know it. So they keep that moment tucked away in the back of their minds. Later in that same game, they botch another call, at a critical moment -- but it benefits the other team this time. So both teams are now "even," more or less. That's the "give back." The zebras blew a call, and ended up giving one team an unfair edge, but later in the game they gave it back. I've seen this so many times over the years, it's become almost predictable. I'd be watching a game, the zebras get something wrong, and I go, "oh yeah, team A is owed a give back," and lo and behold, later in the game, a holding penalty comes outta nowhere, benefitting team B. Pretty much every time. And I swear, some zebra crews give "hometown" calls. They subtly (and sometimes not so subtly) favor the home team. I dunno if they are afraid of having their cars keyed, or what. XD
A fan once sued for getting shorted by a bad call. In court the NFL said they were an entertainment industry. The only right that the fan had, was to watch the game.
It makes me angry when this happens I totally see the pattern of give backs. But if the refs just threw the necessary flags and got the calls right it would be a much funner game to watch. It would make more sense aswell and be harder to criticize ofc.
Happened in the first Raiders Chiefs game this season. Chris Jones got a roughing called and the zebras gave the chiefs favorable calls the rest of the game. including calling a holding on the Raiders during a field goal the chiefs missed. That call gave them a fresh set of downs inside the 10 which led to a TD.
@@dennistrull1475 And they are right to make that argument. The NFL isn't responsible for your gambling losses, regardless of whether or not the games are rigged.
I was a Ref for Middle and High School, and 1 thing people don't understand. The ball isn't everyone's focus. For example, 6 man crew is a middle sized crew, 2 near ball(white hat and umpire), 1 on each side(line judge and headlinesman), and 2 way back for deep long plays. Each ref has different responsibilities and aren't suppose to all be looking at the ball. It's a rotation or a cycle of view and mistakes happen. If someone sees a facemask a fellow crew memeber has to challenge him to have it not be called. Forward Progress is placed on the side REFS to call it usually and its is whoever has a better view gets the lead whistle. It becomes a trust system. It's hard for on the spot judgement calls and when everything is replayed it's more obvious when you mess up. It's a hard job and even baseball umps mess up and rarely get perfect games. The low amount of people doing the job and the fact it's secondary work for most people who do ref is adding to the poor quality. I'm not excusing it, I'm just hoping people understand that it's not simple as you think and we all mess up, like in the video it mentions the raiders and pats game. Where a picture after game released shows him inbounds despite the video saying he was out. NFL isn't rigged and also....REFS do makeup calls sometimes, and REFS do mess up calls, and REFS will try cover a mistake by calling a different penalty. God Bless Yall and Happy New Year
It started with the Thursday night game. Bosa hits the QB, Niners get a pick six off the play, but Boas is called for roughing. The hit itself was clean. The issue is, that pick six would have made the game 28-3 at that point, early in the 3rd quarter and it would have lost viewers. people in the stands had actually got up and started leaving the game.
I recall watching a video in which a fellow (who I think was a former NFL player) suggested with a nod and a wink that the outcomes of important NFL games were determined in Las Vegas, not on the field.
I think the NFL likes CLOSE games. They add drama, and cause chaos in the betting markets. The house ALWAYS wins in chaos. Also, bad officiating keeps people talking about the games throughout the week. It fits Jerry Jones' philosophy of "any publicity is good publicity".
That’s called scripted… and you understand the size of a coverup of what you are talking about. EVERY SINGLE non-disclosure signed by everyone associated with this would sign an nda knowing they could very well go to jail for rigging a game that has real money betting. I am well aware that the NFL has gotten himself declared in the supreme court as being entertainment. And a lot of people have affiliated them with the likes of the WWE, but there is a reason that there is not massive betting on the WWE because it is scripted. The billions of dollars of that ring that has gone into the NFL if the games were to be scripted would it be a nightmare for anybody involved. We are talking the league would probably be shut down, and many if not most people associated with go to prison.
@@steelkingdom90 yeah. More or less. I believe “rigged” is possible but more likely that the nfl strongly encourages refs about “calls they must focus on”. While scripted seems impossible literally at best
As a giants fan even I was blown away by the lack of pass interference call. We have had so many BS calls against us over the years that I really felt for the Washington fans. We know how it feels and don’t want to win games that way.
Jones first pass to Slayton was almost exactly the same, defender was on his back before the ball. It was just an relatively inconsequential play and we didn't see a slowmo replay. Refs also blew a Heineke fumble dead. If they had let the play go, Giants defense would have likely scored. I 100% understand the frustration for Washington fans. But that game wasn't rigged. The refs just sucked.
You should check out the raiders vs Rams thursday night football game. Crosby was getting held egregiously the entire fourth quarter…o lineman tackling Crosby to the ground with no call when baker drove down field for the game winning td. Ref was 5 feet away staring at it while it happened
Y’all raiders fr need to stop crying about holding against Crosby, you don’t think everyone sits there and points out the holds when watching their team ?

This season in particular I have noticed an atrocious amount of actual holding not getting called, but when it does it always seems to be in favor of the "preferred" or more popular team. Over the last few weeks I've noticed a trend where one team has lineman literally wrapping their entire arms around a guy, grabbing full jersey/pads on every play and not getting called for it, but when possession changes the less preferred team will get BS holding penalties every time a player surges towards the QB. And don't get me started on all the nonsense Pass Interference calls, where a QB purposefully lobs the ball downfield because HE KNOWS the ref will throw the flag. It all stinks of corruption and makes me not want to watch anymore. You can thank the nationwide legalization of betting and corporatization of bookies for ruining your favorite sports. Want proof? Look what it's doing to MMA right now as we speak.
I haven't had any emotion tie to NFL games in years... Because the Refs were always making bad calls. Now all I can do is watch the highlights and hope I don't see any bad calls to trigger me. It's just not good for me to get so angry when there's nothing I can do to change the situation.
Yeah. I’ve honestly stopped watching the NFL altogether for the most part. Thanks to college and being over a thousand miles away from home, plus the Panthers being absolute garbage, it has made it a lot easier for me to step away from the game.
This reminds me of the Steelers/Oilers game where the Oilers had a CLEAR TWO FEET DOWN IN THE ENDZONE touchdown but the refs said he was out of bounds and the Steelers went on to dominate in the 70s.
I've have been voicing this for years, that Refs should incur monetary fines for no calls and bad calls. They're not going to stop until you hit them in the wallet. Hell, they're making on average, $200,000.00 per season.
@@BradCarlMusic they are apparently making the games close for revenue proposes. Then something happens like Pats throw a last second interception, or Dark does, and maybe the team that was supposed to lose pulls it out. Or, they blow it on purpose?
@@dennistrull1475 Teams that are supposed to win losing gives more money in their pockets because Vegas benefits from the point spread bets as does the nfl with keeping games close for viewership. They know it too because despite how mad fans are, they'll still tune into watch. Only way shit changes is if there were some massive social media uprising that gets fans not watching the NFL on a weekly basis and tank their ratings.
This is super easy to fix. Review every single call/ most plays with a team in a booth. Have them vote on what the right call is. We have the technology. This could happen very quickly and not interrupt the game at all.
As a Lions fan I have seen the craziest and most phantom penalties just in the last ten years alone. Really that playoff game with Dallas proved it all when they picked up that PI flag and waived it off. Romo had no playoff wins to that day, but finally got one. The next week Dallas had a bad call go against them as well.
Didn’t the lions player grab the facemask of the Dallas player and pull? There’s a reason the flag was picked up. Dallas gets screwed by the refs just as much. Dez caught it, the severe lack of holding calls on opposing offenses, tons of weird penalties only ever called on Dallas.
Lions fan here that was at that game (lived in Dallas). The crowd was utterly confused. The refs never made any PA announcements, the Dallas PA guy made no announcements, the ball suddenly moved back 20+ yards. Everyone saw the replay multiple times on those massive screens and knew it was a PI. Not to mention that Suh was held multiple times on that "game winning" Dallas drive. Of course, no calls. Even Cowboys fans came up to me in my Barry jersey after the game and said we got screwed. That Lions team was good, had a top 3 defense and explosive offense-our best team since Barry years. That was our first playoff win since '91. There's actually YT vids and legit research that shows the Lions have been screwed over by refs more than any other NFL franchise. The past 10 years I've really lost interest in pro sports, and officiating is the main cause. It's obvious it's not 'fair' anymore. No, I'm not still bitter over my only Lions game in person being that shitshow...
The mere fact that literally 3 out of 4 games this year are being decided by less than 1 score lets you know everything. The refs just officiate the game to make sure it always comes down to the end.
Good video, it's been kind of obvious to me for a while that players, coaches, owners are corruptible in the NFL(and beyond of course)....and yes those darn referees are not only capable of making in the moment mistakes but also compromised, swayed by money to not see a penalty or make one up to effect a games outcome. Just like cops, i feel most are good with moral protective intentions and then ya got a few dirty one's running amok ruining the reputation of the whole. The calls in general in the NFL are so inconsistent these days. It's frustrating and wrong. And when it's this obvious it's a crime.
@@sunnyandbreezy I would think, largely the players aren't in on it. I also think the coaches have to know what the set up will be. But, a interception or fumble could still happen. This could cause a team that should lose, win in the final seconds.
@@sunnyandbreezy I would think the players would not know. The coaches probably suspect. But, a late fumble or interception could cause a team that should lose, to pull it out. Now days, you can't leave a minute on the clock.
@@sunnyandbreezy just saying on the flip side of referees... players and coaches and owners have also done illegal things in their favor. Not just talking about instances in one game, could be to affect their teams or another teams season. examples are the owner of Miami trying to pay Flores to lose games on purpose last year and the whole Saints organization getting busted for targeting(injuring) other teams players for money.(many years ago) I'm not saying the whole NFL is sour but across the board there are too many examples of men being corrupted. a lower than higher percentage but still. Doesn't natter what role you play in the NFL, if you are not legitimately playing true, you can affect a games outcome.
What makes me even more angry about all this is that each of these head officials makes $210,000 per year to do this job that actually seems like a LOT of fun and wouldn't be as hard as some make it out to be. Knowing that makes it even more unacceptable for a lot of the shit we see in NFL games.
A golf pro I knew.from San Diego was friends with several referees back in the 70’s. One of the referees told him that some games were definitely fixed. Follow the money.
The Patriots vs Raiders game and the obvious out of bounds that was still called a TD will baffle me for the rest of my years. The worst thing is that the ensuing stupid play which would not have happened if they got the call right will be how this game will be remembered. Thanks for bringing it up. I am now at my limit regarding interest in the NFL.
My father always told me to read the book "4th and 1" he said the whole league is rigged and that book exposes it. This goes back awhile in the 80s when he told me that but it's always been a problem
With regards to the Raiders/Pats game and the Cole/Carr touchdown. When they review a play, there are 3 ways it can go. A) Call Overturned (meaning there was enough evidence to completely reverse the call), B) Call Confirmed (Where they see what they need to verify that the call made on the field was 100% correct) and C) Call Stands (Which means they are unable to confirm either way). In the case of the angle you showed, it was from behind and perspective of that review would push the foot farther forward than it actually was. The replay of after that were you can clearly see no white powder kicked up after the foot came up was enough to case a shadow of a doubt regarding him being out of bounds, which is why they called it "Call Stands". Trust me as a Raider fan I know all to well refs making terrible calls. Tuck Rule, Index Card and more recently allowing a touchdown that happened AFTER the whistle was blown lol.
yeah isnt it funny how the raiders were all of a sudden a terrible franchise after Big AL stuck it to the league in court? Its not by chance all of a sudden Al doesnt know how to run a football team. Just think how great those Plunkett, Flores teams were to win SB's in spite of the league. Us in RAIDER NATION know all to well about the league refs is why it was shocking we got that call.
The other angle show chalk fly up from the front as his foot comes down on the line. The chalk flying away from his foot is OUT OF BOUNDS. You touch that chalk you are out of bounds. The tuck rule 30 YEARS ago has nothing to do with accepting a bad ruling today.
@@WhyDoIKeepFuckinUp to my knowledge, the "better" shots you are referring to were the stills that were not available until after the game. I do agree that there should be lots more cameras in stadiums thou.
The NFL has always put its thumb on the scale in anyway it can to help its bottom dollar. The one that broke me was the TEN @ KC playoff game. There was 2:38 left in the 2nd, Chiefs were up 14-0. Derrick Johnson sacked Marcus Mariota at the top of his pass drop, as the QB braces to take on the sack. Mariota fumbled and the Justin Houston recovered, with it being clear on multiple camera angles, and would have high-stepped to the endzone. The back judge ref had a pretty solid view and immediately called him down, winding the clock to the two minute warning. The broadcast wastes no time throwing to commercial break. The refs make up some bogus stuff about forward progress, which on a stationary QB sack is beyond stupid. Thanks Jeff Triplette. Oh you retired after that game, how nice for you. Then you slide into a cushy MNF gig, wonderful. You only lasted one year, that sounds about right. Anything to give Tom Brady a path to the Super Bowl that was Mariota's Titans and Bortles Jaguars. After how bad the Chiefs embarrassed the Patriots as the very first game of the NFL season. The NFL couldn't have Andy and Reid and Alex Smith at their marquee event of the year. Must be Brady and Bill. It has only gotten worse since legalized gambling. My football money spending has dropped to nearly nothing over the last decade. I've seen 3 live games and the highlights the next day for free on youtube. while sitting on the couch, is a far better deal. Time-stamped link to the game: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-muyyF2STgt4.html
they tested us to see how stupid we were when the Ravens played the niners in the super bowl. They shut the lights off because it was a blowout. I think it's starting to catch up with them.
If it was understood to all fans that the NFL is enterntainment that is manipulated to serve an agenda then I wouldnt care. But since so many dont recognize this, I feel compelled to tell others what it obvious to me. "Its scripted for your entertainment". No doubt about it.
I think it’s because the refs have been told to “when in doubt throw the flag”. This and the fact that they keep making the game harder and harder to referee with rules
I've been saying this since the early 2000s. Every year it seems there is always 1 big important game where the officiating is impossibly 1 sided for the team that it seems the NFL would/should prefer to win.
